Rated 5 out of 5 by BaileyLAKingsDog Giant Puppy Food for a Giant Puppy
My puppy stumbled into my business at 6 to 8 weeks old. I decided to keep him but knew he was going to be a big dog. I took him to get his shots. The vet advised me that I needed to get him large breed puppy dog food because what I was feeding him lacked the proper levels of calcium for his fast growing bones. She recommended Royan Canin Giant Puppy food. When I opened the bag, I could see and smell the quality of this food. When I put a bowl in front of my dog the proof was there. He ate it much faster than the other brands I was feeding him and liked it so much that he did not even chew it. Now that time has passed, he still likes it but but he is now thankfully chewing his food. Chewy.com had the best price on the food and provide a wonderful service of automatically sending me food on a regular schedule. I look forward to using chewy.com for the remainder of Bailey's life. I just wish they could provide me with a remedy that can keep Bailey under 100 lbs. :-)

We bought our Great Dane from Europe, and the breeder highly recommended this food for our puppy. It's a little pricey, but well worth every penny.

Our great dane puppy started to "knuckle over" when she was on an adult food as some great dane breeders recommend. We took her to the vet, and the vet recommended this food. her knuckling over corrected itself within about a week of starting this food and she has been growing properly ever since.

I searched everywhere for GIANT puppy food for my Tibetan Mastiff and finally found that Royal Canin had it! Royal Canin isn't that great of a food and it is HORRIBLY priced but, I would do anything to ensure my Tibetan Mastiff grows properly and evenly over the next 5 years (that is how long this long-lived breed takes to grow, the boys at least) Senge has been gaining weight evenly since starting the food, which was my goal.
Thanks to Chewy, I got this food for approximately 20$ less! Thank you!

by Krissi711 GREAT
My Great Dane puppy LOVES his new food.. He hoovers it down! My Vet recommended this food because she worked for a Vet who was a breeder of Great Danes, so on her recommendation I ordered it. He has grown beautifully while eating this food!

Our little guy, a 2-month old St. Bernard puppy, absolutely loves this food! We even use it as treats to reward him for sit, stay, pottying outside... he begs for it. Our vet explained that giant breed dogs need steady but not fast growth, which some attribute extremely fast growth to some cancers found in giant breeds. As long as our little guy is happy, we are too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DaneMom Where's the MEAT????
Dogs are carnivores with omnivorous ability. They like MEAT. The very first ingredient in this isn't meat. The second ingredient is a by-product meal (waste product ground up so they can call it "meal"). There IS NO MEAT in this dog food. What do the farmers feed their cows to fatten them up for market? CORN. GRAINS. Corn makes this dog food sweet so your dogs love it and eat more of it. No wonder they eat it. If your dogs are eating and loving it now and you continue to feed it, I can pretty much say for sure that with time, you will begin to have weight problems, flatulence, and skin problems. I won't feed this stuff.
