I've had this item for about 2 months now. Bentley uses it to pee, but not poop. Sometimes he misses it and/or goes near it, but overall, I like it. I wash it in the tub by using Lysol cleaning spray and a small scrubbing brush on the underside. I let it air dry during the day while he's in the crate before. It still has a slight urine smell afterward, but I guess that's good so he'll know to keep using it. By the way, Bentley is about 5 months old and a chihuahua mix weighing 4.5-7.5 pounds during these 2 months of usage. I give him a treat every time that I see him using it to encourage him to keep doing so.

We have a yellow lab and started using these from day 1 (he was 10 weeks old at the time). He's now 2.5 years old weighing 90 lbs and still uses these. We put turf in our backyard as I wanted to avoid the smell of dog waste and the brown grass spots and even to this day, he won't go on the turf we put in..he looks for this. As a pup, they like to chew on the black tray but that to me is a pup being a pup and possibly teething or simply bored. He out grew that thankfully. We have one out in our backyard patio area and that is where he goes both #1 & #2. When we're inside the house, there's one in the garage, and as long as we give him access to get to garage area, he does his business thereWe have a yellow lab and started using these from day 1 (he was 10 weeks old at the time). We spent a lot of time and giving him praises as a pup when we were potty training so this is a big factor in how he is today which means less work for us and certainly less mess to contain as we simply wash the mat and tray daily to keep it from smelling and also keep it clean for him. I would recommend getting a replacement mat so if you go a few days without cleaning it or simply like to rotate it out each day (we do that to allow it to truly "breath"), you're good to go.… more

OK.....so I deviated from it's recommended use. My small dog prefers this over any small rug when she goes outside to enjoy her space on the concrete patio. She is already housebroken but missed the feeling of grass when we return from walks.
Absolutely LOVE it!

I put puppy pads between the grass mat and the bottom tray. Super easy to clean! My Frenchie pups are only 4 weeks old and already go 100% on this and NOWHERE else! Definitely recommend!! Great buy!
Wee Wee Patch Indoor Potty

I think I could have gone to Lowes, Home Depot or Sutherlands bought a 12X3' section of fake grass, cut it to carpet my walk-in shower, sprinkled a few urine drops on it to entice my 10 year old Boxer to potty there because she is loosing her back legs. I wanted to retrain her before she looses all control of her back legs and still expects to go outside in the winter to potty in the ice and snow!

This product does not live up to the hype. It is a poor quality plastic tray with a piece of Astro turf on it. Not what I expected at all.

At first my dog didn't know what to do with the patch, then she got comfortable with it and started to urinate on it. She still hasn't defecated on it, but I amhappy that she is learning to use it. The great part is that she is over 12 yrs old.

Needed a relief area in lieu of carrying her up and down stairs. Perfect size and delivery time could not have been better. However, she would not consider using it. I found the tray to be rather flimsy. Would definitely recommend pee pads instead of emptying tray. Emptying spout is just lip of tray.
I have not it used as yet

Lucy is 14 years old is incontinent. She is used to going outdoors and so far has refused to use pee pad and the wee wee patch. She has no difficulty peeing on the floor in front of the door tho. Lol. Hard to change habits when so old. I will keep trying.

Should I use a pad under the grass. When I move it , it spills. The cat loves it but I bought it for the dog, who goes every where. How do I get her to use it ???
