My dog, who is a poodle mix, has had frequent skin infections. Our vet recommended this product and it has worked wonders. It is well tolerated by my small sir and has cleared up his skin. He’s having less infections and when they flare they are shorter lived with this quick spot treatment. Chewy absolutely has the best price on these wipes as well.
I noticed a possible yeast infection in one of my dogs folds, I bought these to try and help treat it before seeking vet care. I used the wipes twice in a few days time span and the third time several days later it’s almost completely cleared up.
My frenchie has very allergy prone skin and recently his feet have been itching like crazy. He was chewing on them constantly and they were very red and irritated. This brand was recommended by a friend and after one use he completely stopped chewing on his feet. I’ve tried all kinds of home remedies and this is the ONLY thing that made a difference
We’ve been using this product for a number of years. Chewie, by far, has the best price anywhere! In the past, we’ve use this for our dog that had skin problems; it helped us clean her wounds. Now, we are using us for our Frenchy so we can clean out the crevices of his pads. It has greatly reduced the irritation he gets from dirt and mud being embedded in his front pads. We use this product every morning so that he can start the day without scratching.
My Frenchie is having major fungal/yeast/bald spot issues on his face and in his wrinkles which would bleed. The vet recommended this brand of wipes and they have made a major difference. This is the first time I’ve seen any improvement in his face/wrinkle issues after multiple vets visits, steroids/prescriptions, and a shot. HUGE difference, he used to have a yellow crusty build up on his nose that would crack and dry out his nose. He’s not fully healed (has had issues for months, so it will take some time), but the build up is completely gone and his nose is the healthiest I’ve ever seen it. It’s so soft and squishy now! He still has a little bit of the bald spots which still bleed a little, but the yellowy crust is gone and the bald spots are getting smaller! I’m so happy, I can finally kiss his little face again without fear or hurting him or myself!
they seem to be working great for yeasty ears, my only thought is-perhaps my dog is a really bad case and needs more care as we used up 2 jars if these in one week. it would be great if they came in larger sizes and more wipes or larger size option of 90-120 wipes
I ordered this to wipe the skin around the groin area of my dog. I ordered two jars the first time thinking it would serve the purpose, and I'm one of those people who don't like to run out of anything so I ordered a third jar a few weeks later. Big mistake. I should have ordered one and used it up to see if there would be any issues before I ordered more. After a few weeks of use, my dog began to have a red rash in her groin area. I had no idea what caused it but I didn't think about it being the Douxos because I had been using it for a while without issue. I thought a chemical reaction would have been immediate. I took her to the Vet several times but she couldn't figure out what it was. She also thought if it was the Douxos it would have happened when I first starting using it. She kept trying different ointments but nothing helped. Finally, I stopped using the Douxos. The redness went away but now the top layer of my dog's skin is literally peeling off just like it does when you have a blister - except it is peeling off all over. My Vet said she must have had some type of delayed reaction or build up type reaction to the Chlorhexidine. I recommend if you are going to try this, or any product with Chlorhexidine, you get only one to see if you have any issues before you buy more and keep a close eye on the area for any type of redness or blistering or anything out of the ordinary. It may take a while to happen so be careful. I've wasted the money on the Douxos, spent a small fortune on the Vet and ointments that didn't work, and worst of all my dog's skin is a mess.
My dog has gotten yeast infections between his toes the last two ragweed seasons, so I bought these recently to prepare. Wow!! I'm pretty impressed at how quickly these are clearing it up. We've gone from pretty rusty toe-betweens to more of a pink in just a couple days. Definitely make sure you get the lid back on tight to keep them from drying out. They do have a scent, but it's vaguely vanilla and ??? I can't quite put my finger on the other part of the scent, but it doesn't bother me or my dog and that's what really matters.
My pet had numerous problems with mites on his back. And the area stayed inflamed. Upon using this product, the area cleared up instantly.
I have used these wipes for many years. I have a pug, so it’s part of her regular routine. The wipes prevent her from getting infections on her cheeks.
