Transition Instructions

When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7-10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YAAAYYY!!!! I hope it's not too soon to say anything but.... I just got home and this bag of food was here. My dog is super picky. He's a big collie/shepherd mix. I was giving him Rachael Ray stuff, the big red bag, I don't know what the exact name was. But he never got too excited about it. In fact, he would only eat it if I mixed it up with either some heated up beef broth or a whole homemade mix of ground beef and veggies (cheaper and healthier than a can of dog food). But it was becoming ridiculous and he would still never really eat much. So as soon as I got home i opened the bag and gave him just a little. And like the rest of the reviews say, he dug into it immediately! I was so excited. It was nice to see him pounce on his food again. I haven't seen that since he was much younger. I know you're supposed to switch food slowly, but I don't think that is going to work for us since he won't even eat his old stuff. I'm excited to see how the rest of the bag goes for him!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My GSD Loves this I have an 80lb GSD who is very picky with food. Tried everything, from BB to even Pedigree. She was very difficult to find food for, and at times would only eat some of the food we would give her. Found this and tried it. Well let me tell you, she looks for this food all day long. Her coat, since her eating this, looks great. She eats every last bit with nothing to spare. Regardless if I give her the food dry or with warm water mixed in, she goes right for it. I can tell she digests this food perfectly and it really agrees with her on every level. I have finally found my GSD great, healthy dog food. Every website I go to and see this dog food, the reviews are thru the roof. I also see for the past few years this is rated as one of the top dog food to get. Very happy, I just wish I found this a lot sooner. I am looking to get another GSD, and cant wait because now I know what I will be feeding both of them. Well Done Chewy and TOTW, well done!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Lab loves this food We were feeding Wilderness Blue Buffalo, but I didn't like how small the bags were and the value just wasn't there. My dog was always hungry it seemed and so I was always changing my auto ship to get food earlier. Went on line and searched for top rated dog food and this Taste of the Wild came up as being second on the list. So went on Chewy and set up our auto ship. Since we started this food our dog is not wanting to eat all day she gets full and stays full. She is eating less in fact not gassy like was on the Blue buffalo. She loves the food she is excited when it's time to eat. I like that it comes in 30lb bags so not only are we getting more food, but it's also less money and I see she has a Shiny coat lots of energy even her bathroom breaks seem better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme Allergy Solution Our 9 year old Golden Retriever developed severe allergic reactions including several ear infections, brown spots, severe red, bumpy rash, runny eyes, hair loss, bad breath, "sickly" dog odor, exhaustion, very thirsty and constant itching so severe he would drag his belly across the carpet to try to get relief. After 3 months and several expensive vet visits including prescription medicine and shampoo we decided it was time to do our own research since nothing else worked. We determined he may be having a grain allergy so we switched him from IAMS Proactive Health to Taste of the Wild High Prairie-Bison & Venison(Yellow bag) just 6 days ago. This has been like a MIRACLE CURE! All of his all allergic symptoms have subsided already. He is happy again and running around and playing like he should be. He is no longer up all night scratching or exhibiting any of the prior symptoms! I cannot say enough good things about how happy and healthy that Max appears in just 6 days since changing food. Also, I did not make a gradual change from his prior food since he was obviously exhibiting an allergic reaction. We switched him straight over and he did not have any adverse reactions. He absolutely loves this food! We would highly recommend the Taste of the Wild~High Prairie! Also, I had three conversations with Chewy employees over the last week and their customer service is FANTASTIC! We are sold on Taste of the Wild-High Prairie and CHEWY!!! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs love the TotW food, great customer service from Chewy! We have two pitbull mixes, who absolutely love this food. No issues from the start, but we've done this before, and know when switching food, to slowly introduce and mix in the old (brand) food with the new. Eventually we've switched to using Taste of the Wild exclusively, with great results and dogs seem to love it. On a customer service note: I accidentally ordered two (2) bags instead of one once. I contacted customer service @ Chewy.com, who quickly replied, saying they could not stop the order, since it had already been passed to their shipping department. They kindly, and amazingly, removed the second bag from my purchase (refunded my money), shipped the second bag anyway, and asked that I donate the second bag! Couldn't believe it, but we made sure we took it to our closest animal shelter for their guests to enjoy! Thanks again Chewy.com! We are returning customers, and keep up the great service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Taste of the Wild is perfect for all our dogs! We have used Taste of the Wild for years, and are very pleased with the product. Our dogs are all healthy, have beautiful coats, and are very energetic. The best part is that this food is great for all three of our dogs, which range in size from a large Boxador, a medium Brittany, and a tiny Chihuahua. As for Chewy, this is our first purchase from them, having switched from another major supplier who no longer carried the product with free shipping. As we live very remote, free shipping over a certain purchase price is very important to us. Also, Chewy was HIGHLY recommended by others in my Brittany group, and so far it has lived up to its accolades. Our package arrived quickly, well packed but not over packed, and safe and sound. Budda, Spencer and Bruno ("Little Dog") appreciate it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best food ever I'm the proud owner of a newfoundland, great pyrenees and a mix breed. The newf and pyrenees came from rescues. Newf hated the food that was sent home with her. We had to use canned food just to get her to eat the dry food. Decided to try Taste of the wild. She ate the food without the canned food. What a blessing. Then the pyrenees came to our home. She just loved the food and of course the mix breed loved the new food. No problem with stools. After being on taste of the wild shedding is now getting better. Their coats are shiny and beautiful. The pyrenees had skin issues but after being on the food for 6 weeks now her skin problems have stopped. This is the best food I have used yet. My son has just put his shar pei and bully on it. Both dogs have stopped scratching. I recommend this food to everyone I talk to. I will never change. Love the food and the convenience of having it brought to my home. Thank you Chewy and Taste of the wild.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food for little dogs. I decided to purchase this food for my mini schnauzer after I read some of the good reviews. So far I am very pleased with this purchase. My schnauzer was a rescue dog I found who's teeth were such bad shape that the vet had to remove all but 10 of them! I've been trying to stay away from wet food in order to protect her last few teeth and I was struggling finding a food that was okay for her sensitive stomache but was also small enough for her to not struggle with! So far se absolutely love this foodd, I've been having to refill her bowl the past few days when I get home from work which has never happened with any other foods I've tried with her. So overall I'm very impressed with the foodd, it's a great product I would suggest for smaller breeds with few teeth. It also has ideal ingredients.
