  • Great Alternative to Fresh

    By on

I try to use fresh vegetables for my dog but when I'm in a rush or don't have fresh in the house Dr.Harveys is just a wonderful alternative. Easy to use and you can tell just looking at it that every thing is first rate dried vegetables. I like and and so does my dog.

  • Looks and smells good.

For anyone who wants to make the switch to feeding their pup homemade food, this is what you need. It is so simple. I make up a batch for a few days and put it in the refrigerator, my pugs have no idea what patience is when it comes to feeding time. All you have to add is your own meat and oil. It smells like you just opened a vegetable soup packet. And looks like something you would want to add to jazz up some meatloaf. I also feel good about this as it not on any recall lists. Give it a try. Your pup will thank you for it.

So easy to prepare and Dakota loves it. The only reason I have to wash her bowl is because I know she just ate out of it! Not a drop left behind!

  • Good supplement, except for the potatoes and lecithin

    By on

This food is rated just 3 stars because it contains potatoes and lecithin...the potatoes is listed as the third ingredient, which means it's pretty prevalent in the food. Sweet potatoes are fine, they are nutritious. Potatoes are not biologically appropriate for dogs, and add no nutritional value...adds too many carbs which contributes to obesity. Potatoes are just a cheap filler to add more weight to the food. If the Dr. Harvey company would eliminate the potatoes, this would be a 5-star supplement.

  • great flavor and easy transtion

for 9 years my 80 lb border collie/shepherd mix was on prescription dog kibble to treat vaguely diagnosed stomach sensitivity since she was prone to stomach upset. After her last annual stomach issue that required antiobiotics, we decided to transition slowly to a new kibble and mixed with half dr.harveys. Diggs loves the food, 1/2 kibble/harvey morning and night feeding with half cup of kibble mid afternoon avoids the vomit due to long time between feedings. She has 2 poops a day which was a revelation since she seldom had a normal poop...i didnt know what normal poop looked like till she transitioned to this food. She is playful and happy again and i share this as you shouldnt give up finding for 9 years my 80 lb border collie/shepherd mix was on prescription dog kibble to treat vaguely diagnosed stomach sensitivity since she was prone to stomach upset. I use the natures recipe grain free pumpin/chicken/sweet potato kibble and this diet has been successful since started in jan. 2017, 4 months....i wish you all with sickly dogs, senior dogs, to try it....it makes a life changing difference. … more

  • great for all dogs

    By on

I have a little yorkie that had horrible food allergies. Even though I fed her good quality food she still itched and chewed at herself. Always on medications. I gave her this food and she is doing great on it. Her coat is thicker and no more chewing. I recommend it to all my grooming customers that have dogs with the same problems.

  • My dogs love their veggies!

    By on

I have used another pre-mix in the past, and my dogs turned up their noses at it. With Veg to Bowl, even the pickiest eater licks his bowl clean. I feel good about feeding them vegetables with their kibble, but think it would also be good if you fed a raw diet, or you cooked a protein for your dogs. I just ordered my second bag of Veg to Bowl. Certainly do not want to run out.

  • Skin issue

    By on

Our dog has had issues with her skin from dry food. Using Dr. Harvey's food we have noticed a definite difference in her. We add olive or salmon oil to the food as well as the protein. She absolutely loves it.
