My daughter has a pitbull Saint Bernard mix. His name is Rambo, and he basically looks like a pitbull on steroids he's just huge, probably 130 pounds. All other foods have caused him such allergies that he chewed his fur right down to the skin and he was all scabbed everywhere, he chewed the pads of his feet and he was constantly itchy and uncomfortable. He lost weight, his coat was dull. And even had some fungus or something in his ears that we could not get to heal up. We switched him to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream, and literally within one week we saw a magnificent transformation. He has put weight back on he stopped itching, his coat is beautiful he's well-muscled again, and so happy not itching he's healing well, and the best part is he only eats 3 and a half cups a day even though he's huge! before, he was going through a bag a week of 30 to 45 pound cheap food this is definitely the Cure we were looking for.. Thank you from the bottom of our Rambo loving hearts!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheri Excellent Dog Food!!
We have been raising Labrador Retrievers for 20 years. I have tried many types of foods. The average grocery store foods from other makers don't sustain our dogs, or give them healthy coats. We started feeding them Taste of the Wild about 8 or 10 years ago. They love the Wild Pacific Stream flavor the best!! One of our labs is now 15 years old. She is allergic to chicken, the main reason we switched. She eats well and has a beautiful coat, even at her advanced age. Our other lab, Dickens, is well over 100 pounds and eats 4 cups a day, which sustains him through the day and evening. They poop less, so less clean-up. His coat is healthy, shiny, and much better managed than when on the cheap foods. I took him with me to my daughter's house when I was babysitting their Lab/German Shorthair mix. Lilly eats less than Dickens does, but poops much more. He poops once to her three. Just amazed in the difference. Taste of the Wild is the best for our dogs!!!

Dude was a street dog when I came across him. He had a bad stomach, skin and allergies when I picked him up. He was the stinkiest, most smelly dog I ever met, even after he was bathed. I started giving him poultry and grain free diet. After about 6 months his allergies cleared, his stool became healthier, his itchy bumps cleared up too. Recently, I switched his food to Taste of the Wild and he broke out in itchy bumps not long after I had switched over. He also started to smell bad again even after being groomed and bathed. I thought Taste of the Wild would be just as good considering it is grain free and poultry free. I also thought it would be a more economical choice considering it's a larger bag for less cost. Turns out trying to save a few bucks on a different brand didn't work out to our advantage and my little guy ended up paying the price. Speaking about the previous food, if it isn't broke then don't try and fix it. I am currently transitioning him to the other brand that cleared him up from the start.

I worked with dogs professionally for several years. My two dogs, a 7yo husky-shepherd mix and a 3yo Pembroke Welsh Corgi, have been on this food since they were little puppies. Their health is excellent; their coats are soft. The fish and the Omega-3's are so good for them. In the entire time I've had them, I have not had a single issue with allergies, or digestive upset. The inclusion of pre-and-probiotics I'm sure lends itself to the food's overall good quality, and adds value to its price tag. And they don't need to eat heaps of it to get the excellent nutrition. A 75lb dog and a 28lb dog go through the 30lb bag in a month, compared to other brands which you need to feed them more in order to obtain the proper caloric intake. I would never feed my dogs anything other than Taste of the Wild, but I do switch up the flavors once in a while. My dogs enjoy the red and purple bags of Taste of the Wild too, and giving them something different doesn't upset THEIR stomachs, but your mileage may vary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cami Perfect for dogs with allergies!
My dog, a 70ish lb female Plott Hound, has a ton of allergies, both to her environment (ragweed, human dander, etc) and to food (chicken). She's needs a food without chicken meal and with plenty of Omega3s along with a few other requirements. I am a grad student with a limited budget so I did a lot of research and tried multiple foods with her. Not only is this food the least expensive, she loves it! Highly recommend this food in general, but especially if your pup has any allergies or dietary restrictions.

I'm still adjusting my dogs diet from the Taste of the Wild lamb based product to the salmon based product, but there has been NO discernable difference other than the smell so far. I'm still at 50-50 proportions with No bowel irritability. The dietary and nutritional %'s are identical for both products. I switched to the salmon protein, hoping that my dog would shed less and have healthier skin, but at this point, 1 week, its too early to tell. My vet thinks that the whole TOTW product line is a quality dog food at a good price point

Have a mastiff and Bernese mix who have stomach issues & food allergies. TOTW works for both of them. Their coats look great, they don't constantly scratch, and no more gas problems! They love it! Chewy.com delivered in an extremely timely fashion!

by Jamah My dog LOVES it
Mr. Buddy is pretty particular with dried foods, but he really loves this one, so do the neighbor dogs. My only complaint, is he smells a bit like a fishtank after eating it, obviously from the fish. We know it's healthy for him, so it's no big deal.
