It definitely has no odor, wonderful at hiding odor and is easy to clean because it clumps well. Wish Dr. Elsey could come up with a Cat ATTRACT lightweight formula. ;-) That all said, I will continue to use for its effectiveness, but I also have strong hubby and kiddos to carry it for me … more

It also mentioned in the description that it was ideal for automatic boxes”IT IS NOT” i should have known better but I tried it and that was a big mistake and a nightmare to clean up. As for the regular covered box I think it’s all about your preference. If you like to scoop big clumps of litter out of the box daily then this litter if for you. It does mask the smell when changed regularly and does not track so much. I myself prefer shifting through non clumping litter, picking up only the solids and disposing them directly into the toilet where poop belongs. What works best for me is good old fashioned fresh step mixed with crystals for my regular box and ONLY crystals for the automatic box. I have less smell and clean up to deal with and my precious fur babies are happy! … more

way way better than I expected

Although I don’t know if it’s actually “attracting” my cat to the litter box, we haven’t had any accidents since the switch from Fresh Step. That being said, comparing this to all the litters I’ve used in the past (Fresh Step & Naturally Fresh) this blows them way out of the park. The amount of litter my cat tracks has drastically reduced, Fresh Step was really bad when it came to litter getting everywhere, but Dr. Elsey’s barely makes it past the litter carpet. Odor has also drastically reduced. I added a charcoal air purifier next to the litter box when I also made the switch so it’s possible that could be the key factor in this as well. But a freshly post poop stench is pretty much gone Although I don’t know if it’s actually “attracting” my cat to the litter box, we haven’t had any accidents since the switch from Fresh Step. But a freshly post poop stench is pretty much gone if not entirely. While Fresh Steps clumping is a lot stronger, Dr. Elsey’s is for the most part comparable. The only extremely minor issue is that the clumps can break easier than Fresh Step clumps - which leaves smaller clumps if I’m rough with box cleaning. Other than that, this litter is awesome. Just wish it didn’t come in a bag or that the bag was resealable or something. Packaging in general just needs to be redesigned to make pouring/handling easier. My only complaint is that the boxed litter from Fresh Step was a lot easier to handle than this bag. … more

I got this for my problem cat , she is the youngest of 16(YES 16 ) and likes to pee on my couch , thinking this would get her to stop .. Nope ,not unless she is the first one to use the litter box , once anyone goes , she wont use . The fact that everyone uses it and i have 5 liter boxes ( 4 now stay clean ) .

Not a cure all for my problem kitty but this litter is surprisingly self-deodorizing!

Getting control
By CatParent on Jan 11, 2021
We recently had one of our three cats go through a serious skin issue. It was very hard on her and may have upset the other two cats. As we struggled to help her, we started to have a problem with litter box use. We found several "accidents", which had not been a problem before. While the vet worked to aid our distressed girl, Dr Esley's Cat Attract help get everyone back to the litter box. It was immediately effective. Everyone is back to normal and we are dedicated Dr Esley customers as a result.

All I did was add small amount into cat litter box with regular clumping I already use and both cats are loving it! No need to use only this at all, great purchase!

Cat Attract Rocks!
By Kate on Jan 10, 2021
A few years ago one of my kitties stopped using her litter box and my local pet store guru recommended Cat Attract. The new litter worked like a miracle! I see that Dr. Esley's now has multiple versions of kitty litter as well, many of which are available at Chewy!

Liter really helped, the abandoned, homeless cat that I helped to rehome, begin to use a liter box, so that she could have a happy, safe, warm, loving home, at last.

My male cat was pooping outside of the cat box. After using this he now goes into the litter box.
