Transition Instructions

When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7-10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best food ever I'm the proud owner of a newfoundland, great pyrenees and a mix breed. The newf and pyrenees came from rescues. Newf hated the food that was sent home with her. We had to use canned food just to get her to eat the dry food. Decided to try Taste of the wild. She ate the food without the canned food. What a blessing. Then the pyrenees came to our home. She just loved the food and of course the mix breed loved the new food. No problem with stools. After being on taste of the wild shedding is now getting better. Their coats are shiny and beautiful. The pyrenees had skin issues but after being on the food for 6 weeks now her skin problems have stopped. This is the best food I have used yet. My son has just put his shar pei and bully on it. Both dogs have stopped scratching. I recommend this food to everyone I talk to. I will never change. Love the food and the convenience of having it brought to my home. Thank you Chewy and Taste of the wild. September 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bring on the Bison and Venison! I have four different breeds of dogs and everyone of them love it! The kibbles are the right size for the Rotti, Great Pyr, and Lab AND I had started my 6 month old Frenchie on the puppy Taste of Wild High Prairie Dry Dog Food for puppies! She moves to the adult mix in a few months! It will be wonderful to have everyone on one of the finest foods available for my dogs! No allergies, no stomach problems, and beautiful, healthy coats - what more could a Mom ask for! So glad I found this dog food and what makes it that much better is that Chewy.com ships it to me for free and I never have to worry about running out of it! I tell everyone I meet who owns pets to give Chewy.com an opportunity to save them time and money by buying from them! Keep up the great work both to Taste of Wild and Chewy.com!!! October 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogs love the TotW food, great customer service from Chewy! We have two pitbull mixes, who absolutely love this food. No issues from the start, but we've done this before, and know when switching food, to slowly introduce and mix in the old (brand) food with the new. Eventually we've switched to using Taste of the Wild exclusively, with great results and dogs seem to love it. On a customer service note: I accidentally ordered two (2) bags instead of one once. I contacted customer service @ Chewy.com, who quickly replied, saying they could not stop the order, since it had already been passed to their shipping department. They kindly, and amazingly, removed the second bag from my purchase (refunded my money), shipped the second bag anyway, and asked that I donate the second bag! Couldn't believe it, but we made sure we took it to our closest animal shelter for their guests to enjoy! Thanks again Chewy.com! We are returning customers, and keep up the great service! Rated 5 out of 5 by Our dogs do great with this product. We have used this product for several years with both our older and younger small breed dogs. Our older dogs digest it well and it even was our answer to one dog that was extremely allergic to other foods. Chewy's delivery was quick and packaging was better than another distributor that we had used. Only suggestion we would have for Chewy is to make first time customer coupons available before you buy instead of after your not a first time customer anymore. October 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is our favorite brand It took me awhile to find Taste of the Wild but my dogs love it. I have a sensitive-stomach German Shepherd and an irongut Rottweiler mix. Both do very well on this brand. If my GSD eats anything new, he gets horrible, horrible gas and diarrhea. I found that Blue (the other grainfree, comparably priced dog food) gave the GSD looser stools. TotW gives them a normal stool. There are so many protein sources so you can switch it up slowly for your dogs-- to prevent allergy and boredom. I think the buffalo meat on this particular type is their favorite ever. Most other pet foods only have chicken, fish, or beef. October 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogs love it! We have three dogs and after feeding them this for the last few years, they still get excited at food time! The price is roughly $5-$10 cheaper than I was paying in store and with auto ship, I can't forget and run out! October 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great dog food Highly rated by professionals that I work with and highly rated by my dogs! October 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great dog food I started my dog on this food due to the good reviews and he has developed an allergy to Red Barn. I am very happy with this product. His stool is firm and he is not gaining weight. He is scratching less and hopefully in a few days his scratching will go away. I will continue to buy this product. October 25, 2016
