My 10 year old miss priss tabby has always been an anxious feline. We have struggled with litter box issues with her for quite some time but the past 5-6 months she has consistently missed her box. Medically speaking, there has been no known causes for it BUT, her environment has changed. We welcomed My 10 year old miss priss tabby has always been an anxious feline. We have struggled with litter box issues with her for quite some time but the past 5-6 months she has consistently missed her box. Medically speaking, there has been no known causes for it BUT, her environment has changed. We welcomed our baby girl almost a year ago. After adding medicated diet, daily medication to potentially ease her anxiety, the Feliway diffuser system, litter box and litter change, all the lab work you could think of, nothing told us why and what. I picked this litter up just a week ago, CONSIST positive results! Soooo sooooo pleased!! … more

Always smells poopy and is dusty

By Kristey on Nov 13, 2020

My roommate and I have three cats and they all seemed attracted to the "cat attract" within the litter. But from the very first box I noticed that the litter does not absorb the smell of cat poop. While cat pee doesn't smell (which is something it has over other litters), the box always smells like poop My roommate and I have three cats and they all seemed attracted to the "cat attract" within the litter. But from the very first box I noticed that the litter does not absorb the smell of cat poop. While cat pee doesn't smell (which is something it has over other litters), the box always smells like poop. Even after replacing all of the litter in the box, cat attract litter will invariably smell like poop again with two or three days, regardless of the frequency of scooping. Even with litter deodorizer and a carbon filter, it still smells. I've tried everything. The cat attract litter is super dusty and it gets stuck on my cat's paws. She hates that, so if she uses the litterbox in the middle of the night, I get woken up by her wiping her paws against the side of the box for about 10 minutes. Pieces of litter and litter dust also ends up getting tracked everywhere, rather than just sticking to the litter mat. During the day I notice she cleans between her toes when she emerges, so she has to ingest some of the clay to get it off her paws. It is really bad for them to eat clay litter (because it expands after contact with fluids) so I wasn't thrilled about this. I'm going back to using a corn-based litter that is flushable and covers smells much better. I never had the tracking issues as with this litter so am looking forward to having clean floors again. … more
