    Great reptile light

    By on Top 50 Contributor

I was needing a UVB light for my Bearded Dragon and this one was recommended by the reptile group I am in. This is a great light and has a long life to it. The T8 repti sun is really bright. You can place this light on a timer if you only want it run during the day and off at night. I leave mine on most of the time because my bearded dragon has a hide to sleep in. He does like to lay under this light along with his heat lamp. A great light to help your barded dragon healthy.

UVB good, UVA not so good.

    By on

The UVB output of the Zoo Med T8 Reptisun is good enough for a 40gal tank, but the UVA (visible light) is pretty lacking. You definitely need a secondary light to make it bright in the tank. I was hoping to use this light as a UVB and a UVA source so that I could run a heating element without the yellow light coming from it. If you are looking for just a UVB source, then this is a good one. Just keep in mind that the UVA isn't so bright.

    love the price!!!

Wouldn’t go with anyone but Zoomed on my UVB bulbs for my Bearded Dragon Gregory. To find such a great price and the fact that Chewy wraps the bulb so well to make sure it gets to me in one piece is such a life saver.

    proper lighting

    By on

Most captive raised reptiles will require multiple light sources. I would combine this with a mercury vapor bulb

    I must have for reptiles.

    By on

I recently rescued a 5 year old bearded dragon with metabolic bone disease. With proper husbandry and proper uvb lighting he's already showing improvement. This product came quickly and safely. The box was a bit big but at least the light was well packaged and arrived intact.

    Exactly as ordered

No complaints, exactly as ordered. I’ve been using this product for years for my 6 yo beardie (she’s my princess). Happy to find it on Chewy. Hopefully their reptile inventory continues to grow!
