Description

Feed your dog farm to bowl nutrition with the Ziwi Peak Daily-Dog Venison Cuisine Grain-Free Air-Dried Dog Food. Simple and pure, just like the Ziwi love for dogs, this recipe gives your pal the best of New Zealand. Using a gentle twin-stage air-drying process, they naturally preserve all the ingredients, which also eliminates pathogenic bacteria. There’s no need to rehydrate since the air-dried food contains more moisture than dry kibble—and because there’s also no need for preservatives, sugars and glycerines, the food is safe, clean and easy to handle. In fact, it’s just as nutritious and digestible as a completely raw diet, in the convenient form of air dried.

Key Benefits

  • 100% single-sourced venison is free-range and grass-fed on ethical and sustainable New Zealand farms; free of antibiotics, growth promotants and added hormones.
  • Gentle twin-stage air-drying process eliminates pathogenic bacteria while naturally preserving and protecting the nutrients in all of the ingredients.
  • Includes 98% fresh meat, organs, bones and New Zealand green mussels—a natural source of chondroitin and glucosamine, which supports joint health.
  • 95% digestible, high-protein and high-kilocalorie diet packs more power than raw food or kibble so you can feed smaller quantities per day.
  • Complete and balanced, limited-ingredient formula never include grains, corn, soy, potatoes, wheat, rice, fillers, sugars, glycerins, rendered meals or preservatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I give my pet a Ziwi Peak treat, how much food should I feed?

There is a lot of goodness in every Ziwi Peak treat, so we recommend you modify the amount of Ziwi Peak food at feeding time. Your pet won’t need as much if he or she has had treats, so reduce accordingly. Much as pets love them, Ziwi Peak treats don’t make a complete daily diet. Use them as a premium real-meat treat to occasionally reward your dog or cat’s good behavior.

  • Super food!

    By on

Firstly, my dogs loved this food as I knew they would by reading the ingredients...the first 6 or 7 ingredients were from venison... meat, organs, bone, etc. I LOVE the fact that this dog food contains BONE...try to find another dry dog food that does!!! Secondly, a dog would eat much less of this food than most other brands I've seen so that does buffer the price shock. Thirdly, as an owner of an 'allergic' dog, this food is wonderful. I may try the beef formula as well since it is a tad less expensive. Overall, if you are searching for a food that is hands-down some of best money can buy (other than preparing your own home-made diet), this would be it! ps this food makes for awesome Firstly, my dogs loved this food as I knew they would by reading the ingredients...the first 6 or 7 ingredients were from venison... meat, organs, bone, etc. I LOVE the fact that this dog food contains BONE...try to find another dry dog food that does!!! • Wonderful to use as training treats!

    By on

My two dogs are 8 and 12 pounds. Training is a challenge because I inevitably feed most of their daily calories in just a hour of training. My dogs needed something higher value than kibble, and my trainer suggested using Ziwipeak. LOVE this product! The dogs go crazy for it, and I feel better giving an actual dog food as a treat. The pieces are small squares, which can easily be broken into halves or quarters. The price for the 16oz bag may seem pricey for treats, but trust me the bag last a long time (2-3 months for my pups). My dogs have since been transitioned to a raw diet, but I still train with Ziwipeak. They have no digestive issues going between the raw and Ziwipeak. • Will Definitely Purchase Again

    By on

I first purchased the Mackeral / Lamb version of this food and then decided to switch over to the Venison variety. I mixed them together during transition to avoid stomach upset. I've been very pleased with both varieties and my 8 month old yorkie/chihuahua mix absolutely loves it. It's fairly expensive so for a larger dog I'm not sure I could afford to feed it, but the 2.2 lb bag (at 1/4 cup twice daily feedings) is lasting my little guy a good month. The food stays fresh in the resealable bag. I also love that each bag comes with a measuring scoop! I'll definitely plan on sticking with this food for my little guy as long as consistency and quality stay the same!

  • Excellent food

    By on

Been having so many problems with my bulldog allergies ...cooking for him for a couple months proved to be time consuming and expensive. This food was an easy transition and he loves it and has shown no allergic reactions !!! The portions are small and I've had a hard time gauging the autoship needs, it's expensive but my dog is worth every penny:)

  • the only dry food my spoiled dog will eat

    By on

Our spoiled poochon Bella loves it, this is actually the only dry food she will eat. i was surprised as the smell is a bit stronger than other brands. I cooked for her but I wasn't sure if she getting all nutrients and vitamins from it plus it is time consuming. So far we are happy with it. The price is a little high but for a very well behaved dog wearing Ralph Lauren, Henri Bendel clothes and sleeps in the bed with our girls I think she's worth it.:)

  • OMG my babies just love this

    By on

This is just fantastic. My 3 dogs are extremely picky eaters especially with dry food... they devour this in minutes. Unfortunately I dont think that I will purchase this flavor anymore because of the outrageous price that it is now selling for. After I purchased my second bag the price doubled and now almost tripled . I know all things Venison are so much higher ( don't know why but maybe deer are not as abundant in New Zealand as they are here in Pennsylvania) I beg you ZiWI lower your price... I guess I'll try another flavor...

  • Treats or Food?

    By on

These dried venison "chips" (half inch x half inch flakes) are ideal given as treats. We pretty much constantly reward our young dog for good behaviors, and this venison product is low in calories, full of protein, and quite tasty. Honestly, it's the best 'treat' we've ever purchased.

  • ZIWI IS THE BEST!

    By on

My greyhound, Sandy just loves Ziwipeake air dried venison, and it is a required part of his daily meals. He has colitis and must be so careful. Venison and other wild protein is the solution for him along with a little cooked potato and turkey.

  • Ziwi Peak Venison

My Jack Russell is 14 years old and I have tried many different kins of kibble. Ziwi Peak is the only kind she will finish eating. It is expensive, but very high quality, it is worth it!

  • Very happy

    By on

I use ZiwiPeak dog food as training treats for my pup. He is 10 months old now and ive been using ZiwiPeak since he was about 4 months old. This was recommended to me by my dog's trainer as a healthy way to reward your dog! My dog is extremely picky and will turn his nose up to almost everything I offer him (or get bored of things quicky). BUT he loooooves this stuff! The Venison flavor has been his favorite so far. I buy the smallest sized bags so I can switch up the flavors. My dog is a 7lb toy poodle so he needs very small rewards otherwise he will get full very quickly during training. ZiwiPeak food is extremely easy to break up. I would definitely recommend this as a training treat. Awesome I use ZiwiPeak dog food as training treats for my pup.
