Description

Help your favorite feline get the most out of her meals with Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein wet cat food. Inspired by the nutrients a wild cat would naturally get from her prey, this formula helps your kitty achieve more than just a full belly—it enhances her appetite while delivering the nutrition she needs to thrive. The first ingredient is real rabbit, followed by turkey broth, turkey and eggs, which provide the high levels of protein she'd typically hunt for. Added barley grass contributes extra fiber to her diet and may offer an extra boost to her digestive system. Plus, it's 100 percent grain- and gluten-free—after all, cats wouldn't eat that stuff in the wild! With New Zealand green mussels, salmon oil and added vitamins, this nutrition-packed food helps to fuel your feline's adventures each and every day.

Key Benefits
  • Features real rabbit as the first ingredient to satisfy your carnivore's natural desire for meat.
  • Made without grain or gluten, so it's safe for many sensitive kitties.
  • Includes high-quality protein sources as the first five ingredients.
  • Felines love the smooth, savory pate formula—which naturally adds moisture to their routine!
  • Crafted with real ingredients and added vitamins and minerals, for a healthy meal without fillers.

    bones in the food

    By on

Both my cats used to love this flavor until recently one of my cats would eat half and slowly back away from it. I wondered what was wrong and there was a big sharp piece of bone on the plate. My other cat still eats this happily, but if your cat doesn’t like bones and you don’t have time to pick out all the bone pieces from your cat’s food, I do not recommend this flavor.

    Two Paws Up!!

    By on

Was looking for something more suitable for seniors but still acceptable to the younger crowd. This caught my attention from another website that rates canned cat foods for the lower phosphorous, etc. Held my breath as my 15 years old lady is very finicky with canned foods. She seems very happy with it so far and I'm happy too as I want her to be around for a lot longer. The other two two year-olds - its gone in less than a minute.

    Ok... but not sure

    By on

My cats seem to tolerate this food (does that mean "like" in cat world?). They typically will eat a few bites and leave the rest. They're not always super hearty eaters, so it's hard to tell if they're just not hungry or if they don't like it so much.

    Cat won't eat

    By on

well, this is a downer. Trying what looks to be good food, but our cat does not like it... will think of how to get him to eat or have to give it away.

    Great Food

    By on

Psycho is in early stages of CKD. He also has IBD and cannot have any chicken. I was feeding him Rabbit which he loves but it was higher in phosphorus than I d like for him. When I saw Dr Elsey’s Rabbit and Turkey which was also lower in phosphorus actually 1/2 the amount of his other rabbit food I thought I would give it a try. He loves it and it s also a healthier option for him. Thank you Dr Elsey!

If they would remove the synthetic vitamin K, this would be a great food. Because this is in there, I cannot feed it in good conscience to my cats.

Quality food with paws of approval

    By on

Initial offerings of this flavor was met with mixed reviews by our rabbit loving cats. Now the majority eat it. Our two hold outs will eat this if I use Instinct Limited Ingredient Rabbit topper over the top. Both cats like their gravy and Dr. Elsey’s is a pate with minimal gravy.

    The Name Says It All

    By on

Extremely pleased with this brand of cat food. Excellent reviews on CatFoodDB - considered a superior moist food. High quality protein in a pate formula my three cats devour. The food looks appealing - like clean protein without filler. My cats, all senior, love this food. Cats tested, mom approved!

    Kitty Approved

    By on

I'm so glad to see a rabbit option from Dr. Elsey's. It's a shame that it has a higher price point than the original flavors, but I decided to give it a try and 2 out of my 3 cats are nuts about it, including my diabetic kitty. Like all other flavors, they start getting bored of it after a couple of weeks, so I change it up with the duck, chicken and turkey flavors for variety and it keeps them crying for meal time.
