Good dry food

After much research this is the best dry food I can find. It has adequate animal protein (cats can't process plant proteins so they are essentially fillers). Loki is a busy boy and I want him to have kibble if he gets hungry between meals- his main calories come from wet foods served twice each day and he averages about 1 ounce of kibble each day. Only issue is that this is frequently out of stock.

I didn't know she would love Duck so much

She was having tummy issues and a friend brought over a bag of the clean protein Duck flavored. She really likes the flavor and was able to keep it down. It was good to see her eating again.

A treat for my Serval.

As a cereal type of cat food, I find that this one is the cleanest. It doesn’t have by products, fruits, veggies, etc., that cats don’t need. My guy loves this so I’ll get it for him as a once in a while “treat”. It’s grossly overpriced but I find it’s worth it because I go through all the trouble to grind raw meats from my butcher’s (like rabbit, duck, quail, lamb) I don’t want to ruin his diet by giving him something that is tainted with garbage “junk food” that is most of cat kibble today. He’s 12 years old and acts and looks like a one year old. Feeding the right foods is key to good health of your wonderful buddy.

Sadly the cats did not approve of the duck

I give it three stars because of quality, but unfortunately my cats did not like the duck flavor. I usually use the rabbit but due to availability issues I was forced to try this one. They were actually picking this out of the bowl and spitting it out.

Best dry cat food

My cats love this food. I only feed dry food in the morning and they all live it.

Formula changed again

This was one of the flavors that remained true to the old formula. Well that's changed. This is now like the salmon flavor and has a dark color and waxy texture. I am no longer buying this brand of dry food.

Excellent Healthy Low ash

I researched extensively for a dry food that was healthy for my cats, Dr. Elsey's is the one, they love the duck and the rabbit. I also feed American Journey large can pate turkey and turkey/salmon also low ash and healthy. And thank you Chewy for being the best!!

Going..going..gone

my very fussy cats devour this kibble from Dr. Elsey. The Duck and Rabbit versions are their favorites. Not so much the chicken, yet still they eat it handsomely.

Split vote took some convincing

I decided to try Dr. Elsey’s because with its ingredient list and macronutrient percentages it’s one of the best dry foods on the market. The 6.6lb bags were sold out in every flavor except rabbit and duck, so I tried my luck with the duck flavor. One cat reacted like it was crack and couldn’t get enough of it, while the other cat wouldn’t touch it. Reactions on this flavor seem to be kind of mixed across the board, and I saw that starkly between my two cats (they’re also close sisters, which made it weirder that they’d have such polarizing opinions). I decided to sample other flavors and bought the small bag of salmon, which both cats loved. Surprisingly, somehow the salmon flavor convinced my skeptic cat that the duck flavor was also food and now she eats it enthusiastically too! Overall that makes this food and flavor a win, but it took some convincing to get there

My cats love this food!

I purchased multiple flavors of this product for my diabetic cat but haven't opened all of them yet. All 4 of my cats love this food and the switch to low carb food has helped to lower blood sugar for the diabetic cat.
