Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.

  • Weaned Puppy/switching kibble.

I just recently adopted a 6 week old lab/Staffordshire pit mix. Who's mommas milk dried up early, she was on a different brand kibble and not being monitored for feedings. She only had at most one day of some watery stools when I started her on the Taste of the wild Pacific puppy grain free brand. I also put I tiny bit of milk replacement in it for about a week, then switched to water then stopped. She is sleek, happy and healthy. The vet was so impressed she asked what I was feeding her. When I told her she thought for sure it was a prescription brand, or fresh wet food. But a friend of mine recommended the Taste of the wild Pacific because of the omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, and how shiny her girls coat was. I love this brand, and so does my baby at least so far! … more

  • Great puppy food

    By on

My golden was having loose stools after switching her to blue wilderness, she was having loose stools throughout the day so I decided to try taste of the wild after reading the great reviews. So happy I did, I also switched her from chicken to Pacific stream as I have read some puppies can't tolerate chicken flavors. Stools are solid and soft now with minimal smell. My golden and king charles both seem to love the taste as well! I only wish taste of the wild had a closure to the bag to keep fresh otherwise would have gotten 5 stars! Chewy service is impeccable, keep up the great service chewy!!!

  • Salmon or Bison?

    By on

So the quality of the food is great, especially for my growing husky puppies with thick puffy fur. The salmon helps their coats look super shiny and soft, my only concern is that one of my puppies seemed to like the Bison formula better but he started to get a hang of this one since I wanted to mix it up a bit. Of course great quality comes with a cost but Chewy keeps it at a reasonable price.

  • So far so good!

    By on

Tried out a small 15lb bag to make sure my dog liked the flavor. My dog is a mutt looks like a border collie shepherd mix and hes about 8 months. He had mostly soft stool before on this food, have been trying to find a good food thats healthy and will firm it up and this does the trick. About halfway done with this 30lb bag and planning to stay on this food for a while

  • Not my dog's favorite

    By on

Bought this because of the whole Fromm/Chewy break-up and subsequent deal on new food for our dog... my wife's friend at work recommended this brand, but we're now on the second flavor variety and our dog hasn't been interested in either... she's a bit of a picky eater but we've literally had to add something in the bowl to every meal (chicken, cheese, fish oil) or she leaves it sitting in the bowl all day. The ingredient list seems pretty good; who knows! it might be the dog. The situation surely makes it hard to give it a rating good or bad. Still got a bag and a half left so we're sticking with it for a while... might try another brand next time.

  • Great service

    By on

My orders are always are shipped quickly and correctly. Customer service is awesome if needed. Zeus loves everything I order from you guys from food to treats to toys, bones, collars ect. He really loves the crinkle paper that you put in for packing that's the first thing he does is rips all that paper apart. Needless to say he gets very excited when his packages come from chewy.com. thank you for your wonderful service.

  • Puppies love it!

    By on

My aunt bred purebreds for years and she highly recommended this brand when we brought home 2 puppies. I have been using this brand, but another flavor, and my dogs seemed a little bored and so I switched to this flavor a few weeks ago. They got all excited when I opened the new bag and didn't seem to have any major reaction to switching the food flavor since it was still the same brand. I think I might continue to switch up the flavors every once in awhile to keep things exciting for them, but the brand is definitely great. We have nice shiny coats in this house!

  • Dog likes it better than the High Prairie.

    By on

My 65-lb Standard Poodle---nearly 8.5 months-old now---likes this flavor better than the High Prairie stuff. With the latter, he became finicky and seemed to eschew eating his meals from time to time. Being a Standard Poodle though, he's never the type of dog to gulp his food voraciously, but rather, stays somewhat controlled, deliberate and relaxed about eating (so much so that, as with other "Spoos," we can just leave a whole day's worth of food out in his bowl, and he comes by from time to time and eats little-by-little throughout the day). But the point is that he likes this flavor better than the other puppy-food flavor; I'm looking forward to when he can transition to adult food, and My 65-lb Standard Poodle---nearly 8.5 months-old now---likes this flavor better than the High Prairie stuff. • Best food for my Border Collie mix puppy

    By on

After 2 months of testing several different foods from Petco, my puppy (border collie/red heeler mix) was just not eating her daily recommended servings of food. She seemed to like my roommate's dog's food, which is a grain-free salmon flavor. So I thought I should find some puppy food with a fish flavor, and to my surprise it's extremely hard to find! At least, it's difficult to find a fish flavored puppy food that is also grain-free. My puppy also seems to prefer a smaller kibble, which this has! So glad I could find this on Chewy, and in my opinion it's quite affordable as far as grain-free dog food goes. And the shipping was super fast, I wasn't expecting it in the mail so soon. • Boxer Pup Loves It

    By on

We struggled to find a food that my boxer puppy's stomach could handle and keep on weight. We found it with this food and it has been a blessing! He loves it and is doing so well with this food. We tried over 10 other foods before finding this and our Boxer can't be happier!
