Rated 5 out of 5 by My Boxer loves Zignature I have tried many different dry dog foods and my female boxer would either turn her nose or break out in a rash on her tummy. We couldn't figure out what in the heck was going on with her. One day I walked into a dog health food store and they told me maybe my boxer should stay away from chicken, wheat, soy and any other grains. We tried the Zignature Turkey and my boxer right away went to her dog bowl. For three months we had her on Turkey but then the vet said Turkey is in the same family as chicken. Here we go again changing her food. With the Lamb there have been no side affects. My fur baby does not bite her paws, her hair is so shinny and she has gained weight. Based on her breed I gave her 1 1/2 cups in the morning and the same at night. She seems to go after her food more when I add warm water. I've been told that the warm water brings out the flavor in the food. I highly suggest this brand if your dog has shown signs of biting/itching and sheds alot. August 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This food is AMAZING!!! My pit mix Lilly has displayed severe allergy symptoms ever since she was a pup. For 7 years we looked for the perfect food for her. From trying expensive over $100 a bag prescription food to making my own food for her. Nothing worked!!! She would be in constant agony, itching her skin off. Bleeding behind her ears and all over her body. It was horrible!! I would get on line and read reviews for other possible food and would give it a try. Nothing worked!! She needed to take steroids and that was not good for her. Until I found this food. The vet didn't know anything about it. I decided to try it. I had nothing to loose. After 1 month I noticed a major change. Her fur was growing back and she wasn't itching as much. Today, I can say that she is the happiest I have ever seen her. Looking great with shiny fur and a big smile. She can sleep again instead of itching all night, and so can we:) I really think she is allergic to potatoes. Lots of the other food I tried had potatoes. This one doesn't. Give it a try!! I am so happy I did. August 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick Results I had my yellow lab mix on another 5 star limited ingredient food that was a sweet potato and fish formula. He had consistently loose stools, so I went to a local pet store seeking advice. The associate steered me away from foods with potatoes in them, and recommended Zignature lamb formula. So far, the results have been dramatic. After only 2 weeks on the food his stools have firmed up considerably. I have not noticed an increase in the frequency of his stools, but he always went a lot! He was also scratching and licking himself like crazy, which has all but stopped. It never occurred to me that all of his symptoms were tied to his previous food. I swear his feet even smelled better-- much less offensive "corn chip" odor! Best of all, he loves it! On his old food, he would come when called for dinner, but often walk away from his bowl. Now he runs to his eating spot, and happily gobbles down his whole bowl. June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rather expensive but well tolerated by my dogs Have been feeding my two border collie mix breed dogs Costco Natures Domain forever....they suddenly developed vomiting/diarrhea. I am not sure that was the source, but I switch to a limited ingredient food for now. They are feeling well, but will say they are pooping much more on this food than on the Natures Domain. With two dogs and two healthy appetites, not sure this food is a good economical choice! August 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Seems to be good, time will tell. Both dogs love this. But my dogs aren't picky. Smells very fresh. If you're already feeding a good quality food, expect stool to increase in diameter & output. Does a really good job of firming up stool. Dogs went from liquid poop to solid in 3 meals. But my 2 poop a day dog went to 5 poops. I now feed her half & half with Nature's Variety Kibble & she's back down to 2 Poops per day. My 1 poop a day dog went to 1-2 per day. He's the reason I swapped to this food. I'm trying to find the cure to his foot chewing & rashes. In the 2 weeks he's been eating this, the foot chewing has been reduced by about 90%. I cut out all canned food & now top with cooked meat. I'm very pleased so far. But the last food (Hound & Gatos# took 2 months to tell that it was hurting both my dogs & 1 cat #cat was on cat version). So time will tell if this is as great as I'm hoping. I only gave 4 stars due to the amount of fiber. I think they could probably get the same stool firming with a little less fiber. December 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bulldog approved! My little bulldog has been plagued with recurring skin allergies. Fortunately another bulldog Mom told me about Zignature. I ordered three small bags in different favors and my little girl LOVES them all! She's been raised on Merrick but continued to have skin issues and breakouts. All of that vanished when we switched to Zignature. Apparently the taste is incredible, she gobbles it down. It might be a little pricy but when you take the cost of Merrick, add Vet bills and medicines it's a real bargain. I will gladly pay more to have a happy, healthy dog! August 10, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by not my dog's favorite zignature flavor LOVE this brand, but so far my dog doesn't seem to be into the lamb flavor. She LOVED the seafood varieties and the kangaroo, so I won't reorder this one. August 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good quality feed I love the limited ingredients in this food only problem my dog apparently doesn't like "lamb". The bum! So my next order is duck! I know she loves duck. She is much less itchy! I have a very picky dog so don't let her picky-ness stop you from trying this food. It's great quality. August 15, 2016
