Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

  • Makes your dog SMELL of fish meal and Calcium/Phosphorous amts are hidden

    By on

Our 11week old rescue puppy was on this food from the rescue so we continued, as he tolerated it well. After reading reviews on dogfoodadvisor and dogfoodanalysis, this food is rated ok-but not the best. It gets 4:5 stars and my concern is that the label is not clear about how much calcium or phosphorous it contains. These 2 ingredients are important to know especially for large and giant breeds. No more than 1.2-1.8% Calcium and no more than 1.0-1.6% Phosphorous should be given to a puppy on a daily basis or may increase the risk for bone and joint injury/illnesses. That being said, their website doesn't even state how much Ca+ or Phos-not good. We thought the fish smell was due to the previous owners who neglected and did not care for him, but after a few weeks we decided it was the food. We switched him to a higher quality food and what a difference it has made. He doesn't smell fishy any more. I would sure love to know the Ca and Phos amounts in this puppy food, it worries me they don't disclose it.... … more

  • Great for pups with sensitive stomachs

    By on

Very excited to finally have found a brand that agrees with our puppy! We'd tried everything from Blue Buffalo to Fromm to Whole Earth, everything gave her either diarrhea or loose stools. We figured out pretty quickly our 5-month-old had a grain sensitivity, anything with grains gave her diarrhea. But even the fancier grain-free foods didn't completely fix the problem. Decided to test this one out with a 5 lb bag, within a day of switching (and by "switching" I mean slowly mixing in more and more of the TOTW at each meal time) her poops improved. We even had an official, normal-looking poop within 24 hours of introducing TOTW. Will definitely be purchasing again and would highly recommend to Very excited to finally have found a brand that agrees with our puppy! • Perfect for Sensitive Stomachs!

    By on

My 4 1/2 month old golden retriever had soft stools since the day we brought him home. We tried everything, from Eukanuba, to Purina, to two different types of Blue (including one grain free version), and he still had very stinky gas and runny stools. After research and reading reviews online, I decided to switch him to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Puppy Formula, and I haven't looked back! Sky's poops are now consistent and solid, and no more stinky farts! His coat his soft and shiny and he has boundless energy as well. He was a bit unsure of the taste at first, but now he gobbles up his food with no problem. Would definitely recommend if your pup has a sensitive stomach.

  • Helped my puppy to 'firm up'

    By on

My Doberman puppy had loose 'cow pies' from the time I got her. Even though I dewormed her, took her to the vet, and selected very high grade foods (including TOW other formulas), I could not get her regulated. The vet at Taste of the Wild responded to my email immediately and told me that some dogs can't digest a variety of protein sources - so he recommended TOW Pacific Stream, which is based solely on fish. It took a couple of weeks to slowly move her over, but now Raven makes nice 'Lincoln logs' and is very healthy - everyone comments on her shiny coat and muscles! I also moved my 11 year old German Shepherd over to it with great results.

  • Loves to eat

    By on

I got Libby at 7 weeks old and I started out feeding nutro puppy chicken and rice but she didn't seem to like it much. I asked a friend and started on diamond naturals but she didn't eat it well either. I did some research and decided to go with taste of the wild. Libby LOVES it she licks her bowl clean everyone! She's had some skin issues also and now her coat is really healthy and shiny!! She's a happy and healthy golden retriever puppy now!

  • Pit puppy food

    By on

I found this particular mix ranked very well for pit puppies. My pit mix puppy has loved it! He runs to his kennel as soon as I open the storage container. We haven't had him but for only a few weeks, but the food has done a nice job keeping his potty sessions predictable and consistent. I would highly recommend it to anyone else who has a pit puppy.

  • Perfect for dogs with stomach issues

    By on

When we first got our pup she had lots of issues with digestion. We spoke with the vet and tried changing her food a couple of times, as well as tried using the "bland" diet. While that helped some, she still had issues. After a lot of research and reading reviews, we decided to try Taste of The Wild. It's safe to say we'll never be changing to another brand of food again. She has since no longer had any stomach problems (aside from eating mud...), and the quality of the food & packaging is superb. This is a fish based kibble as the name "Pacific Stream" implies, just as a FYI. The kibble is smaller in size, so we did have to get a slow feed bowl to accommodate her fast eating style. • Totally New Dogs

I switched* my 8 month-old German Shepherd Dog and 4 year-old Sheltie to this and WOW! It's had a HUGE impact on both of them. #1 SKIN: The shepherd used to have itchy, flaky skin with little bald patches where he had chewed too much. He stopped scratching after just a week, and after a month his coat is shiny and skin completely healed! #2 DIGESTION: Both pups used used to have loose stools. The shepherd's stomach was easily upset, he pooped 4 times a day, and often had diarehea. They both now has perfect, much smaller poops. The shepherd pup only needs to go twice a day and rarely has days of upset stomach or diarrhea. 3# ENGERY: The sheltie has never gotten very excited about food before I switched* my 8 month-old German Shepherd Dog and 4 year-old Sheltie to this and WOW! I suspect he may have a chicken sensistivey or allergy. I also supplement his diet with salmon/fish oil and coconut oil (same as before switching). *The sheltie: He has tried different grain-free chicken, duck and lamb options over the years. This is definitely agreed with his digestion the most and he seems to like it the most of all the foods we've tried. … more
