by DjangosMom For Anti-Inflammatory Benefits
My pup seems to not mind this at all. He's been on fish oils made for humans (Nature's Bounty 1400) all his life and he's only a little over 2 years old. I just got tired of cutting 2 to 3 pills and squirting it onto his food, so I gave this a go given all the great reviews. So far so good. He's 83 lbs so he gets 2 squirts in his AM meal and 1 with his PM meal. I can't tell any difference EXTERNALLY as he's always had soft beautiful shiny coat, bright eyed and playful. Who knows if it even really helps with inflammation?! I give him fish oils mainly for its anti-inflammatory benefits. My "little big guy" suffers from congenital severe bilateral hip dysplasia and post op 3 knee surgeries from luxating patellas less than 6 months ago. He's an orthopedic nightmare but 100% pure love and joy! Because he is raw-fed and mainly eats chicken, beef, turkey, and pork, I will continue to supplement his diet with fish oils such as this to ensure he's not lacking any essential fats found in fish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nannah works for my ferrets! much better than ferretone
I got this after I realized how AWFUL ferretone was for ferrets. I have two fuzzies, and of course want them to be healthy - and in pet stores, ferretone is praised to be like the ultimate fur and skin vitamin supplement. of course, months after I found out about the awful carcinogens inside . . .
so, yeah, don't get ferretone. salmon oil is much better for them! yeah, this says for dogs or cats, but it's great for ferrets too! and they love the taste. :) I know ferrets imprint on foods, and oil/fats are no different, but they get used to salmon oil pretty quickly. :)
I've seen such a difference in their coats. they're fuller and so much SOFTER compared to before.
so yeah, in summary: ferretone is nasty stuff, and salmon oil is a much better supplement. if I could say one thing, it's that this bottle has a powerful squirt, and sometimes the oil goes all over the place. :S

Rated 5 out of 5 by daisy shiny hair in 1 week
I gave my 15 lb poodle 1 pump a day and my 7 lb maltese 1/2 pump a day.
I can see the result in 1 week. Their hair looks much shinier and feels much smoothier.
Didnt see any diarrhea problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BoxerGirl Always chose pump bottle
I made the mistake of purchasing salmon oil in a non-pump bottle and it was a HUGE mistake. This is a great quality oil and it's WAY cleaner than any of the other bottles. I feed my dogs raw, so cleanliness is essential. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by abiboz My lab loves this!
At my last vet visit I was told labs really benefit from omega 3's because it helps with their joints and their coat. I googled "best salmon oil" and this came up so I ordered it. My lab loves it! He gets two pumps at every meal and he scarfs his food down. His coat is noticeably softer and shinier! We will definitelt keep using this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bjohnson123 Works fast!
So My poor dog has had miserable joints, which recently have gotten really bad. My vet's answer was pain pills, which are like putting a band-aide on the problem.
I ended up ordering this based off of the reviews. So many people mentioned seeing almost immediate results, which seems strange to me-a little unbelievable. But I guess when a body is missing something, and then get's it-it reacts quickly; because we too saw almost immediate results.
Overnight if I'm being exact.
Curtis went from barely being able to get off the couch for 4 WEEKS(on pain meds), to running and jumping up on the couch by the next morning. Simply amazing!
I give it 5 stars because it totally deserves it. Unfortunately, we need to find an alternative, because he also has an intestinal/colon/back end issue we're trying to figure out with our vet. The Salmon oil (while helping his joints), was too much for his digestive issues. Not the oils fault, we're just having a rough go of it right now!
I would whole heartedly recommend this product.
