About Taste of the Wild Dog Food

The Diet Nature Intended

The Diet Nature Intended

Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

  • High Quality Food

My dogs LOVE at his food and so do I! I have a small chihuahua mix, a medium sized terrier mix, and a boxer. My boxer has SUPER bad food allergies to all chicken products and I was finding it increasingly difficult to find a good quality dog food with no chicken, chicken fat, chicken meal, or chicken product in the ingredients. My dogs also prefer lamb as the protein source. Previously my dogs were on Nutro Wholesome essentials lamb and rice and although it had chicken fat in the ingredients, it did not bother him until AFTER they changed their whole product look and ingredients. So after 3 months of research and trial and error I found this food. Let me start by saying my dogs go NUTS for this My dogs LOVE at his food and so do I! I have noticed a huge improvement in my boxers stool and skin and coat since changing to this food. Not to mention my other dogs skin and coat seems to be improving as well. … more

  • Dogs love it!

My order arrived on time as promised. I have a large country yard and let my dogs roam free. One of my dogs is very curious and would run off for a few hours and then return home. Since I've purchased this bag of dog food she doesn't leave the area by the porch! She hasn't run off for anything because she doesn't want to miss a meal!

  • not as good as the other flavors from this brand

    By on

My boyfriend and I have 3 shiba inu babies (they're actually turning 2, 4, and 5 next year). I usually get 2 different flavors from the same brand. I can't imagine eating the same thing everyday, so I wouldn't want to torture them if I'm not willing to do it myself. This is their least favorite flavor out of the ones we tried. I still have the full bag; it's just sitting there. They absolutely hate this one. I would recommend getting the buffalo/vension or the fowl instead.

  • Best Dry food

    By on

My little Sophie will not hardly eat dry food but this she will eat. She likes it. That's good enough for me. All the Taste of The Wild food she loves and her long coat stays in beautiful condition on it. She maintains a healthy weight and is doing well with her allergies also. I love this brand. My Vet tells me it's the protein in Chicken and chicken by products that cause lots of allergies in dogs so I feed her the wild salmon, buffalo, lamb etc.

I have 3 dogs who were raised on Pedigree food. My puggle developed a sensitivity and could not eat it any longer. After much research, I switched only him to this food. Recently I weaned the other two off the Pedigree and on to this. They love it and don't eat neatly as much, as they don't to. I highly recommend it.

  • Great food for sensitive stomach.

    By on

We started giving our 11 year old ShihTzu this brand of food after speaking with an organic pet food store owner. Our pup has always had a sensitive stomach and vomited somewhat frequently. He has not had any issues with this brand (salmon or lamb) and we never looked back. It has been a blessing for him and us:)

  • Finally maybe a replacement for Fromm

    By on

I have given away so many dog foods I have lost count. The shelter dogs are eating well! My 17 mo old Great Pyrenees is quite picky and quite sensitive, and...being a giant breed, must have the correct mineral component. He loves the TOTW and as long as he thrives, we will reorder.

  • Best healthy dog food out there!

    By on

When I couldn't get Taste of the Wild any more from my vet, I was worried about what to do. My grandpuppies were being fed less healthy food, and I decided to try Taste of the Wild. They absolutely loved it, right away, and there was no transition period or tummy problems from the change. I absolutely love this food!! So glad I can get Taste of the Wild online!

  • TOTW lamb and sweet potato

    By on

Our 14month GS transitioned to a this very easily and is excited to eat each meal, he used to leave the old food for hours. Was sensitive to anything with poultry and inconsistent with grained foods. He does very well with this food, recommended if you dog is sensitive this way.

  • Only one food now!

    By on

My 10yr old female chessie has had digestive issues most of her life. After about 7 years of trying different types of food we found this food at the local feed store. Now she has very little trouble with her digestive tract. My vet feels that the lack of grain and a protein not normally used in dog food. Then we found chewy, it's always in stock, you decide when they ship and you can change your other mind as often as you need to. Never a better animal supply website, price and selection.
