Downtown Pet Supply Pee Turf Portable Dog Potty Trainer, Green

I bought this as we are house training an 8 week old puppy. Placed it outside the back door just in case it was needed. We live in rain country and was hoping the little guy could be taught how to use it. I was amazed and pleased that without any coaching or coaxing the little guy hopped right up on it and did his thing! He seems to use it every time we are out back without hesitation. Good Boy! My pup didn’t understand to just pee on this and when she did it stunk to the high heavens-it was winter time, & I cleaned it and hosed it down with simple green deodorizer. Had to toss it and she pottys on rocks now.

not sure why my poodle prefers to potty anywhere but on this turf - we will get the previous product that worked a lot better and has more realistic texture.

The size is exactly as stated, the plastic is robust. Easy to clean. Price is right. The middle layer allows urine to drain to the bottom pan and “traps” the smell of urine so the room doesn’t stink too badly. I can go a few days without washing it, and I barely notice any odor, and I am very keen on even the slightest scents. I have it in my bathroom and my pup took to it instantly.

I got this for use on an apartment balcony. My dogs do use it but it is challenging to clean. It seems like with some slight modification it could be easier to clean.

We Began potty training our pug puppy of pee turfs. This is the best as there is no urine smell like other turfs. We rinse the tray nightly and clean the turf every few days. Other turfs smell no matter how often you clean. Our puppy loves this option for cold and/or rainy days when we can’t take him out. Since we have a smaller house we were worried about the smell but no issues here.

Fine product but wrong dimensions in the description. Is not 30 x 30 x 2 but actually 30 x 18 x 2.

This item is good for some dogs but for some reason it did not work at all for mine.

I would recommend for older puppies who might be past the "chew everything in sight" stage. The edges just lay in the tray and my 6-week old litter decided to commence gnawing and chewing, with long mat strands and pieces of plastic grass all over the floor in a short amount of time. Supervision is essential if you use this product with young pups. I put some metal smaller wood clamps on each corner and that helped. I was able to get each pup to use the turf, however, which was a positive. Products like this are nice concepts but need overlap along the edge to "stuff:" the turf under and thus be secured, with less chance pups will find the edge of the mat and start gnawing on it.
