    Not sure yet

This brand was recommended. Seems to be good so far. My dogs like it. My only concern is the first bag I received, the food had a green tint to it and smelled alot like celery. (My dogs gobbled that bag up) Now the second bag, the food is brown and smells like plain dog food. (One dog won't eat it) It's concerning that each batch can be so different. I still like this brand though and I will continue. May try other best breed foods. My dogs really like Royal Canin but they are gaining alot of weight and ingredients aren't that good. Plus one of our bags of Royal Canin had completely different food (size, color, shape, smell) in it. Not good.

    Trusted ingredients

    By on

After making my own dogfood, I realized my pups needed kibble for better teeth cleaning. This has everything I had wanted to be in their diet. Wholesome and clean and no urinary issues or all the added salt from prescription foods. We have a diverse group and they're all doing great.

    Rascal’s Fav

    By on

It took several vet visits over Rascals first 7 yrs of allergies and brand changes when our local pet food store recommended we try this brand and type of food on him. This particular food omits a couple ingredients he was allergic to the vets couldn’t put their finger on. Within 3 weeks the hair on his feet grew in and he quit licking on them. No more allergy shots! We have one happy Pug!!!

    Dogs' Favorite Food

    By on

We have used the Dr. Gary's Best Breed food for a few years now, ever since it was recommended to us by a trainer. Our first dog had issues with another food and it took us months to figure out that it was his food. Neither of our dogs have issues with this food, and they jump up and down when it's time to eat. Our favorite way to serve is to mix various flavors of Dr. Gary's Best Breed foods in a large container and add a bit of warm water to their food bowls during serving. It's a bit pricey, but we are happy with this food.

    My dog loves it

We switched from puppy food to this dog food recently and my goldendoodle LOVES it. She had slowed down on her eating but now is ready for it when it hits the bowl.

    Awww, shucks!

    By on

After a friend recently told me that Hill's Ideal Balance was being discontinued, I researched the "best" kibble dog foods. Dr. Gary's Best Breed sounded wonderful, so I bought the smallest size for my Cavalier King Charles. Unfortunately, Guinness hates it! So it's back to the drawing board to find a kibble he will nibble...

Worked wonders for my sensitive eaters!

    By on

I originally discovered this brand at a Horse Expo through a sales rep at a booth. I have one pup with over 25 allergies including corn, rice, pork, salmon, potatoes, soy, and more. Lol. The perfect mixture to make it difficult and expensive to find a brand that fit all of his requirements. But this food did and I was able to save money per pound of food compared to the one option we had prior that was being retired, leaving us with nothing. I found this brand at the perfect time. I also adopted an emaciated rescue about a year ago and she started having food sensitivities to everything I tried within a few months of having her, while I was attempting to conserve money and not feed her this I originally discovered this brand at a Horse Expo through a sales rep at a booth. I also adopted an emaciated rescue about a year ago and she started having food sensitivities to everything I tried within a few months of having her, while I was attempting to conserve money and not feed her this brand. I didn’t get her allergy tested but assumed she had some allergies/sensitivities based on how she was reacting to her foods, just like my other pup did. I switched her to this food as well and she is building muscle back and her coat is gleaming. She LOVES it just as much as my boy, they dance and drool when it’s time to eat. It’s worth it and is still more affordable than comparable limited ingredient brands. Both of my pups had rashes and patches of hair missing prior to switching, and both have cleared up significantly. Both are current with the vet and other issues were ruled out, so I really do thank Best Breeds for offering this food as it has made my pups much more comfortable. … more
