Feeding Instructions

Preparing a homemade meal for your dog takes just minutes a day and it’s really easy to do.

  • Step 1 - Add Oracle to your dog’s bowl. Shake the bag to distribute food evenly. Measure the appropriate amount of dry food (see feeding chart on bag) and add it to your dog’s bowl. Feeding amounts are only general guidelines. Individual requirements will vary depending upon factors such as metabolism, daily activity, breed, health, genetics, and environment.

  • Step 2 - Add hot water to Oracle. Measure the appropriate amount of hot water (see feeding chart on bag) and add it to the dry food. Let sit for 10 - 15 minutes or until the food has absorbed the water and has the consistency of oatmeal. You can add more or less water to change the consistency depending on your dog’s preference.

  • Step 3 - Watch a happy and healthy dog eat. Serve at room temperature. Always make sure your companion dog has fresh, clean water to drink.

My cat likes most of the commercial freeze- dried raw foods but he wasn't thrilled with this one. The formula doesn't reconstitute well; it becomes this thick, cement-like paste. Even when I added more water, it still was too thick. I can't recommend this product.

I like the small trial sizes. Unfortunately the house cats wouldn't touch it. Took it to the feral cats outside, not a bite eaten. Pretty bad when wild hungry animals won't touch.

  • I tried this but won't order anymore.

I have never tried the freeze dried foods, have only heard about them. My cat would not eat this, and I can't blame him, it smelled awful, and did not look to appealing either. I am not saying it is a bad product, but just not the one for me or my cat.

neither cat would have anything to do with this. I even put it in the food processor to see if they would eat it blended and the still refused it.

  • My boy loves this!

You should see my boy gobble this down! The 1st time I gave it to him, he was a little hesitant but after a few bites, he was happy. He went back to his bowl several times until it was completely finished. It completely satisfies him- which is no easy thing! I give this to him at night and while it is re-hydrating in the bowl, he cruises the counter staring at it. I make sure I bring the water to a boil & let it sit a full 15 mins with a bowl over the top so it can steep. Sometimes I have to put an ice cube in it just to cool it down because he can't wait! We're ordering our 2nd bag. I didn't have much luck in the past when I tried to feed him a raw food pre-made (& frozen) from a premium company You should see my boy gobble this down! He'll eat just plain raw meat, but I feel its important that his meal is balanced so I opted for Dr. Harvey's. I'm delighted! Wish I could get other kitty to go for it but he is major picky. … more

  • Did Not Hydrate

This product is awful. I bought this sample to try and followed the instructions for hydrating with water. Well, even after 45 mins, this was still all watery with hard chunks of chicken meat. What a waste.
