Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

When my kittens were being litter trained, this litter really did attract them to use the box. I only started using it after I was sure the kittens knew the difference between litter and food. Now, I'm still using it, even though the kittens have been adopted away except the one we adopted. It clumps better than other litters, so it's much easier to scoop & it doesn't get dirty small clumps that the scoop can't get so it doesn't have to be changed so often. It controls odor - even my husband stopped complaining about the litter smell. And he's already learned how to take care of it, so when I go out of town, he'll still be able to scoop it. It's expensive, but the non-clumping litter has to get changed twice a week, so all told - the price is about the same.
My cat was seemingly not litter box trained when I got her (though her previous owner swore she was). She had a very difficult introduction to my other cat. It took a very long time for them to become acclimated to each other and then friends. (Followed D. Elsey's advice.) Though she sometimes used the litter box, there were lots of other places she went. Kitten Attract got her to use a litter box, but I've never been able to move her to regular litter. When I changed her to Cat Attract, she became inconsistent again. She loves to dig in Kitten Attract and build a mountain. My other cat leaves this box to my beloved problem child and primarily uses the other two boxes I have for her. What the heck, if it takes an earthy, sandy messy litter to solve a difficult elimination problem. I'm all in. My carpet cleaning company misses me.
I was recommended to start with this litter for a cat that did not use the box. It was an adult cat, but was advised this is better for their tender paws. The litter itself did the job, but the tracking is terrible. It was EVERYWHERE after my cat left the box and it was stuck between her toes. I transitioned quickly to the cat attract (Which has bigger granules.) Overall, the litter works, but make sure you are prepared to clean a lot and wipe your cats paws.
First time buying this from chewy but I have bought this from local stores for a few months now. I have used this since my cat was a baby kitty and is now six months. She has never had an accident and went to the litter box immediately as a baby no prompting. It is crazy but it really does have something that attracts them. Will keep using this, and when my cat gets to one year I will switch to the Cat Attract version.
We adopted 2 kittens and they refused to use the litter box. I read about this product and decided to give it a try. It really worked! The box lasted about a month. Now, they have no problems using the same litter as the other cats and will also use the other litter box if they have to. Thank you so much! Including a picture of the kittens (Bella and Lacey). They are 5 months old now.
My cat has been consistently peeing on the floor for months. I’ve tried every litter imaginable. Well, this is the one. I got this and the problem finally stopped. I have my sanity and clean floors again. I LOVE THIS LITTER!
Too dense and heavy for a kitten. WAY too dusty. My kittens LOVED the smell of it though and got in and out of every litter box at least a million times. Finally, had to trash it. Do yourself a favor and skip this.
At first I was a bit hesitant since it said it has a kitten-specific natural herbal attractant, because everywhere I read from experts say to avoid buying litter with any fragrance added. But I was relieved that it was extremely mild (I can barely smell it unless I shove my nose right up to it), and the kittens enjoy the much finer litter grains (compared to the old Heavy Duty adult cat litter that was rougher and 3x bigger!). From what I see, it does about the same job.
Been having a hard time letter training my 10 week old kitten. She’d go in every corner of my room and outside/next to the litter box. I decided to try this litter as my last hope and although it took her a while to get the idea (about a week), she finally started using the litter box!! Even mama cat started using her litter box to do her business in there. Only gave 4 stars because it is quite dusty so my kitten sneezes sometimes when she’s burying and there’s also lots of tracking. Would definitely recommend this litter!
I was very skeptical about the litter. However, it's a great litter and it's not just for kittens, either. My 7 year old girl kitty and Mom's 4 year old boy kitty love this product. Comes with coupons in each box and bag. It's cheaper than A & H Platinum Slide and is virtually dust free too. I would recommend Dr. Elsey's kitten litter to anyone with a cat. No ridiculous air freshener smells that cats hate. Yea! Excellent!
