Transition Instructions

It is important to slowly transition your dog from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness Simple each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness Simple by day 7. This food is formulated for adult, non-reproducing dogs over one year old as puppies and pregnant or nursing mothers have special nutritional requirements.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 167 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by It seems to keep him from itching as much I wanted a good source of protein and not fillers for my dog as he tends to itch like crazy. So far, and it has been only a few weeks, it seems that it has made a difference. He got to like the other food I had given him and it is taking awhile for him to get used to the Wellness product. Of course, he likes it better when I add some canned food or food scrapes to it, even if it is a small amount. Can't blame him for wanting some variety. January 19, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by An Immediate Difference! Immediately after beginning feeding our dog Simple Grain Free Salmon & Potato formula, we saw a noticeable difference for him with his itchy skin. We had recently tried AvoDerm Natural Chicken Meal and Brown Rice Formula and it was a total disaster. With the AvoDerm he had more irritation around his mouth & more constantly itchy skin than we've ever seen in any food we've tried for him. This Simple food is a little pricey, but what a relief to find a food that truly makes a difference & helps with his sensitivities. He's worth every penny! January 14, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Small Bits for Smaller Dogs My dog is apparently allergic to chicken and certain grains. We have used this Simple formula by Wellness for a year. Her itching is so much better and her skin appearance is greatly approved. January 14, 2017
Rated 4 out of 5 by Switched due to food allergy....very good so far! Our seven month old English chocolate lab started to develop rashes on his belly. His vet informed us that it would be a good idea to switch from his Purina chicken based food to a fish based product. He immediately took to it as I gradually mixed it into his old food. After about a week and a half his rash was completely gone. I also notice his stool looks much "healthier" and not as moist as it used to look. He always finishes what I put in his bowl so he's taken pretty well to it. I would normally give this food five stars but he's been on this product for a month only. I'll definitely write an update in another few months. His coat looks great as well. A HUGE plus is that this EXACT product sells for $67 at Petsmart a few minutes away, so we basically order with a few days overlap and save about $17 or so per bag. Not bad at all. November 14, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good quality, but dog hates it I love this brand and my dogs have loved all other flavours, but my lab who will normally eat anything just spits this out. January 4, 2017
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a favorite I have one Westie that will eat anything you put in front of him happily. The other one is more particular. I was trying to change the picky one over from Wellness Simple Lamb/Oatmeal hard food to the Salmon/Potato. He was picking these kibbles out of the bowl and spitting them onto the floor. I guess I'll have to feed it to the gobble gut and go back to the Lamb/Oatmeat. The Lamb/Oatmeal has been very good for his digestive issues. The Salmon/Pototo is harder and hard for him to chew, which is maybe why he doesn't like it as much. December 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome food! My dog has a very sensitive stomach as he had giardia as a puppy. As such it's very difficult to find him food and he often starts to grow sick from foods. I've used this brand for awhile and not had any problems as well as finding that he really enjoys eating it! Love this high quality food! December 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Food for my Senior Dog I changed my mixed breed senior dog to this food when I noticed he was having digestive issues with his other grain free food. I read a lot about dogs having poultry allergies so I was looking for a grain free and majority poultry free food. This food has cleared up all his issues and gives him a soft and shiny coat.
