Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa53 Expensive, but worth every penny!
I have two dogs. One who will eat anything and the other who is as picky as they get, and has a sensitive stomach. I have tried so many different brands and none come close to this product. The food is, from what I can tell by the way they gobble it down, amazing!! The picky one is eating like a 'real dog' now, and eating as fast as the other one, not leaving a speck of food in her wake. The ingredients are pure enough to eat myself [not that I would, but I could if need be!]
The only downside is that my dogs now wake me up at seven on the dot to eat breakfast. With the other foods, they waited me me to leisurely rise. Now, they can't wait to get their mouths around this stuff.
They are both thriving from the K9 naturals. Yes, its pricey, but so is the food I put in my own mouth. So, I pass up one night out to dinner with my husband and it covers the cost of a months supply of food for my dogs. Is it really THAT expensive if you break it down like that??

Rated 2 out of 5 by DogFriendly Smelly- Not in a good way
First, I will say that the chicken version of this product has been a huge hit with our very picky sheltie. We tried this flavor because he sadly has developed an allergy to chicken- the beef is strongly smelly, in a fatty, unpleasant way. Our dog did not enjoy it, and we will be donating it to our local humane society shelter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by darla don't mix with kibble
My picky dogs love K-9. We were using Primal but switched because the dogs would not eat unless I diced up "additives" to their bowl. With K-9 they gobble up without adding extra goodies to their meal. I am having a hard time believing my eyes....p.s. K-9 says not to mix kibble with their food.

Great food and has the best ingredients. My adult dog has never been so excited to eat in his life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Satch Is there a more approriate dog food?
While the price might throw you for a loop, K9 Natural has meat and fat your dog craves. Yet the remaining portion is fruits and vegetables that mean no artificial vitamins and minerals need to be added.
While it is hard to feed a large dog this diet because of price, even making it a 1/3 of your dogs diet will ensure your dog is eating what nature intended.
This food makes for small firm stool as almost all is digested.
My Lab is eating a 50% diet made up of K9 Naturals as he ages into senior life. He may not be around the rest of my life, but for the remaining years we have together I want the best for him.

by newswriter Package Feeding guide not accurate
I like the quality of this food as a substitute for ordinarily making RAW meals for my Chihuahua, but when following the feeding guidelines, my 6-pound Chihuahua acts as if he's starving.
I had to double the recommended portions for him and he hasn't gained weight. This leads me to believe the portions according to the guidelines are not appropriate and thus doubles the cost of an already pricey food.
I do like the ingredients, the appearance and the ease of feeding, but I'm only going to use this intermittently because of the doubled cost.

I have a petite golden doodle that is a very picky eater. She was around 10 pounds before I ordered k9 natural beef feast raw freeze dried dog food. She was so thin and believe me when I say that I tried several types of dog food to no avail. She would not eat it. When I received the K9 I feed her immediately. She loves it and has gained 2 pounds. Yeah!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doghiking Great for Backpacking with dogs!
I like to backpack with my dogs, but bringing kibble is a huge pain because it is very heavy (aporoximately 2lbs per day for 2 dogs). I tried K9 Natural Freeze Dreeid Beef food on a recent trip and it was most excellent. I only needed 2.2 lbs for 5 days of backpacking with my two dogs (a savings of a whopping 8 lbs which is a huge difference when you are carrying it on your back). Plus the dogs absolutely loved it. (In fact, it looked and smelled palatable enough that I might be willing to eat it in an emergency).
