Bad reviews must not be using enough litter

By Ruben on Jan 13, 2021

This is the only litter I use. I’ve been using it for nearly five years and it is consistent every time. It is dust free. Truly, truly dust free! It’s amazing. I’ve tried other “low dust” or “dust free” litters before and I had to constantly sweep up dust and keep asthma attacks at bay while changing the litter. It stops odors. Even if you miss scooping for a couple days, it still has no odor... and I mean NO odor! Our litter box is in the main living area of our house and we never smell it. It’s incredible. What happened to Elsey’s?

By Letterblair on Jan 9, 2021

Dr. Elsey’s Ultra, once upon a time, was a great product. Now it’s changed somewhat dramatically. Previously it was low on dust and the pieces of clay were not uncomfortable when they “escaped” and you stepped on them. That’s changed. Now there is much higher dust level and the individual clay pieces Dr. Elsey’s Ultra, once upon a time, was a great product. Now it’s changed somewhat dramatically. Previously it was low on dust and the pieces of clay were not uncomfortable when they “escaped” and you stepped on them. That’s changed. Now there is much higher dust level and the individual clay pieces are much larger. Clumping is still acceptable, but the larger size pebbles seem to stick in the cats’ paws more easily, making a large scatter on the floor near the litter container. I complained to Elsey’s but haven’t got a response yet. This was a favorite product but got changed and I am not recommending it. … more
