Feeding Instructions

Fed alone: for cats weighing 4-10 lbs feed 2.5 - 4.5 pouches per day. For cats weighing 11-18 lbs, feed 4.5 - 6 pouches per day. Adjust as needed.

Fed with Wellness dry: reduce dry by 1/8 cup for every 1 pouch wet. Best at room temperature. Refrigerate unused.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition your pet onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet (starting by mixing 90% old with 10% new and increase new by 10% each day until the bowl is full of only Wellness). Mixing the food will allow your pet to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

When food transition is not an option, there are a few ways to ensure a good transition:

Feed multiple, smaller volume meals. This will decrease the likelihood of over-consumption and provide for a more consistent, firm stool. Add clean warm water to the food to help soften it. Add a digestive aid such a boiled brown rice or sugar-free canned pumpkin.

    So glad to find this!

CoCo Chanel, my tuxedo cat rescue, always has a high quality kibble available. The food "event" is always her canned food, but she doesn't like solids in her wet food. She does love gravies, will lick strands or chunks dry. That worked fine until, after some months, she was suddenly disinterested. I got a sample of this food in the big box store and came to Chewy to buy it. Whoops, she likes it TOO much and will eat until she can't keep it down. Luckily, she doesn't mind if it's cold! Who knew. So, I open a pouch, squeeze out about a fifth of the volume, put the remainder in a small baggie in the fridge. Like toothpaste, just keep working it up as you empty the pouch. Sample a single packet first from a pet store .....

    By on

Purchase a single packet before buying the box. Like the comments of other reviewers - my cat licked the gravy off and left the rest. And my cat eats anything! I did notice that the chicken blend looked more like gristle than actual meat. I ended up tossing an entire box and a half.

My 14 year old cat loves this, I have discovered the gravy foods are what he now prefers. He doesn't lose weight, just maintains.

    Stray/Feral cats love it

    By on

My cats didn’t really like the turkey pouch, they will eat the salmon pouch sometimes. It upset one of my cats tummy’s though. The reason I’m still giving it 4 stars is because I use this food to lure stray/feral cats in a cage so I can get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, then release them back where I trapped them. It’s been the best food for TNR (Trap Neuter Release). Helping to stop the cat population and suffering one cat at a time.

    Not a favorite

I have 5 cats and this food is hit-or-miss with all of them. There's not a single cat in the whole family who will willingly eat this food more than once a week. I had hoped they would like it a bit more than that because it seems to be decent quality.

    Tasty treat

    By on

My cats loved it. I have one cat that needs prescription food to keep him free from bladder stones, so to make it easier I feed it to all 3 cats. I like to occasionally buy regular food as a treat. This was on sale when I bought it and all 3 gobbled it up. Will definitely buy again as a treat!

If only the pouches were smaller...

    By on

My cat is seventeen now and getting more finicky all the time, but she consistently loved and ate this food. The problem is it's quite filling, and since she's my only cat a pouch was just too much for her to finish so we generated too much waste. If I ever have multiple cats again, and will definitely buy this food.

My cat seems to like this brand

    By on

Nova will eat all of this food . I'll put a pkt of this on his plate and really you can get away with just putting half on at a time as there's quite alot in each pouch. It's good quality food and the name speaks for itself.
