This system is rechargeable only, it is not required to remove or exchange the batteries.

old version was better

We had an older version of this collar and it worked great for many years on our two large dogs. When we needed to replace one of the collars, we came back to this brand. Unfortunately, we are disappointed. The collars now have an on/off switch which by itself isn’t an issue. However, these collars switch off on their own and sometimes when we are afield around the farm, they shut off. Also they do not hold a charge very long. Previous version held a charge for about two weeks or longer. This version is lucky if it holds a charge for two days. The audible alarm to alert the dogs is very faint.

Wonderful product

I love love love this training device! I have a 98lb lab and this works wonderful. I especially love using it when we are somewhere he can run off leash like the beach. All I have to do now is press the audio beep and he comes running back to my side. This is a quality device for a great price. This is my 2nd in 3 years only because we were very rough on the first one. The remote got dropped alot oops. Well worth the money.

Amazing training device for my dog

I have a pug; he was very hard-headed and wouldn't come when called. He had a bad habit of wanting to run off and chase vehicles coming down our long driveway. We were worried he would get hit by a vehicle, so we purchased this collar. I only had to use the "shock" feature one time. (Which isn't painful - more uncomfortable. I tested it on me first) it's not painful, but it is enough to get your dog's attention, big or small, and scare them enough to stop. After first pressing the sound button and then shocking my dog one time to get him to stop chasing a vehicle, all I have to do now is press the sound button, which creates a beep sound, and my dog returns to me. It's amazing. I'm not a veterinarian or expert dog trainer, but I recommend this product.
