This food is amazing! My Pitbull is so excited when it's time to eat. It has actual pieces of meat and vegetables. It doesn't smell bad and it's really helped her stay at a healthy weight.

  • Old and picky eater loves it!

My 15-year-old beagle mix had been having a lot of trouble with mobility due to a broken pelvis many years ago. Pain medication made her lethargic, and didn't actually seem to help her get around. She had also become a very picky eater as she aged. I started making dog-safe chicken stew to mix in with her dry food, and adding a joint care supplement to the mix, then I weaned her off the pain medication. She seemed to be doing much better, but after a while making and canning large quantities of the stew was difficult, so I started looking for another option. I saw that this food was rated very well, so we decided to try it. After a few weeks she is doing very well, bouncing around like she did when she was much younger. Although she still has limitations, she clearly feels a lot better. I'm not doing homemade anymore because this food looks and smells great, and my girls have done very well eating it. The bonus is that Chewy's autoship means I always have their food, and never have to set aside a day to cook and can! … more

  • My 2 standard poodles love it

Tried this product I purchased from a grocery store and my dogs really seemed to enjoy it. So I ordered a couple of cases on line as it is cheaper to purchase that way. The more my dogs eat it, the more they like it. It's about the only thing they eat where they clean their bowl!

  • Smells like people food.

My old dog has trouble with kibble these days, and is a picky eater when it comes to wet foods. She prefers stew type dog foods with a limited ingredient list (the more ingredients, the more fussy she seems). This one makes her very happy, and the price is great. The calorie count is average per can, at 332/can, and the protein is a bit low (8% vs most brands' 10-13%), but I can supplement with cooked meat and some kibble. As for the "happy hips" I can make no claims. My arthritic dog is exactly like she was before she started eating this food. Dietary glucosamine and chondroitin supplements have very spotty and poor results in actual dog studies, so I didn't expect any miracles.

I can only guess that my dog loves this since she can't tell me, but she does eat it all up. I would buy it and I have bought it over and over.

Pearl, my dog loves it. I have tried other wet foods, lots of them, nothing pleases Pearl like Happy Hips. It is good for her too.

After switching to Healthy Hips, my 12 YO dog is running around and doesn't seem to be as challenged by stairs as she was before. We are very pleased.
