It also mentioned in the description that it was ideal for automatic boxes”IT IS NOT” i should have known better but I tried it and that was a big mistake and a nightmare to clean up. As for the regular covered box I think it’s all about your preference. If you like to scoop big clumps of litter out of the box daily then this litter if for you. It does mask the smell when changed regularly and does not track so much. I myself prefer shifting through non clumping litter, picking up only the solids and disposing them directly into the toilet where poop belongs. What works best for me is good old fashioned fresh step mixed with crystals for my regular box and ONLY crystals for the automatic box. I have less smell and clean up to deal with and my precious fur babies are happy! … more

Best Litter Ever
By Char on Feb 22, 2021
Best litter, my cats love it and so do I. I have used it for over 12 years, would not use any other litter.

It’s a miracle!
By ConB on Feb 16, 2021
Our cat has had litter box issues for months now. We tried several different litters and then went back to her old litter brand. She used the litter box for urine but not for “poop”. I bought Dr Elsey’s litter and from day one she began using her litter box again. I am astonished and so relieved. I heartily recommend this litter and the other tips in the pamphlet that comes with the litter.

Have not noticed a difference so far
By Marcia41 on Feb 15, 2021
A volunteer from the shelter where I adopted a cat last year that is now spraying, suggested this litter. I have not noticed my cats using this litter box more. The litter sticks horribly to my stainless steel litter pay and it is a lot of work to scrape it off. I will keep using it as I want to try to stop the spraying and my senior cat has bladder issues.

Only litter i use
By Mimismom on Feb 15, 2021
Mimi had urinating issues upon adoption and this is the litter that helped solve it. I stick with it as it works for us. I fully exchange each box on a monthly basis

Great litter!
By Twiggy on Feb 15, 2021
This is a great litter! Clumps well and easy to clean. It's quite pricey though, so I'd recommend switching to the regular Dr. Elsey's clay litter once your cat learns to use the litter box. Overall great!

Pretty good
By Linaa on Feb 13, 2021
My cats immediately went into their box. The smell attracted them easily. The clumpiness of the litter was awful. You can't use it more than 2 days without needing to throw it out. And it sticks to the litter box. The price might keep us from buying it.

Great Product

I adopted a feral cat in December. After having him neutered and also surgery to have all his teeth extracted due to a serious disease called Stomatitis, Tooty Ta almost instantly became a housecat. He took to the bed and upholstered furniture, stays indoors more than outside, and is quite affectionate. However, we had trouble with the litter box. I have two other cats and a total of 4 boxes, all with different types of litter. Tooty wouldn't use the boxes. He did his business directly on the garage floor. The second day after filling two of the boxes with Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Attract and the Cat Attract additive, Tooty is using the litter box like a boss!
