Transition Instructions

When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7-10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Grain-Free Dry Dog Food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 598.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality dog food, at a decent price I have been feeding this food to my senior English setter, senior Jack Russell terrier, and middle aged beagle-Jack Russell mix, and all are in great health, have lots of energy, and really enjoy this food. Although I have tried MANY brands of dog food over the years, I have had the best results, overall, with Taste of the Wild. While my dogs are active for their ages, they are not at an age or stage where they need the higher protein or fat content of some other TOTW formulas. But they DO need grain free food, since 2 of the 3 have trouble digesting foods with lots of grain. And since 1 dog is also sensitive to chicken, all chicken-based foods are out. So, this lamb-based food is great for all 3. Some of the other quality, grain-free foods are way beyond my budget. But TOTW Sierra Mountain is very good quality at a more affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best! My Sadie girl has a ton of food allergies. For almost two years we tried one type of dog food after another with nothing but terrible reactions. From the very first week of using taste of the wild we knew it was amazing stuff. No more allergic reactions, no more dry skin, and no more rough course hair. Taste of the wild has had such an amazing impact on her life. Thanks to everyone in the taste of the wild family, we have a healthy, happy girl!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Results - No gas! I bought Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Roasted Lamb dog food because it has better ingredients, no grain and lists meat as the first and primary ingredient. My dogs were having problems with gas and their coats looked kind of dull even though I was feeding them a quality dog food. After switching to TOW, with very little easing them into it, I immediately noticed by dogs did not have a problem with gas. Within a few days, their coats were shining like they had been oiled! They have a ton of energy and love eating the food! I ran out for a little while and had to use Diamond Lamb and Rice. OMG! Gas, gas, gas! Almost had to buy a gas mask until my TOW came again! I kept my outside dogs on my old dog food. No comparison! Their coats are not nearly as shiny and they don't eat the food as well. I'm now mixing TOW in with their old food and will soon have all 6 of my dogs on the food. It is definitely worth the extra money I pay just to see the difference this food makes in my dogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love is food and more over - the service from Chewy Love your service - love your products - just please cut back on the emails. The frequency of them makes them go to the trash and not even be read. I like you so much, I don't want this to happen. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Dogs Love It I used a great dog food before, but my dogs got tired of it. I tried Taste of the Wild per another friend's suggestion. She gave me a small bag and my dogs LOVED it. Not only did they love it, they put on some much needed weight and they maintained it! They are a very healthy, strong weight and, if they get bored, I have some great flavors to choose from. I typically don't go for high protein foods since my breed of dog is sensetive to high protein foods. Not the case. I decided to purchase this food and have it shipped regularly since we've seen such great results!
