These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

  • Dog likes it better than the High Prairie.

    By on

My 65-lb Standard Poodle---nearly 8.5 months-old now---likes this flavor better than the High Prairie stuff. With the latter, he became finicky and seemed to eschew eating his meals from time to time. Being a Standard Poodle though, he's never the type of dog to gulp his food voraciously, but rather, stays somewhat controlled, deliberate and relaxed about eating (so much so that, as with other "Spoos," we can just leave a whole day's worth of food out in his bowl, and he comes by from time to time and eats little-by-little throughout the day). But the point is that he likes this flavor better than the other puppy-food flavor; I'm looking forward to when he can transition to adult food, and My 65-lb Standard Poodle---nearly 8.5 months-old now---likes this flavor better than the High Prairie stuff. I switched to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Puppy formula going on 3 weeks ago as to amount to be fed to Emily. She loves it! At her 12 week vet visit she had gained over 6 lbs in 2 weeks. • Best food for my Border Collie mix puppy

    By on

After 2 months of testing several different foods from Petco, my puppy (border collie/red heeler mix) was just not eating her daily recommended servings of food. She seemed to like my roommate's dog's food, which is a grain-free salmon flavor. So I thought I should find some puppy food with a fish flavor, and to my surprise it's extremely hard to find! At least, it's difficult to find a fish flavored puppy food that is also grain-free. My puppy also seems to prefer a smaller kibble, which this has! So glad I could find this on Chewy, and in my opinion it's quite affordable as far as grain-free dog food goes. And the shipping was super fast, I wasn't expecting it in the mail so soon. I'm Hurley and I am a standard goldendoodle puppy and have had some tummy problems and loose stools. My mom bought Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Puppy Food and I can tell you I no longer have any problems...other than chewing on socks, but I'm working on that. My poops have firmed up and look exactly like those chocolate roll candies my mom says! Thanks TOTW for fixing my tummy problems.I'll keep working on the socks but I'm not promising anything. Mom also switched my picky goldendoodle sister over to the adult version and she loves it too! BTW mom also says...Chewy is the BEST. • Nice protein content, supplements included, grain- and chicken-free

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Having raised my last two pups on Orijen, I'm trying this and, halfway through the first bag, my 14 week-old sorta-large-breed Standard Poodle puppy (about 75# as an adult) is thriving on this food. Nice firm stools, no gas or stomach upset, grain and chicken free. He went from 14.6# to19# in 14 days, very fit and super active, of course. This chow is supporting good, healthy puppy growth. His teeth, coat and skin look great. I've found chicken in the diet results too often in allergy-like problems, and so avoid it. I do supplement liquid glucosamine to offset any inflammation from potato and tomato skins. • Puppies love it!

    By on

My aunt bred purebreds for years and she highly recommended this brand when we brought home 2 puppies. I have been using this brand, but another flavor, and my dogs seemed a little bored and so I switched to this flavor a few weeks ago. They got all excited when I opened the new bag and didn't seem to have any major reaction to switching the food flavor since it was still the same brand. I think I might continue to switch up the flavors every once in awhile to keep things exciting for them, but the brand is definitely great. We have nice shiny coats in this house!

  • Pacific Stream Puppy by Taste Of The Wild

    By on

It is hard to find a puppy food with fish and it is needed for a growing pup The oils, DHA and fish is brain food. We use the adult because one of my dogs is allergic to other proteins. This is a good quality food at a decent price. You can't beat Chewy's for bringing it to the door. It arrives within 2 days sometimes less. They are also very easy to reach by phone and talk to a real live person!!!!

  • Picky puppy LOVES it!

    By on

My 4-month-old Shiba Inu is a very picky eater; I recently had to switch him from his chicken-based food because of a suspected chicken allergy. It's really hard to find puppy food that isn't chicken based, but we gave this one a try. He absolutely LOVES it! Not only has it helped relieve his itching, this is the only food he will actually stand over his bowl and eat-- AND he eats all of his daily servings! I would absolutely recommend this product, and I will continue to buy it for Sawyer!

  • A Life-Saver For a Pup With a Parasite!

    By on Top 50 Contributor

Our Goldendoodle pup, Scarlet, had giardia from the start. She had constant loose stools, was constantly drowsy, and was as skinny as a twig. She was originally on Grandma Mae's, then a completely cooked, holistic diet, and neither helped her. In an act of desperation, we decided to try this brand. THANK GOODNESS WE DID! This dog food INSTANTLY firmed up her poop, and that was huge because she had never had a solid bowel movement in her entire life (crazy, right?!). She is finally gaining weight and has so much more energy than she ever has before. Better than all of that, her parasite is finally going away! This food was definitely a life-saver!

  • Great for my dog's sensitive stomach

    By on

My puppy was on another high quality grain free dog food, but was having digestive problems and showing signs of food allergies. My vet said he was probably allergic to the poultry in his current food. Based on the reviews (and after noticing that some of the other fish based foods still contained chicken and turkey) we gave this food a shot. He is a lot less gassy, and is no longer having loose poops.
