Does the job

It bothers me that these are almost $5 a month compared to other fountains' filters, but I like the fountain better than others so I tolerate it. They definitely trap lots of stuff keeping the pump clean longer. not sure what fountain the other reviewer has, but this definitely fits the corresponding product, the Dogit Design Alfresco Outdoor Drinking Fountain, perfectly.

I change the filter every week. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats drinking out of the fountain, so the filter traps all sorts of ugliness. It sits right on top and is very easy to replace.
