Dogline Round Soft Leather Dog Collar

I bought this for my senior dog so that he could be as comfortable as possible while still wearing his tags. The band is round and soft. He's a lab mix and the 22-25 in size is perhaps a little large, but I wanted it to be on the loose side and won't use this collar for walks. There is extra material after tightening that just kind of hangs out there, even when tucked into the band.

Well, this is the 3rd one I’ve ordered in 2 months! Not because they’ve broke, but because my dog chewed them. (My fault) I really like these collars. I have a 10 month old, 105 lb Shiloh Shepherd with a very thick “mane” so I needed something that wouldn’t tangle or mash or make a collar ring around his furry neck. This collar is the ticket! It’s very soft and not too fat or heavy. And it’s large enough. (on the last hole though). I needed a “house collar” for him, so I keep it loose. I gave it 5 stars because it works perfectly for our needs. I have used round leather collars for years. This one, however, isn't what I expected. The "leather" stretches easily, is larger in diameter than what I've had in the past. It also was a little bit big, even with measuring, so I cut off part of the end with the holes. At that time I found the layers of "leather" separated even though stitched. I glued them together. I haven't been able to find the ones I like in stores so thought I'd try this one. I guess I'll keep looking for the quality ones.

This is a great looking and working collar for my very active GSD Pfeffer. She looks so pretty in it. I love buying from Chewy because they care.

I had higher expectations because the description said 'leather' . But honestly, the quality really isn't that great. But they were on super sale, so I suppose I got my money's worth. I'll be surprised if this collar lasts 6 months. It seems very stretchy, stitching looks like it could unravel at any point, and the metalwork appears light and not sturdy at all. As long as it doesn't fall apart while I'm walking my 55lb Australian Shepard, then I'll be happy. Side note -- I ordered purple which is a pretty vibrant color, but it looks more like a rubber or squishy plastic than leather.

Is this even leather? Dye looked like it would come off on my dog. Thin and weirdly stretchy. I threw it away.

The color is beautiful with soft leather. But is larger than 16 inches, which is where I want the holes to be. I wanted it for a welsh corgi and it’s more for a spaniel dog.

We purchased this leather collar because our experience with rolled leather collars has been great. Not so this time. After putting this beautiful looking collar on our 1-1/2 year old lab she proceeded to pull right out of it. We tightened it up and she did it again. The collar was like a rubber band, stretching 2" with moderate force. Leather isn't supposed to stretch like this. This isn't full, or top grain leather. I wouldn't recommend it to any owner who is concerned for their dog's safety. Looks are not everything.

I had trouble finding a collar small enough to fit my 4-month old Morkie, but this color fits perfectly, and does a great job.

It’s a very good product but I didn’t love it myself. I thought it would be a thicker round collar. But that was on me for not looking at the sizing correctly, the product itself is amazing! It is really nice leather and the color is JUST what I wanted.
