Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

  • Pup LOVES this food!

    By on

Our pup was -never- a big eater. He'd always eat about 1/3 or 1/2 of what we gave him and he'd just leave the rest in his bowl. He maintained a healthy weight but he never got excited about eating or showed much interest in food. After switching from a chicken based food to a vet approved food (for allergy testing), we were kind of accepting the fact that he just didn't like to eat. After we finished the protein diet, we read reviews for this food and purchased a smaller bag (15lb). I swear this is the first time I've seen him interested in eating!! He LOVES this food! He has had zero allergic reaction to it and absolutely loves it, finishes his bowl each time and whines for more if he's Our pup was -never- a big eater. • Great food...

    By on

LoLo is a picky eater, but loves her Taste of the Wild - both the Sierra Mountain and the Pacific Stream. These are the only flavors she's tried so far and I feel she's getting a balanced, nutritional diet that her stomach tolerates very well. They also offer three different bag sizes so you can get just the right amount. Chewy.com is a great place to get it. Their delivery is prompt, their website is easy to use, placing orders is very easy, their free shipping over $49 is very helpful, especially when buying dog food and other large/heavy items that would typically drive the shipping price up, customer service is very helpful and they treat their customers very well.

  • AMAZING FOOD

    By on

Switching to this food has really made a difference, his coat is healthier, he is at a perfect weight, and his overall happiness is just great! He loves every flavor of taste of the wild. With our old food, we would always have to mix in wet dog food so he would eat it because it wasnt enough flavor in the dry food itself, but not with taste the wild. He gobbles this down every meal with nothing mixed in.

  • Great food for my dogs, they do well on it

    By on

I was feeding my dogs a higher priced/higher quality food & it did not agree with my dogs. Even after making the switch slowly they had runny stools & lots of gas. So I switched back to Taste of the Wild & the problem has corrected itself. I won't be switching again. Confident with this brand because there have been no major recalls that I am aware of.

  • Dog-daughter approved

    By on

Dog-daughter loves Taste of the Wild. The dry food is interchangeable, so on every order, I get a different flavor. She likes all of them, and I don't have to worry about weird reactions to 'changing' her food. I also tend to use her food for low-value treats. We love this brand.

  • Fixed soft stools and stinky glands

We brought our little beagle home with recommendations from the breeder to keep him on Purina Pro Plan Sport. At 6 months old his poo was only right if we gave him a break to chicken and rice or after 3-4 days of pumpkin added to his lunch. He has been on Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain for like 3 days and his poos are perfect.. thats the weirdest thing I've ever said.. but seriously. On the Purina the first part of his poo would be firm then soft and a little runny at the very end. We had a full health screening done and he was good to go. This switch is exactly what he needed, its even helped stop his back door glands from filling up now that he has nice formed poos. • Quick delivery and cheaper prices!

    By on

We've been feeding our pup ToTW since we got her, as grains to sit well with her. With the auto-ship discount Chewy's prices were $10 less than what we normally pay locally. The food showed up a day earlier than what was estimated. The only thing I would like to see different it to be able to order different "flavors" of the food on auto ship without having to create my own rotation. We change up the protein to keep our pup interested.

  • Great food!

This is the third food we have tried since we got our min pin/chihuahua mix when he was 5 months old. His hair had a lot of dander and he had issues with diarrhea. We switched to a sensitive stomach brand and it got better but he would still poop half solid/half diarrhea intermittently, especially after daycare days. He started eating rocks at daycare and I'm convinced it was because he wasn't getting the nutrients from his food and his stomach would get upset. I started researching and decided to try Taste of the Wild grain free as the reviews are great. Within the first week of switching him over we have already seen an immediate and lasting (good) change in his poop, it's the perfect consistency This is the third food we have tried since we got our min pin/chihuahua mix when he was 5 months old. My 4 yr old Heeler/Lab-Pit mix loves this food. She's always been kind of a picky eater and I tried several different brands of food before settling on this one. We found that she had some bad reactions to certain ingredients/mixtures (allergic, digestive, bowel,) but not this one. Taste of the Wild is FANTASTIC. Love the all natural, limited ingriedents - no junk! And, we can switch within the brand to different proteins, no problem. Favorites are the Pacific Stream, Sierra Mountain and High Prairie.
