Does motor power off if water is low?

The Smart Fountain Plus 3.2 Liter is designed to turn off when the water is low. The Pump has a built-in sensor that first changes the light from Blue to Red as a visual low water warning, then if it runs out the pump will automatically turn off.

Terrible to clean

I have had this fountain for a few months now. The filter is easy to clean and I was it out with soap pretty often. Unfortunately its hard to clean out the pump. The water fountain is starting to smell as if it has been unkept which I believe its due to the pump, i replace the filter more often than suggested. I would give this product ) stars if I could.

Loved it until it started leaking

Our cats absolutely love this fountain, but we recently noticed that our floor boards started to warp and it turns out that this fountain was the culprit. There was no noticeable leak at first, but the bottom of the fountain had noticeable condensation and a very, very slow, small drip coming from the area near the power adapter port. I never would have noticed it until the floor boards started to warp. We will have to replace the floorboards that were warped from the water damage. The fountain is still functional, but I will have to place it in a plastic or ceramic tray to catch the water/condensation and keep it from damaging the floor further.

Don't Purchase

This fountain barely pushed any water out, certainly not a "fountain" and that only lasted for 3 days, then it quit altogether. I emailed Chewy directly and have yet to get any kind of response.

Originally I bought the flower fountain... Lasted a week. Then I got this Dogness foundation and couldn't be happier. Both cats, dogs and my parrot are all getting their own. Not just buying 1 but more like 3. Very good product

Excellent support!

We went to replace the filter and mistakenly disposed of the holder as well. Reached out to support and a new part is on the way the next day. Can't really ask for better than that.

Works good but....

I ordered this and both my cat and dog loved it. After about a month I decided to change out the filter and since I have multiple aquariums I had the bulk materials to make my own. I cut open the filter to use part of it as a template and found not carbon in the middle but silica gel packets which is definitely not used to filter water.

After less than a month it completely stopped working and I ended up taking off the top and just using it as a regular water bowl

Too much noise

When I ordered this water device it did not say that it constantly runs and is very noisy, Is there anything I can do so it is not running constantly ad making all the noise?

Tempting but Don't

Love the concept, but this device has been problematic almost since day 1. It just inexplicably doesn't pump even after cleaning everything including the pump and new filter, now the elec connector is shorting. 6 months old. Frustrating.

Really Wanted to Like it!

I was super excited to get this fountain for my two dogs but was quickly disappointed with its constant leaking. I at first was thinking maybe we did something after cleaning it but realized it wasn't us. I contacted Chewy to let them know it began to leak and it hadn't even been a month; customer service was fabulous of course and sent us a replacement. I don't usually write a review but our replacement didn't even last a week. Hopefully the company can figure out a way to make the product hold up. For reference we have a 17 yo yorkie and a german shepherd; our german shepherd is a water snob and refused to drink out of it! It wasnt bumped or pushed around at all; it remained stationary on a mat the whole time. I will say our mat saved us because I came home to the majority of water in the fountain had leaked out. The mat collected it versus sitting on our wood floors.
