    Not sure yet

By DarkMatterisaCat on Sep 26, 2021

I’m still in the transition period of switching over to this Dr. Elsey’s kibble, but already I’ve smelled a definite change in how her dookie smells and it isn’t the greatest, she’s still producing normal, compact dookies, however, they’re quite the odoriferous affair. I may decide to switch back to her Cat Person brand of kibble, we shall see.

Most of my cats enjoyed this lower carb choice!

By SierraNevadan on Aug 20, 2021

6 of my 8 cats really went for this despite being a bit "meh" about some duck flavors of wet foods so I bought the smaller bag to try it out. That's about as good a % as I can get with any food flavor offering. I have an insulin-dependent diabetic cat that I *finally* (after 5 months!) have gotten to start re-eating wet food so I need to leave down some food that won't hurt his numbers if he nibbles some. I feed 2 wet pate meals a day for their main feeding and an hour after, leave some dry down for another few hours in puzzle feeders to graze on while I'm at work.. also hide some around the house to satisfy their hunting instinct, then pick it all up so they will eat at their next meal. 6 of my 8 cats really went for this despite being a bit "meh" about some duck flavors of wet foods so I bought the smaller bag to try it out. I feed a variety of very low carb dry foods, including Dr Elsey's, Epigen, Keto Kibble, Young Again. Always been a fan of Dr Elsey's quality and they've been eating the chicken flavor for many years so it's nice to see some other flavors being added. Hope this will help with the shortages this brand has been facing lately. Will also be trying the new rabbit and turkey varieties. … more

My Cats did not order this

By NineCats on Sep 2, 2021

Though my vet recommended a low carb, high protein diet which the Dr Elsey dry food is, my cats could care less about eating healthy. They stuck their noses up at the flavors available and sent the food back to the kitchen with the statement "This is NOT what I ordered. Your cat may like it. It is good for them if they do. Mine had a different opinion.

    Duck Recipe

By Erin on Oct 16, 2021

All four cats love the duck recipe! They are not as interested in the last brand of duck they were eating. I love the list of ingredients in the Dr Elsey’s products.

    happy kitties so far!

By twokitties on Jul 20, 2021

I used the Dr. Elsey clean protein chicken flavor for a while and my cats enjoyed it. I ended up switching to another good brand for a while, but saw the new flavors offered from Dr. Elsey and decided to give duck a try! It was a hit with my cats and they even started digging around their bowl (has both the old food & this one) to specifically eat this food & leave the old! I love that it is high in protein and not full of filler ingredients. My cats love it & i'll be buying again!

Duck Recipe Comparable to Clean Protein Chicken Recipe

By Niki on Jul 31, 2021

My two cats love the Clean Protein Duck Recipe as much as the Chicken Recipe, which hasn't been consistently available recently. They seem to do well on both formulas. I give them variety by also feeding them Weruva canned food and freeze-dried chicken treats. My rating is 4 stars because the price is so high.

    Cats are liking it

By Kenji on Jun 22, 2021

The cats are liking their new dry food. We give just a little dry food at night so that they don’t wake us up begging to be fed. After researching dry foods for cats that are healthy we decided on this one as well as the chicken recipe, and I’m glad. It’s high in protein and doesn’t have grains or other unnecessary/potentially harmful ingredients. If you’re looking for a good dry option this seems to be a great one!

Best kibble cat food with no fillers

By LJeep on Jul 12, 2021

This is the best dry food I have been able to find. It is high protein and does not have fillers like pea protein. My old cat just does not like canned food or raw food so I am trying to give him the best nutrient dense food I can find

Nicole really really likes the dr.elsey's dry cat food

    By Kiera33 on Jul 17, 2021

Nicole really really likes the dr.elsey's dry cat food and she is getting so big and is eating it down to the bottom of the bowl, and is now starting to drink more water than the other brands of dry cat food?

Cats love Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein Duck Recipe

By KeeperofthePride on May 25, 2021

All my cats love Dr.Elsey's Duck Recipe. I had been feeding them his chicken recipe for years. I decided to try the duck recipe and they gobbled it up just like they did when eating chicken. I will be purchasing more duck recipe. Suggest you give it a try. All my cats have soft coats, full of energy and bright eyes because I feed them a top quality, healthy moist cat food and give grain free dry cat food as treats.
