This is the only litter I use. I’ve been using it for nearly five years and it is consistent every time. It is dust free. Truly, truly dust free! It’s amazing. Even if you miss scooping for a couple days, it still has no odor... and I mean NO odor! Our litter box is in the main living area of our house and we never smell it. It’s incredible. It clumps like no other litter I’ve tried—BUT—you MUST keep this litter very deep. We keep it about 4” deep. It clumps the urine fairly instantly but if it’s not deep enough, the urine will be cemented to the bottom of the box. I almost broke a litter scoop trying to scrape it loose. As long as it’s deep enough, there’s no issues. People complaining that the clumps are mushy: they are scooping too soon and not allowing the clump to harden. The litter can’t immediately soak up all liquid and turn into a hard ball in three seconds. Speaking of processes in general, things take time. … more

Dr. Elsey’s Ultra, once upon a time, was a great product. Now it’s changed somewhat dramatically. Previously it was low on dust and the pieces of clay were not uncomfortable when they “escaped” and you stepped on them. That’s changed. Now there is much higher dust level and the individual clay pieces Dr. Elsey’s Ultra, once upon a time, was a great product. Now it’s changed somewhat dramatically. Previously it was low on dust and the pieces of clay were not uncomfortable when they “escaped” and you stepped on them. That’s changed. Now there is much higher dust level and the individual clay pieces are much larger. Clumping is still acceptable, but the larger size pebbles seem to stick in the cats’ paws more easily, making a large scatter on the floor near the litter container. I complained to Elsey’s but haven’t got a response yet. This was a favorite product but got changed and I am not recommending it. … more

Fav Litter
By Kate on Jan 17, 2021
I HATE the cat litter smell. This litter has virtually no sent, if it starts to smell its time to replace it. It’s also less dusty than other cat litters I’ve tried. My cats do track it out of the box but I haven’t found a solution to that problem and don’t fault the litter. I have bought this litter for years and will continue to purchase. Great product!

Best cat litter!
By Nococatmama on Jan 17, 2021
Dr Elsey's cat litter in my opinion is the best! It's low dust and the unscented type works best for me - I don't care for scented litter - nor do my cat dudes!

Not sure if I'd recommend
By Jrrrrr on Jan 15, 2021
I am not sure if I would actually recommend this particular litter. Says low tracking but I surely still had this tracked as much as any other litter I have tried. Still stank. Yes i scooped daily as if you don't it because a whole solid unusable clump. Wasn't the worst litter I have ever tried but it surely was not the best.

why all the hype?
By Noah on Jan 14, 2021
just another clay, clumping litter. but even the brand-name clay litters do a better job at making the litter box not smell like peepee and poopoo

My medium and long haired cats both love this litter. Every time i try them on a different one they always preferred this one so i stick with it now.

Would make great cement

I will never order this again. It sets up so hard I struggled to get it scooped out of the litter box. Then once I did, it was hard to even wash it out.

Dr. Elsey’s CatLitter
By KittyHouse on Jan 13, 2021
A friend of mine recently lost their loved one and gave me this cat litter. I’ve been looking for a dust free cat litter since I have four cats and six cat litter boxes. My only concern is that I’ll have problems with shipping due to the weight.

Can't Smell a Thing!
By newcatowner on Jan 13, 2021
This is the only litter I've ever used (I'm a first time cat owner), but I can't see myself getting any other type. As long as I keep my larger litter box filled up 3-4 inches, there are no problems with this clumping the litter, keeping everything nice and clean. I also don't smell anything. It's been a couple weeks (I put in fresh litter every couple of days, whenever the level goes down a bit), and I can't smell anything once empty. Even when fresh pee is in the box, I can't smell it either!

Hands down best litter
By Skylar on Jan 13, 2021
I used to use Arm&Hammer, but due to the pandemic I needed something with a better price. I googled around and came across this litter. I have 2 cats(male&female) and this is hands down the best litter I've ever used. There's no smell at all until you clean the litter box, even after almost a week-zero smell until you clean. This is hands down the best litter with the best price. I can't recommend this litter enough.
