To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5 - 7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness Simple each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness Simple by day 7. This food is formulated for adult, non-reproducing dogs over one year old as puppies and pregnant or nursing mothers have special nutritional requirements.

  • Wellness - It's Simple

Wellness, Simple, Salmon & Potato flavor, has cured my dogs, "River", food allergies. 4 vet visits in 3 months and he still had horrible allergy symptoms; chewing on his feet, licking constantly & a terrible rash in his ears and on his face. Since feeding the Wellness, Simple, all symptoms are gone!!! I highly recommend this product. Thank you Wellness!!

My dogs have been having problems for years with diarrhea. I have taken them to the vet several times but never did they recommend a different food. Finally I did a bit of research and found this food. It has worked miracles. In addition, the guys love it.

My dogs have so many allergies and digestion problems so I have to be careful what I feed them. They're also picky and will stop eating so I have to change it up. They love this dog food and they didn't suffer after eating. Thank you!!

  • Pup with allergies

One of my dogs is constantly scratching and has eye drainage from allergies. We do not like to medicate constantly and specialty shampoo wasn't helping very much. Since we have switched to this food almost all the itching has stopped and no more eye drainage. I am extremely satisfied with this food.

  • Great food!

Recently as I was changing my dog to another food - my vet said we needed to rule out allergies to certain proteins after my dog kept getting these ear infections -- so since she had always had Wellness canned with her previous food I decided to try this salmon limited ingredient one -- (my vet asked that her diet be salmon and cautioned me as to many that say they are all-salmon but also have poultry products in them) -- This food so far has been wonderful - I was concerned that being in the middle of a change of food and then changing again would be problematic but it was a breeze and no tummy upset at all -- I would also buy their canned version but it's whitefish based rather than salmon Recently as I was changing my dog to another food - my vet said we needed to rule out allergies to certain proteins after my dog kept getting these ear infections -- so since she had always had Wellness canned with her previous food I decided to try this salmon limited ingredient one -- (my vet asked that her diet be salmon and cautioned me as to many that say they are all-salmon but also have poultry products in them) -- This food so far has been wonderful - I was concerned that being in the middle of a change of food and then changing again would be problematic but it was a breeze and no tummy upset at all -- I would also buy their canned version but it's whitefish based rather than salmon -- anyway, I would highly recommend this food. • Wellness food

Since your company discontinued Pure Vita Salmon which my dog had been eating for over 5 years, I thought I'd try Wellness Salmon since the ingredients seemed to be the same. However the kibble size are larger & Harley doesn't seem to like it. He sniffs his bowl and walks away. It's been 3 days now , I have to mix his food with people food to get him to eat & yet he doesn't finish all his food like he did with Pure Vita. I'll give him a week or so to get used to the change in his food. Although I appreciate you discounting the Wellness food, I. Not sure it's worth it if he doesn't like it. Delivery was quick & simple & so far love Chewy.

  • Drake likes it.

    By on

I gave it a 4 only because Drake has only been on it a week so he hasn't lost weight yet. But he likes it. I know the weight management works because Drake was on it and didn't gain weight. I thought it was diet. Duh on me. It was so he didn't gain any weight which did work. I am trying it just on the fact that the other one worked and it is also Wellness.

  • Great for allergies - dogs like it

I have one dog who can only eat salmon based grain-free kibble. I've slowly been working my way through the various limited offer of salmon kibbles that did not contain some sort of chicken or egg, no grain, and did not cost a fortune. I finally came across Wellness SImple. I was reluctant to try it, since it really has limited ingredients. I did not think the dogs would like it. But they DO! This is small kibble, which I have to use for my little AmStaffy, who tends to choke on foods. She usually eats, then throws up all of her food (we have tile throughout the house because of her) and ingests it again (sorry for the drastic picture). With this kibble, she has not regurgitated everything. I have one dog who can only eat salmon based grain-free kibble. My Aussie, who has horrible allergies and has lived most his summers chewing on himself, despite benadryl and medicinal baths, is much more restful. He still chews a bit right after after eating, but it's not the prolonged manic chewing he done in the past. The others eat anything without hesitation or repercussions, so they are not a consideration for my choice of dog foods. The poops produced on this food are a bit larger than I am used to. I had to check if they looked like the poops of dogs that eat hay-based kibble, but the poops have good consistency, and seem to be larger because of the potatoes. All in all, I will stick with this, until it's time to switch. I rotate my dogs' food every few months, so their liver and kidney get a 'reboot' and are not bombarded with the same junk all the time. … more

  • Love chewy!

I switched my pup to this food several months ago and it has seemed to help with his sensitive stomach issues. Chewy is the best, I have found it's regularly about 10 dollars cheaper a bag than your pet store chains! And their quick shipping times are great!

  • Defective batch

    By on

Am having issues with recent batch dated 18 FEB 20. There is something wrong with it. They have re shipped me different cases, but all with this date is mushy to the point of running ( I can almost pour it out of can). I'm concerned about the quality as one of my pets is diabetic and on a very strict diet. Neither of my pets want to eat it. Every other date appears to be fine.
