Dogs love, but zero customer support
By MyDogsMom on Jan 20, 2021
We tried Dr. Gary's Best Breed Holistic Puppy Diet Dry Dog Food for our Golden Retriever when he was a puppy. He loved it so much that we still use it as a training treat (he's now 18 months old). But even though he loved it, we did not continue using it as a daily food because of the non-existent customer support from the manufacturer. I emailed telling them how much our puppy loved the food and asking a question about it. No one ever responded to my email. I could have accepted this better if it was a large, impersonal manufacturer. But I expected better customer service from a small company. I didn't feel assured that I would get good support from this company if I ever had an issue, We tried Dr. Gary's Best Breed Holistic Puppy Diet Dry Dog Food for our Golden Retriever when he was a puppy. Pup thinks it’s Yucky
By Cindy on Jan 1, 2021
My puppy was not eating enough food. Breeder feed & recommended this food. Brought the pup home at 8 weeks. He really had no interest in eating. Started to get thinner then a puppy should be & weight was behind at 12 weeks. German shepherd. Should be 25 - 30 lbs. he’s only 23 lbs. I started putting canned food mixed with warm water to get him to eat it. I’m changing food.

A hit with Echo too
By RubyJoyce on Feb 18, 2021
We ordered this food because our puppy had been eating it, but it must be really delicious because it smells like fish and our picky older dog really wants to eat it too. (Of course, she gets a little as a treat :)

First Love No More

My puppy won't eat it no more, not even with toppers. And now I have two 30 pound bags. I trust this product, but unfortunately puppy turns her nose to it

Why is the kibble a different size
By AngelaE on Aug 12, 2020
I tried many foods and my picky puppy likes this food. I bought two 4lb bags and she ate both so I bought the 30lb bag. The 30lb bag kibble is twice the size that was in the 4lb bags. Just curious as to why...

. Dr. Gary's Puppy food
By LeeJo on Jun 11, 2020
My 10 week GS puppy loves the food. She eats it dry, but likes a little warm water mixed with it. She has been on the food for 2 weeks and looks super healthy. She has had only 1 loose stool and that was the first bowl. I'm thinking about changing our 4 yr old Male GS over and see if he likes it. He's on good food, but I think this is better.

Not for us
By Xada on Mar 16, 2020
I've fed my 5 month old German Shepherd Dr. Garys Best Breed Puppy food since she was born. This is the food that she was on when we got her at 8 weeks old. She has had diarrhea for months. After multiple vet visits and a clear bill of health, the vet recommended we switch her food. I recently switched her food and the diarrhea is gone. I won't knock the brand, it just wasn't for us. She never really seemed too excited to eat it either. Now that I've switched her food, she scarfs it down at each feeding.

very loose stool
By Mazie on May 20, 2020
We were using this upon recommendation by our breeder. However she has very loose stool until we got her off of this. And this is what the breeder was giving her.

We have transitioned to this food for over 2 weeks now and our Lab still have loose stools. I wouldn’t recommend this food.

Puppy health
By Bigdoglover on Mar 28, 2020
I know this is a wonderful product and my large puppy loves it as he would most food, however the amount needed to keep his bones healthy is a lot.
