Works great!
By AKB126 on Mar 1, 2021
We use this to clean our chubby kitty’s backside. Our vet instructed us to use the wipes from the same manufacturer to wipe twice a day. We use this in place of the wipes sometimes to clean a bigger area and help with any odors. Our kitty had 3 UTIs in a short span (all different bacteria) but so far we haven’t had issues since we started using the Douxo chlorhexidine products.

Great stuff
By MOMMY on Jan 24, 2021 Top 100 Contributor
Veterinary dermatologist recommended for my dog who has allergies and was constantly licking and chewing her feet and belly. Easy to use I just shake it for 30 seconds and put a pump or two in the palm of my hand and then apply to her feet and belly. Doesn’t smell the best but it’s a small price to pay for her comfort. I stay close by to keep an eye on her after using it so she doesn’t lick it. Also make sure not to get it near their eyes or mouth. Apparently the spray is not as good as the mousse I guess it’s missing an ingredient or two in case you were wondering. It’s not greasy and doesn’t leave stains either and I love the way it helps my girl. I’ll never be without it.

Wonderful for in-between baths for my dog's staph infection
By Nisa on Feb 3, 2021
My dog had pretty intense digging all of 2020 due to allergies. This resulted in scabby, crusty ring like areas that caused hair to fall out. Turns out it was staph infection. The vet recommended weekly bathing weekly, which was turning other areas very dry and still scabbing up badly by the next bath. I've used this for two weeks, mid-week between baths. The scabbing has greatly reduced! Looking forward to continuing this, and also using the shampoo version on the scabbed areas.

Another win from Douxo!
By SalemLab on Jan 11, 2021 Top 50 Contributor
I've used the Douxo wipes for my cats' chin acne and also for my young Lab. Recently, my dog was starting to stink less than 2 weeks after his bath. A yeasty smell, and some weird patches of flaky but greasy areas on his body. Before a trip to the vet which is extremely stressful for him due to Covid protocols, I did a ton of research and decided to try this mousse. I wanted something that was more moist/wet than the wipes so that I could really massage it into his skin and coat. And, because I wasn't sure if it was yeast and/or a fungus, I was relieved to learn that the ingredients in this mousse would treat both. Anyway, I brushed him ahead of time to try to reduce shedding and then went to I've used the Douxo wipes for my cats' chin acne and also for my young Lab. Anyway, I brushed him ahead of time to try to reduce shedding and then went to work. A handful of pumps of the foam and I really massaged/scrubbed the mousse everywhere but his face, paying special attention to his scent gland areas. It was a little messy because of how wiggly he is, and my wet hands were definitely covered in dog hair after the massage. He tried to lick himself while the mousse dried so I distracted him with some treats and a bone. I will say that many people's reviews made me worry about this leaving a greasy film on his coat. I did not have that experience. Yes, when it dried there was a very light change to how his coat felt, but it was almost akin to how your hair feels after you massage in a bit of dry shampoo. I used this daily for a week and then took him to the groomer for a re-boot with a bath, etc. Happily, he seems to be back on track. He's 4 weeks post-bath and the stink is gone, and the greasy patches are no longer. I can't definitively say WHAT was going on with him, but I'm sure this Douxo helped. I hope this review helps others make a decision on whether this would help their pets. … more

For Itchy Feet
By Poodlemom on Feb 9, 2021
My toy poodle has sensitive feet. If he plays ball in the yard, he comes in and starts licking his feet and it becomes compulsive. I wipe his feet with a damp washcloth and then apply this product to his feet. I carry him around until it dries to prevent him from licking it. I do believe this product helps relieve the itch.

This stuff works like magic
By CorgiMama36 on Jan 11, 2021
I always keep this stuff on hand because it works like a charm for any kind of funky skin issue my dogs might have. It clears up staph infections and random fungal skin trouble that crop up from time to time. And, the fact that it's foam and not spray makes application a lot easier since my dogs run at the sound of a spray bottle.

Saved my dog's skin and paws
By Sarge on Nov 10, 2020
My whippet mix is allergic to grass and got terrible seasonal allergies this past summer/fall. He was completely covered in itchy bumps, his hair was falling out, and he was injuring his paws by chewing on them non-stop. I felt so bad for him. This mousse in combination with the shampoo are the only things that worked to completely get rid of his issues. Now I use these products less often just to keep it at bay and it lasts a very long time. I apply the mousse in particular in between his paws where he gets flare-ups most often. Taking one star off because even on my dog's very short-haired coat I do think it leaves a residue.

Effective but gross
By Hiphoppapotamus on Oct 23, 2020
Our vet prescribed this for our itchy Dood. He had scratched so much he caused an infection and lost hair in all his leg pits and groin area. We used this 2x a day in addition to antibiotics and prednisone. The scratching stopped immediately and seemed to clear up within 3 days. Really effective! With that being said, it is disgusting stuff. It reeks and makes his hair really greasy and grimy. I hate putting it on because it makes me gag. Better than a miserable pup I guess. Wondering if the spray or shampoo has the same odor. Might be worth trying one of those first.

Worked Very Well
By Shelske on Oct 24, 2020
I had taken my Female dog into the vet for her heartworm test & wanted him to look at her belly as on her haunches, she was getting a crusty scab on them. He gave me this for her as she is too big to really get into the tub to give her a bath & this cleared her up quickly. She is doing well, not more redness & no more crusty scabs either. I highly recommend this.

I was skeptical but after two applications, the swelling and red bumps on my Teacup Yorkie started to subside. So happy to find this!
