Not what I was looking for, but they like it better!

By JIdaho on Jul 27, 2021

I was planning to re-order Dr. Elsey's Chicken Recipe, but when it was sold out, I ordered the turkey - because how different could it be? Well, my 2 cats like it even better, and the one who has trouble with the small size of the chicken has an easier time with the slightly larger turkey kibble. So I guess we're having turkey from here on! (I only gave it 4 stars because both of my cats are slightly constipated with both of the Dr. Elsey's recipes we've tried so far. But it's not a big enough problem that I'm looking for a new food.)

    Diabetic Kitty Likes It

By Annie on Jul 19, 2021

Learned about this on the feline diabetes website so ordered some for my diabetic cat. She really likes it. So glad something like this is available for those cats who refuse to eat wet food. I won't give up trying to transition her to wet food, but this is working in the meantime to keep her diabetes regulated. I won't be able to get her off of insulin until she transitions totally.

    Ferret favorite

By Lizz on Jul 27, 2021

I am currently switching my ferrets to this food as it appears to be better than any ferret food for them. Ferrets are notoriously picky eaters, mine included, but they are switching to it better than any other dry food I've tried them on and seem so prefer it over the old food. The ingredients speak for themselves:)

    Kitty prefers chicken...

By skitty on Jul 24, 2021

We love Dr. Elsey's food - keeps his fur shiny and eyes bright. However, you'd think I was killing him when I tried the turkey instead of the chicken (his favorite). He eventually gave in and will tolerate it...

My kitty eats it but not loving it

By Corkee on Jul 10, 2021

I got the chicken 2 pound bag and my Himalayan likes it so I bought the rabbit and the turkey she doesn't like the rabbit at all and the turkey she eats but would prefer the chicken. It's extremely expensive so I can only buy the 2 lb bags at a time

    My Cats Love It

By Niki on Jul 10, 2021

Both of my cats come running when they hear me pouring this food into their bowls. I have to measure and be careful not to give them too much. It is very rich food but in the right quantity it keeps them healthy with shiny coats.

Low carb diet for diabetic cat

By Abby on Jul 7, 2021

Needed food all 10 cats would/could eat that my diabetic cat can have. I gave a 4 star because all 10 cats liked it and have had no upset stomach from it. Would have given 5 stars but very expensive and small bags.

    My cats won't touch it

By Ryan on Jul 13, 2021

Neither of my cats will touch the turkey. One is about 5 year old tabby coat and the other is 2 year old tuxedo. Ita disappointing because I'm stuck with a 40 dollar bag of cat food.

    Where’s The Chicken?

By Momcat on Jun 8, 2021

My cats have loved the chicken version of Dr. Elsey’s dry food, however it hasn’t been available for a while. They’re slowly getting used to it but I might have to switch to another brand for their chicken craving.
