It's a pate not a stew...
Our GSD likes it best mixed w his kibble.. He's not a fan of it straight from the can...
As all the Wellness products, the smell is quite good... (of course by human standards)

Rated 3 out of 5 by ManyPointyEars My picky German Shepherd doesn't like it
I think this would be fine product for a less picky eater but my German Shepherd girl dog is underwhelmed by this one. I suspect it's the pork liver component, only because she will eat the turkey/chicken liver/chicken variety. In general, Wellness products are great. And on the positive side, the cats will eat a little of this one but not a lot of it.

My dog's stomach is very sensitive and she wolfed it, but it didn't agree with her, so I can't get it for her again. It appears to be great canned food though.

My 6 month old puppy likes this a lot. It is very moist and smell good. I feed her the Wellness Core Wild Game and alternate with this product and boiled chicken. She does have some allergies, and the Wellness Core seems to be agreeing with her.

You have two choices; quality food or vet bills. After years of feeding our pets what we thought was top of the line dog food, we switches to grain free wellness CORE. The change in our dogs within two months (coat, activity level, and overall health) was amazing - at the time we had middle aged Scotties. We'd rather pay for a quality dog food than (literally) thousands in vet bills. We've not had another food related issue in over 5 years (since switching to Wellness). We switch between the various flavors - but stay with CORE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dholloway My dog has severe allergies and this product helps him tremendously.
Recommend by our vet. Works wonders for him. He is more muscular and coat has grown back after a severe fungal infection that made him loose all his fur . Coat is shiny. The extra protein in the food has helped him. His breed is Rhodesian Ridgeback and they are in need of high protein good food. Wellness works for him.

I must have the pickiest dog on the planet because I had read all the wonderful reviews and was excited about ordering this food for my Peke, Cindy. It smelled wonderful and I had no doubts that he would gobble it up. Well, once again I was wrong! I didn't want to give this food a bad rating, and if it was up to me I would give it 5 stars but I'm not the one eating it! She seems to only like very wet canned food, and this is on the dry side. My poor girl was neglected as a breeding dog in a horrible puppy mill and needed to have all but 2 teeth removed, and her jaw was also broken so she has to be fed a rather "mooshy" food

I just adopted Penny two months ago and she was very underweight. I struggled for a week or two to find something she would eat. She liked Cesar Gourmet Filets but the cans were too small and expensive. A chat with a chewy rep led me to Wellness. I mixed it with Cesar filets at first and she picked out the Cesar. But the 2nd day, she was eating Wellness heartily and continues to do so. I wish it were chunkier, but Penny doesn't seem to mind the loaf. She's a rescued Benji/Whippet type mix: high energy and fast.
