    Quality blend but no

By Sunbird on Sep 6, 2020

I appreciate the quality of the product and the opportunity to try each flavor. Sadly, nobody eat anything. I don't know what it is but they refuse to eat anything from Dr. Elsey's. Another no for us.

Variety in flavor, not in treatment

    By FurMom16 on Aug 22, 2020

Dr. Elseys is a brand with great ingredients, however, my child appears to not find any of the types of wet food appetizing. Worth a shot if you're looking for a good brand to try but will not be troubled if the food does not work out.

    Great variety

So many choices and not ones you usually see elsewhere. Although my cat has become a picky eater in his older years, he enjoys this variety pack.

    Great quality food

My cats like this food and I like the ingredients in it so we will keep it in the rotation of foods! It is rather expensive but since it's high quality we will continue buying it.

My 6 loved this variety pack!

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

All 6 of my cats absolutely loved every flavor in thIs variety pack. It has a lot of fun flavors. The ingredients are great. It’s a little too pricey for me to feed this to my 6 cats every day. However, I just ordered again. I keep a lot of different brands in the rotation. Feeding this 1-2 meals a week makes it affordable for me. This is the best variety pack I have ordered! So many flavors. I had fun with it!

(Mostly) clean ingredients list, great variety, and good caloric content

    By on

I've recently reverted back to canned cat food instead of homemade prey-model raw due to COVID-related meat shortages and increased prices. My ~6-year-old tabby absolutely loves this food and will leave her bowl nearly spotless. Notably, she even seemed to love the turkey flavors despite usually turning up her nose at turkey by other brands of canned cat food. She was definitely a bit apprehensive about the pork flavor, but eventually decided it was just as good as the others. She's especially obsessed with the Rabbit/Turkey blend, which isn't too surprising given rabbit was her favorite raw food. For the price, Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein foods have a fantastic ingredients list and great macro I've recently reverted back to canned cat food instead of homemade prey-model raw due to COVID-related meat shortages and increased prices. For the price, Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein foods have a fantastic ingredients list and great macro profiles. A 6 oz can contains about 200 calories across all flavors, allowing me to feed less compared to other brands, but it is something to be aware of if you're looking for foods suitable for dieting cats. The one ingredient to be wary of is the artifical Vitamin K, which is found in some of the flavors. Additionally, as some have mentioned, the ash content (by dry weight) trends high for all of the flavors, so this food may not be a good choice for cats with bladder issues. For humans, note this food is especially stinky. I found the pork flavor to be especially pungent. My cat loves it, so I don't mind having to deal with it for meal times. The smell may even entice older kitties. Furthermore, I've found my cat's poop smells a bit less compared to other canned foods despite how smelly the food is when it goes in. All in all, a great no-nonsense food without unnecessary ingredients, plenty of variety, and caloric content. Docked a star for the questionable vitamin K source in some of the flavors and higher ash content. … more

    Good for them!

    By on

The first time I tried this, one cat was still on dry food and did not eat most of the flavors. After switching her over to all wet food the second case was somewhat more acceptable. Next I moved them all to a low carb diet which eliminated many other wet foods brands and the case purchased after that was eagerly consumed. It took shifting their taste buds (slowly) to get them to eat this, but it was well worth the effort. From this I was able to determine their favorite flavors and can buy those from now on.

    My Cat Loved Dr. Elsey's

    By on

I'm going to sound like a fake reviewer but my Norwegian Forest Cat loved every single flavor in this variety pack. With every flavor I put before him, he licked his bowl clean. I couldn't believe it. He had never had duck or rabbit before so I had no idea if he would like those flavors. Assuming that he would only like a couple of the flavors, I made a chart and listed all the flavors so I could keep track of which ones he liked and which ones he didn't so I could order cases of the flavors he liked. I still can't believe he liked all of them. I've had cats my whole life and this has never happened.
