Our dogs both suffered the effects of not so good dog food. One of the dogs suffered for 5 years with diarreaha and vomiting on a weekly basis. The other dog was getting itchy and smelling pretty bad and lacked energy. We put both dogs on the canned Simple Lamb and Oatmeal but did not change the dry food. Both dogs continued to have problems and were just sick. Finally we made the decision in spite of the cost to change both dogs to the canned and dry Lamb and Oatmeal. We should have done it years ago! Charlie the one that had diarreaha and vomiting has not had one episode in over three months. Their fur is softer and has lost the greasy feel to it. I researched for so long and made so many changes in their food over the years that I had almost given up and figured we would just live with a sick dog that we couldnt help. Even our vet couldnt tell us what to do. I think of all the poor dogs that are sick like ours and the answer is so SIMPLE!!Wellness Lamb and Oatmeal is it!

I have tried many high quality food brands in the past and this one is by far the best I've found. My husky is super sensitive to everything and have spent count less hours dealing with the aftermath of food that does not agree with him. The best part is that the food smells decent so he will eat the food with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wilberforce Limited Ingredients for Gassy Dog
We adopted a shelter dog and spent $2700.00 trying to figure out why he was unable to hold down his food and had terrible gas. Finally, I asked if it could be he was allergic to poultry. Sure enough, that was the problem.
We actually had him on Blue Buffalo Lamb for several years. Suddenly, the gas was back...and with a vengeance! He also had loose stools. We thought it was the new treats, but no. Finally, when ordering his food from Chewy, I checked the ingredients on the Blue Buffalo bag. Unfortunately, I found the 2nd ingredient was now Turkey Meal. Eureka!! Now we knew the issue, but we needed to find a solution and quick.
We checked with our vet and the 2 foods he offered for poultry allergies were hideously expensive. I went back to Chewy and found Wellness, Simple. Gillespie loves it. We love it because the gas is gone and his stools are firmer. (Gross, I know.)
I highly recommend you try Simple if your dog has difficulty digesting poultry. You still have to watch the treats and table snacks, but in our case, we were able to retire the gas masks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Doggiemama77 Tastyy, healthy sog food for not for dogs with skin problems
My dogs loved this food but they have terrible skin allergies. I love this brand too and I'm disappointed I can't use it. Although peas are very high in protein, they are a common source of food allergies in dogs. Since it seems this brand uses peas in every recipe, I can no longer purchase it. It makes little sense to market a product with linites ingredients to help allergy sufferes and then consistently use a know allergin in every single food. The search continues!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lawasian Non-allergen alternative to Blue Buffalo
I used to be a huge fan of blue buffalo, until their chicken products got my dog massive allergies (itchiness, vomiting, sneezing). As a result, I switched to Wellness because everything in blue buffalo has some form of chicken, like chicken meal, etc. I did not give 5 stars because this product is expensive for something that has limited ingredients?

by mustlovewesties Good Ingredients
My westie has just started on this flavor of wellness limited ingredient food. He seems to like it better than the turkey/potatoe. He has had issues with gurgling stomach at 3am. He did well on both flavors that we tried but we also started feeding an extra small meal before bed which has also helped. We also buy the soft food of the same flavor. I only wish wellness would make the kibble smaller. I add a little water to make it easier to eat for a 18lb dog.

I have 3 dogs - each with their own problems. Transitioned all 3 to Wellness Simple Limited Ingredient Lamb and saw amazing results.
My Aussie, Mylee, has been a hard-working ranch dog all her life. She's almost 18 years old and is now semi-retired. While is thankfully healthy, her skin was dry, her coat was dull, her hair grows in sparsely after being cut for the summer, and she slept most of the day. She also coughed a lot. I switched her to this food and she is alert, has more energy, her hair and coat are healthy, she doesn't cough anymore - and, an unexpected side benefit, the clouds in her eyes are gone and she can see again!
My feral-born sibling pups are now 4 years old. They'd always been overly-high-energy and anxious (even though they were on Grand Tranquility), they were always itchy, the male got hot spots, and their stomachs were sensitive (even though they were also on prebiotics and probiotics). I switched them to this food and, after the first week, I discontinued the Grand Tranquility and prebiotics and probiotics. Their stomachs and digestion are great, they're not itchy, their coats are shiny, they are calm but still have loads of energy, and no more hot spots!
I'm a believer!
