Sure, a pup trying to crawl on your lap while you're driving sounds cute, but let's face it: they're not very good at driving. Keep you and your pet safe and sound on your way to the park with the Dogit Car Safety Dog Belt. These adjustable safety straps attach to your pet's harness and buckle directly into the seat belt to make sure everyone stays exactly where they should.
Freedom of movement can be easily controlled with the adjustable slider.
Made from a strong nylon weave, belt won't break under strain or pulling stress by a dog.
Reduces driver distraction and keeps pet secure.
Attaches to any harness or collar and comes with a seat belt buckle end that attaches the belt right to the car seat belt lock.
Length of up to 34 inches, providing plenty of reach within a car.
I was worried about this since I'd bought a seatbelt for my granddog quite a few years ago and my daughter had a lot of difficulty getting it to snap in. When I recently purchased one, it would not lock in my SUV or my husband's car. Chewy, of course, gave me a refund. It took some time for me to try another and this one snapped right in! No worries of our baby tumbling around at a sudden brake or (god forbid) being thrown out of the car if there was an accident! This worked great for us!
Favorite dog seatbelt

Really have enjoyed using this seatbelt! It offers good length adjustments and it's easy to use. Click in and clip on. Doesn't seem to get in the way for sniffing out the window or curling up on the car bed. We clip it to the harness (front or back) and can even leave the leash on or remove it. He can wander a little but we know he won't just be able to make his way to the front.
Not great if your dog likes to move around

This seatbelt is just a strap that locks into the car seatbelt buckle. Our dog, a 45 lb. Labrador likes to move in the back seat and got tangles up in the strap. I would not recommend this product unless your dog stays put on one side of the car.
Not for large dogs

I'm assuming my large 60# dog is stepping on the seat belt hook-in and releasing it as to why she's suddenly in my face vs it slipping out. When I clip it in I do pull on it to make sure its secure. I've even covered it up w throws on the seat but it still happens. I will need to get a different style.
This seat belt keeps me safe in the car

Clips into seatbelt and then his harness. Fortunately haven’t experienced it in an accident but feel it keeps him safer while riding in the car. Length is adjustable so he has enough room to sit up or lay down and easily removed to go in different cars.
I bought two!

Great value, great idea. So much so I have two for each car. Much safer to keep my best friend in the back seat too. Highly recommended.

Ideally this would be good for a smaller dog. Our 40lb dog somehow managed to unbuckle the buckle part while moving around. I think the pressure from his weight caused that to happen. This item would be good for a smaller dog.
Made our ride so much better!

Received quickly as usual from Chewy. Bought to go with the Kurgo harness (even though it came with it's own seatbelt harness). Easy to use, just clicks in like your vehicle's seatbelt and connects to your pet's harness like a leash. Has adjustable strap. Seems like it will hold up well. Definitely recommend.
Shih Tzu Puppy

The belt is very reliable and essential for car rides. My puppy hasn’t chewed on it at all and wasn’t bothered by it. Definitely look into getting a harness with it. I recommend getting a belt, but especially if the dog understands the rules of staying in their seat in the car. My 4 month Shih Tzu puppy tends to walk over to my seat when I’m driving to get a better view out the window but I adjust the belt to the best length. I have a Ford and it latches into the buckle with no issue.

Love taking my pup for car rides and to go on adventures on a new trail/hike but am always concerned about her safety. What if I get hit by another driver or she sees another dog outside and wants to play or join me in the drivers seat. This gave me peace of mind that she would be secured and in one spot during the trip.
