  • Sensitive Labrador

I have a 12 year old lab with a seizure disorder. He is very chemically sensitive and even the wrong shampoo can trigger a seizure so I have to be very careful what I use on him. He has allergic reactions that cause him to break out in rashes and hotspots. Dr. Harvey's works wonderfully on him heals the rash and the hot spots and gives him instant relief from the itching.

  • Seems to work but hard to apply

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Seems to work but its hard to get it to stick once applied to the dogs wound. Doesn't spread very well but I would buy it again and I would recommend it. Organic is always good when it comes to my dogs.

  • Works but not a great odor

We bought this cream for Pepper's paws which have gotten a little dry due to winter's lack of moisture and circulated heat/air. It is quite hard as others have mentioned. The consistency might be compared to chapstick or even coconut oil. The odor is not very pleasant. I believe the addition of rosemary gives it a decidedly cat urine smell. I gave it two stars because we got it for Pepper not for us. Pep isn't turned off by the odor at all, nor does she react as though it smells of cat urine. She doesn't mind the application to her paws and in fact decided it was a little tasty. (She immediately began to lick it off.) Her paws are much less dry so I suppose it works, but I can't yet speak We bought this cream for Pepper's paws which have gotten a little dry due to winter's lack of moisture and circulated heat/air. Though the natural ingredients would likely be safe for humans it certainly doesn't suit my taste. But Pepper says it'll do. … more

it didn't really do anything but cover the skin/wound it didn't help with the healing, but helped with the dry scabs and my dog didn't like the smell.

  • Healing cream

    By on

Tried this on my cat's neck. He had been scratching so much there was a very raw spot. He is NOT a cat you can apply any medication to and so it was not easy getting him to let me put it on him. I liked the scent but Max could smell it as soon as I came into the room. I did manage to apply it a few times and the area completely cleared up. I would have given it a 5 rating except for the consistency of the cream. It was on the "hard" side and did not spread very easy. On a cat like Max having a softer, creamier consistency would have been better.

  • Helps Heal

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Even though it's called healing "cream", it's more of a healing balm, and heal it does! I need to warm it up a little in my hands before applying it (it will turn liquidy like coconut oil), but it has helped soothe sunburn, bug bites, scrapes, scratches, and moisturize dry cracked paw pads and noses. We've tried MANY lotions and balms in the past. This is the first one that's made of natural, high quality ingredients that we like. I took off one star because it seems like a very high price for the amount of product you get.

  • Works well!

    By on

I bought this because our foster puppy had a little skin infection that was itchy and she’s chewed the hair away. I began rubbing this onto the spot once a day- right before bed. She seemed to rather enjoy it and it smells great- like dried herbs. The spot cleared up with just a couple days. It was great! Yes, this stuff is more solid than creamy. Think coconut oil- it’s solid at room temp but melts on your hands. I was very pleased all around!

  • Goes bad quickly

This didn't work at all on my pet. Good thing we didn't need to use it again since it developed mold/mildew in it after the first application. A big waste of money.

  • Love this cream

    By on

Our German Shepherd was experiencing some skin irritation or "hot spots" under his armpits, and it seemed painful to him if accidentally grazed. I got him this for Christmas and have been putting it on at least every other day, and it already seems to be making a noticeable difference. He seems to be comfortable and appreciative and we are happy :D
