What is the difference between the long haired silica gel litter, the senior silica gel litter and the respiratory relief silica gel litter?

The Senior Litter is a small particle silica litter that is infused with hydrolyzed herbs to draw cats to the litter box. The small particles give it a soft texture, which is ideal for older cats or those with sensitive paws. The Long Haired Litter is not as fine as Senior and won’t adhere to the cat’s coat. It is also infused with hydrolyzed herbs to draw cats to the box. The Respiratory Relief is infused with stress-reducing herbal essences, which can be an important factor in controlling Feline Respiratory Disease. All Dr. Elsey's silica formulas are low dust, non-toxic and hypo-allergenic and do not contain perfumes, deodorants, perfumes or plant proteins.
WhT is the difference between this Long Hair Litter and Dr.Elseys respiratory relief?

The Long Haired Litter is made specifically for cat's with long fur. It will not adhere to the cat’s long fur and it will not color the coat. The Respiratory Relief Clumping Clay Litter helps control respiratory disease in cats because it is low in dust and hypo-allergenic with no plant proteins, perfumes or deodorants.
Is this litter flushable?

This cat litter should not be flushed in toilets or disposed of outdoors in gutters or storm drains.
Do you need the pee pads since it is non clumping?

It's not recommend to use a pee pad with this litter.

Stinky, dusty, and the cats won't have it

This litter does not block the smell of waste well at all, and every time I scoop it, clouds of dust billow up. It tracks like CRAZY and one of the cats keeps pooping on the floor in front of the bin to tell us how he feels about it. Back to tried and true cat attract!

Definitely note as good as Pretty Litter brand

I was hopeful this product would work. The price point is much more reasonable than the #1 selling brand. But unfortunately, my cats did not like. Plus, the litter is larger granules so i didn't think it worked as well on the odor.

Perfectly Fresh Litter

This litter is amazing. Rather than clumping, this crisp, white litter seems to absorb the urine so that after a few weeks, the white becomes a little off-white, which is when you need to replace it. In the meantime, there's no need to do anything more than stir it; there are no odors, it's simply miraculous. My cat (spoiled little girl that she is) has two litter boxes so she seldom poops in this litter. If she does, it is easy to scoop out. Dr. Elsey's company creates wonderful products that help keep the house fresh and clean, regardless of cats and their litter boxes!

Great litter

I tried Dr. Elsey's litter after using Pretty Litter for 2 months. I like this so much more than the Pretty Litter brand and will continue to order it. The crystals are larger and it does a better job of controlling the smell from my cat's litter box. My cat likes it too.

This Stuff Rules...mostly!

This litter is incredible-- I wanted to try this to see if it would be a good substitute for PL, which is $7-8 more per bag. It performs well! It dries out fecal matter quickly and even seems more absorbent to me. I live in an apartment with multiple cats and you wouldn't be able to smell that they live here! I'd give this five stars, but there's a pretty big caveat that is going to keep me from purchasing this again personally. One of my cats was recently diagnosed with asthma and the dust this brand produces just isn't friendly to our situation-- if your cat doesn't have litter/dust sensitivities this stuff is a great option, but for us, we're unfortunately back to Pretty Litter!

This product was awful

We have been using Fresh Step Crystals but it was out of stock. We decided to just try this product until Fresh Step came back into stock. Urine was not absorbed well - left smelly mushy mess that stuck to the box and was next to impossible to clean box.

not the same

we used the long haired litter for years and loved it. tried the senior one when long hair was discontinued, it's sooooooo dusty. tried this one and it's the same!! they say this replaced the long haired one but I can't imagine how, they're different and the new formulas are so much dustier. this was our go to litter for years and I have tried everything else in the crystal category, I can't find anything comparable to the long hair formula. not sure what my cats are going to do but super disappointed with Dr elsey's decisions on this, we miss the old stuff
