I ordered a large in two different dog boots. The other boot was incredibly small for a large dog. This one was more like an extra large rather than the large I ordered. I bought them for my 13 1/2 y.o. Bernese Mountain dog. I was hoping to give her traction on hard surfaces. Instead I got something that was going to add to her slipping and falling. Ridiculous
Was very hopeful

Was purchasing for an elder dog for harwood floors who also has had years of allergies where she would gnaw away at them. The idea was attractive and we were hopeful that they would be beneficial. However, some thoughts for the manufacturer would be that they sit higher up the leg to perhaps over their "knee" since we have experienced them eventually falling off or flipping from the grip side to the material side. Also, maybe making them grip side on both sides in case that they do flip around. Another thought would be to have them in more colors to perhaps more closely match the color of dogs. In this instance, she is a yellow lab with black booties. Sticks out. These were very easy to get on. I was happy with Velcro closure and I wish I could give a 5 star but the boots did fall off with first use on 1-2 mile trail. We reapplied and ended with boots on and clean well protected feet. I wish there was a way to keep them from falling off. We tried snugger it helped a little. It is the right size so different size would not be helpful.
Won't stay on
on Oct 2, 2017
The boots would work fine for my older dog who has weakness in his spine and hind legs IF they would stay on. I know they are the right size because they do go on, but will not stay on if Grayson walks or even moves around just a bit. If they were any smaller they would not fit. If they were larger they would not stay on at all. Very frustrating as I thought this would be the solution to his slipping around and falling.
Ultra Paw boots Large

I bought these for my Lab who has a degenerative spine disease. He was sliding on our floors badly and laying carpets through out the house only tripped him up. He now can walk without sliding and has his confidence back. They stay on his feet really well and I can throw them in the washer when they need to be washed. Since he only needed something for his back feet I have 2 pairs. You get 4 boots in each pack.
Wont last flimsy made

Maybe it was just my pair but by the 3rd day my pup had worn a whole in them. And my pup is 11 years old and not active very short and slow walks to the park and back. They also didnt stay in place but they stayed on

Definitely run large and we ordered down a size. While our elderly dog did not mind wearing these and they initially worked well, they did not stay in place and spun around. Defeated the purpose of no skid when he ended up walking on the fleece side. Sadly we are disappointed
My Golden is like a new dog!

I have tried several traction socks and shoes to help my senior dog keep from falling on hardwoods and laminate. These shoes do the trick. Dillon is like a new dog.
Best on the market

I love this product and have ordered 4 times. My only recommendation is that they beef up the stitching or adhesive to the anti-skid pads. They begin to separate from the socks within days of wear. At this price, I don't consider them disposable, I want them to last for months and withstand frequent washing. I air dry them. Otherwise, great solution for large dogs on hardwood floors. I haven't found anything easier to use.

I purchased these for my dog who is now living with my daughter and her family. They have concrete floors and he is a golden retriever who is aging and was having a hard time on the slippery flooring. They seem to be working okay but they do have a tendency to turn around on his feet to where the traction is not on the bottom of his feet. All in all they fit great and I'm sure he has something to do with them rotating. :0
