Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

  • 4 year old Bull terrier is more fit than most dogs I see.

My dog started out with Bison - suggested by breeder - before he was a year old I switched to TOTW. He likes all the flavors but he prefers puppy kibbles. I wish they made all flavors in puppy size as he likes them all. I learned about the kibble size when breaking his Milk Bones in half. Bull Terriers are a funny breed and things you take for granted with other breeds do not apply here. He likes little bits and pieces of anything or else he tries to wolf it down which means he can choke on it. The best part of this food is it is essentially a Ketogenic diet, little to no carbohydrates, which is why his skin is tight as a drum and his muscles are prominent all the time. He maintains roughly 48 lbs at all times. His favorite playmate is a GSD 30 lbs larger than him and she eats a raw diet. Her owner is always commenting on cutting back her food to slim her down as she loves the appearance of my dog. Breed makes a difference as does diet. If he gets a treat it is some of my boiled eggs and or chicken. I am trying to adhere to a Keto diet at present but have a way to go to match him, if I ever do. He has always had too much energy, is sharp and alert as well as sleeps well. I recommend this food for any breed. … more

  • Exceeded my expectation

I bought this food because my boy started having terrible itchiness. He also suffered from poor weight gain, lack of appetite, and loose stools. While he still has some itchiness, it is much improved, and he LOVES eating again. He is already growing again, his stools have become solid, and I will continue to buy this food!

After researching many different brands of dog/puppy food and taking pricing into consideration, I settled on Taste of the Wild. I adopted two 4 month old husky/lab mix puppies who were being fed Diamond puppy food at the shelter. They both transitioned very well to Taste of the Wild with little-to-no issues. -ToW puppy kibble is very small. My puppies are large, but small breed puppies should be able to eat it just fine. The kibble is smaller than Diamond's puppy food, and Iams small breed adult dog food. -Both my puppies love it, even though they still attack any other dog food that's around. -Did not have mold or other such issues that I've read about. -The price is a tad higher than After researching many different brands of dog/puppy food and taking pricing into consideration, I settled on Taste of the Wild. However, it's hard to find decent (grain-free) dog food at a cheaper price. … more

This brand of dog food was recommended by the rescue shelter where we got our puppy. I have had other dogs and used different brands but I think this is the best food I have used. Our puppy loves it and he is healthy and happy. My order arrived the next day and in good condition. It was great not to have to go to the local feed store which is the only near by store that carries this brand. The price of the dog food with shipping is only a few dollars more but the convenience is priceless. Thank you Chewy!

  • Pup loves it

This was highly recommended for Bulldog puppies and my little one is 8 months so I thought I give it a try. He loved it from day one. It agrees with his stomach right away so very little transition period and no issues. The kibbles are pretty small so they tend to get stuck in his cheeks and drop on the floor along the way. :)

  • Not so much...

My puppy is about 50 lb & 6 month old... English Bull Terrier I thought this food would be great but he's not interested in it. I have to mix all kinds of things in it or he won't touch it unless he's starving... I'm sure it's not a terrible option but I couldn't give it a very high rating considering my guy really is refusing to eat it.

  • Love this food!

My dog loves this food! He is a 4 month old goldendoodle with a sensitive stomach. I have tried a couple other cheaper brands but they did not work out. I read a lot of great reviews on this product and they all turned out to be accurate! The price sucks but it's worth it to have a happy, healthy dog!

When we first got our boxer I was feeding him Taste of the Wild. He LOVED it! I switched to Iams for one week because I couldn't afford Taste of the Wild and when I switched it back to Taste of the Wild he wouldn't eat it. I really have no clue what's going on but people say the cheap Foods are just like eating McDonald's and everybody loves junk food, right? We have a beagle pup, who just turned 6 months. We had been feeding her Eukanuba since we got her at 3 months old. About a month ago she had just stopped eating, despite trying to add carrots or other healthy add ins. After reading reviews of TOW we decided to give it a try. WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!! She loves her food and now gobbles it right up!!! Would definitely recommend this food!!!

This was our first order from chewy.com and I am NEVER schlepping another bag of dog food around the store again! TOTW had the greatest volume of food for a price that I wanted to pay, so this is where we started. My 4 and a half month old Aussie is just not a fan of the flavor/texture. It seems difficult for him to chew. For both of those reasons I alternate between adding water or vegetable or beef or chicken broth. The added liquid helps. We will not purchase again only because the pup looks at me like "Seriously, mom. I can't believe you're making me eat this again," if I don't add the liquid. It is really pathetic....like me on a diet.
