Rated 3 out of 5 by I like the food, my cat does not. I have been feeding a well known grain free brand to my kitten but now that he is almost a year I really wanted to switch him to a diet more designed for the carnivore he is. He's not much of a picky eater, not a fan of red meat but loves all thing poultry/bird or salmon. When I introduced the Wysong he took one sniff, one lick then turned and walked away without even taking one bite. I've had to mix it with much more wet food than usual and even then he will pick around the kibble to get every bit of wet food and then even lick the wet off the kibble bits. This has resulted in much looser stool with a much stronger smell. My poor guy has even lost a bit a weight from his refusal to eat. I was really wanting him to love this food as much as I love the idea of how healthy it can be for him. I have broken down and bought a bad of his old food again because I am worried about any more weight loss. Perhaps I'll try a sample bag of a different Wysong product and see if I have better results. Yes I would still recommend this food to a friend but would urge them to try sample sizes first. Rated 5 out of 5 by So Affordable, and Healthy! I work at an animal shelter, and I admit it, I'm kind of a cat food snob. I'll also admit that by feeding them natural food, my cats eat healthier than I do most of the time. I've always been a proponent of natural cat foods, but Wysong Epigen is my favorite. When I order, I buy two 8 lb bags and a bag of treats or a toy and I get free shipping. Each bag lasts me approximately 1.5-2 months per 3 cats who get measured amounts of food morning and night. People who buy low quality cat food at the grocery store say natural food is too expensive. Are you kidding? Not with Wysong! I pay less than a bag of *major cat food brands* food costs, and because I measure their food, it lasts and lasts, unlike many people who constantly keep their cat's bowl full. Keeping it in an air-tight storage container helps with freshness! I recommend this product to everyone, but I have yet to meet anyone else who feeds Wysong to their pets. February 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not seem to give cats necessary nutrition Got this food for my 4 cats and 2 small dogs. Everyone seemed to be ok on it at first. Everyone's fur looked good, and no one seemed to be avoiding the food. After about a month or so, the cats seemed to become more and more food obsessed. One of my newer cats started to steal food from my kids, rip open groceries, constantly steal food from the counters, etc. The cats became hostile to each other, and eventually all the cats began to jump on counters for food when they never have before. While at first I noticed they seemed to slim down alittle, the older two cats started to get boney. I switched food immediately, and after a couple of weeks, everyone is a much healthier weight, food stealing is dramatically down, and there are a lot less cat fights. The cats could've eaten as much of this as they wanted, yet they still acted like they were starving, and it seems that they might've started to. Possible the starch free design makes it so the cats have problems storing fat? The dogs seemed to do ok on this, but I still don't feel comfortable using this food, after seeing how the cats fared on it. April 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Food, But Read Review My belgian malinois is highly allergic to grains. I purchased this food because it was slightly less expensive than typical special diets for my dog, being that he's sixty pounds and eats like a horse! I used to feed him Honest Kitchen grain free, but his vet was concerned because he kept losing weight, no matter how much he ate. This food is good because you can feed less (probably due to the high protein content). However, when I switched my dog to it, he had SEVERE diarrhea for about ten days. Even now, his stool is still mushy. However, the itchiness he was experiencing has calmed down, and he loves this food. I am sticking with it for another week or so with the hope that his stool will regulate. He is putting on weight as well. February 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by wysong Epigen dry This is a superior food that I feed my cats along with wet foods. Hard to find, but Chewy has it and at a reasonable price. Thank you for fast shipment... June 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Horribly stinky poo with cats I foster cats and always have around nine or so of varying ages. I have one cat who has an intolerance to grains so I was really excited when I found this product at a reasonable price that I could use for all the cats. At first I loved the product. The cats enjoy it and seem to be more energetic and their coats look great! After a month of slowly switching them I ran into a problem. when they use the liter box it smells awful! It makes the whole house smell when they go and also they have a greater quantity of stool then they ever did before. Because of this I am working on switching to another brand. I even switched mt two small dogs to this and noticed the same issue with them which is a problem since they are liter boxed trained. It is a great prouct though if you can live with the stinky poo but with as many animals as I have, it just doesn't work. August 6, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Recipe for a Ridiculously Great Price Meat, protein, starch-less and transparency of ingredients with an incredibly low price point (much cheaper than that "top-of-the-line" dog food that's full of empty nutrition); what more could you ask for? Fast shipping? Done. As people we pay attention to the serving size printed on our food however I don't think that pet owners really think about the serving size variances amongst dog food. Out old Iams was 2 cups a day and with Wysong it's 1.5 cups. Why? Because it's loaded with the good stuff. I'm a cutomer for life. February 3, 2016
