    Calm Mousse does the trick

    By on

This product seems to be helping with an allergy problem that has caused itching for my dog this summer. I had been using the shampoo by the same manufacturer, but the mousse doesn't require bathing or a ten minute wait before rinsing like the shampoo product does. The mousse just dries in place after applying and it has calmed the area.

    Love this stuff!

This has really helped to clear up our pup's skin. The dryness and itch are gone, and the hair is growing back in much better. It smells good, dries quickly, and he usually takes a nap right after application.

    Doesn't work for every pup!

After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to incorporate this product into my dog's grooming routine to calm her seasonal allergen irritation. Our vet has previously sold us the Douxo Chlorhexidine + Climbazole mousse (orange bottle) and that did help with some minor skin irritations she was experiencing around her paws last year. We ended up buying both this time around as there wasn't a clear answer which would be better for her particular needs. Unfortunately, we haven't seen any changes using the Calm mousse, and she is just as itchy as ever. Additionally, as a poodle mix it makes her hair quite sticky and greasy looking, even when I brush through the hair once the mousse has dried. We were interested in purchasing the Calm shampoo as well (and it is suggested the mousse be used in conjunction with the shampoo) but the additional unnecessary ingredients made me wary of putting it all over her body. We will try the Chlorhexidine version of the mousse and see if that is a better solution. … more

    My dog LOVES this!

    By on

My pit bull has major skin problems and the only thing that helps is prednisone, but after a year on prednisone it is affecting his health negatively. This is the most amazing stuff and he absolutely loves it. When I get it out, he comes running to stand and turn, and let me put it all over him. It's the only topical thing that helps him stop biting and licking at his feet and scratching his neck and sides raw. Smells good too! I originally got it from my vet, but am looking for less expensive options to continue it.

    Will not purchase again!

This did not give any kind of relief to my dog. I wouldn't recommend it nor do I think the price is worth it.
