Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Litter Box Blues -- Solved!
By 3LittleKittens on Feb 9, 2021
My Violet was having respiratory issues--again, so I wanted unscented litter for her and my other two. My son recommended Dr. Elsey's. It's compact! The 40 lb bag was a little difficult for me to maneuver, but is worth getting a little cart because of how it has helped Violet. I started out by mixing Dr. Elsey's with the litter they had, and they melded well. My girls were a little surprised, but took to it well. I worried about dust. None comes out of their Booda Dome litter box. And they don't track it, either. At first their coats felt a little gritty, but not now. Maybe they rolled in it at first to get acquainted. (?) Horrible cat litter!
By Alisha on Feb 24, 2021
This stuff is absolutely horrible. I bought 4 bags of it when it went on sale to try it out and I am incredibly disappointed. We bought it because our 13 year old cat started pooping outside her litter box in the basement even though we clean all of the boxes morning and night (2 cats, 6 boxes throughout the house). We thought it might help, which it did but this stuff is so gross. The cat pee soaks right down to the bottom of the litter box and clumps there, not on the surface so you are left with scooping out a sticky mess. We keep it at about a 4" depth because of this and even that is not enough, it always seeps down. It also molds! Never again will we buy this litter! … more

Miracle Worker!
By Emily on Feb 7, 2021
We've had our 10 year old cat for about 3 years now and during that time, she's occasionally had issues where she'd pee and poo outside the litter box. We had many conversations with our vet (ruling out health issues) and tried various things. Usually after a month or two, she'd go back to using the litter box. This last time, she was regularly peeing and pooing outside the box for 7 months! We tried EVERYTHING. Finally, I saw an ad for this litter and decided to give it a try. It's been almost 3 weeks and no accidents!! This has saved my carpets and my sanity! The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it is quite dusty. Great Product
By FloridaGigi on Feb 8, 2021
I adopted a feral cat in December. After having him neutered and also surgery to have all his teeth extracted due to a serious disease called Stomatitis, Tooty Ta almost instantly became a housecat. He took to the bed and upholstered furniture, stays indoors more than outside, and is quite affectionate. However, we had trouble with the litter box. I have two other cats and a total of 4 boxes, all with different types of litter. Tooty wouldn't use the boxes. He did his business directly on the garage floor. The second day after filling two of the boxes with Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Attract and the Cat Attract additive, Tooty is using the litter box like a boss! IF YOU PREFER CLUMPING CLAY THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT!
By pewwe on Jan 2, 2021
Recently I’ve been experimenting with different kitty litter and all the pros and cons that go with it. I have 2 boxes one automatic and one covered for my older 8 year old and 8 month old. I bought this litter in the hopes it would be easier to keep clean in the regular cat box. It also mentioned in the description that it was ideal for automatic boxes”IT IS NOT” i should have known better but I tried it and that was a big mistake and a nightmare to clean up. As for the regular covered box I think it’s all about your preference. If you like to scoop big clumps of litter out of the box daily then this litter if for you. It does mask the smell when changed regularly and does not track so much. Recently I’ve been experimenting with different kitty litter and all the pros and cons that go with it. The dustiest litter ever
By Mchow on Jan 28, 2021
The company claims to be 99% dust free, but this is false. It is the dustiest litter I have ever used. After cleaning the litterbox daily I always have a film of dust on my baby head hairs and arm hairs. Also my nose hairs! It also claims to clump very well. At first it did clump nicely, but then after just 2 weeks the clumps would crumble during scooping. In order to get the great clumping this litter needs to be changed out more frequently than previous litters I have used in the past. This means more money you waste. Ong partially good thing about the litter is that it did seem to attract my cat to use the litterbox more reducing his spraying outside the litterbox. It’s a miracle!
By ConB on Feb 16, 2021
Our cat has had litter box issues for months now. We tried several different litters and then went back to her old litter brand. She used the litter box for urine but not for “poop”. I bought Dr Elsey’s litter and from day one she began using her litter box again. I am astonished and so relieved. I heartily recommend this litter and the other tips in the pamphlet that comes with the litter.

Have not noticed a difference so far
By Marcia41 on Feb 15, 2021
A volunteer from the shelter where I adopted a cat last year that is now spraying, suggested this litter. I have not noticed my cats using this litter box more. The litter sticks horribly to my stainless steel litter pay and it is a lot of work to scrape it off. I will keep using it as I want to try to stop the spraying and my senior cat has bladder issues.

Cat Attract Litter
By 3cat1dog2kidmom on Jan 16, 2021
It definitely has no odor, wonderful at hiding odor and is easy to clean because it clumps well. Our cat who was having litter box issues has taken to it and she is using litter boxes consistently with this litter. Down side—and why I took one star away—is it is super heavy, meaning the whole bag...I wouldn’t recommend if it needs to be carried between floors of a home (e.g., multiple litter boxes like I have—we have 3 cats) or needs to be carried into the home anywhere after delivered by Chewy by someone who is elderly or slight. Wish Dr. Elsey could come up with a Cat ATTRACT lightweight formula. ;-) That all said, I will continue to use for its effectiveness, but I also have strong hubby and It definitely has no odor, wonderful at hiding odor and is easy to clean because it clumps well. way way better than I expected
By hen1917 on Jan 14, 2021
Although I don’t know if it’s actually “attracting” my cat to the litter box, we haven’t had any accidents since the switch from Fresh Step. That being said, comparing this to all the litters I’ve used in the past (Fresh Step & Naturally Fresh) this blows them way out of the park. The amount of litter my cat tracks has drastically reduced, Fresh Step was really bad when it came to litter getting everywhere, but Dr. Elsey’s barely makes it past the litter carpet. Odor has also drastically reduced. I added a charcoal air purifier next to the litter box when I also made the switch so it’s possible that could be the key factor in this as well. But a freshly post poop stench is pretty much gone Although I don’t know if it’s actually “attracting” my cat to the litter box, we haven’t had any accidents since the switch from Fresh Step. But a freshly post poop stench is pretty much gone if not entirely. While Fresh Steps clumping is a lot stronger, Dr. Elsey’s is for the most part comparable. The only extremely minor issue is that the clumps can break easier than Fresh Step clumps - which leaves smaller clumps if I’m rough with box cleaning. Other than that, this litter is awesome. Just wish it didn’t come in a bag or that the bag was resealable or something. Packaging in general just needs to be redesigned to make pouring/handling easier. My only complaint is that the boxed litter from Fresh Step was a lot easier to handle than this bag. … more
