Description

Help support a calm, relaxed disposition in your dog with Dr. Lyon’s Calming Aid Soft Chews. Bringing the wisdom of nature together with guidance from science, Dr. Lyon’s supplements are formulated to nourish the potential for wellness within your dog. This formula contains melatonin, a naturally occurring hormone your dog’s body already makes, to help promote rest and relaxation without a sedating effect. Vitamin B, or thiamine, along with l-tryptophan, a natural amino acid, work to foster a sense of calm. An infusion of chamomile and tummy-friendly ginger helps round out the formula’s mellow vibe. To help pups keep their cool, give these soft chews in times of potential stressors, which may include traveling, loud noises like thunderstorms, going to the groomers, or when meeting new people and encountering new environments. Since they’re made with naturally irresistible chicken liver, dogs think they’re just getting a mouthwatering reward. Soft and chewy, they’re easy to break up so you can get the right dose for your pup.

    Didn’t work for me.

    By on

These smell atrocious, they legit smell like cat urine. I could overlook the smell of my dog would choke one down, but she refuses. I can’t blame her. I forced one down her throat by sheer cunning and trickery, also via pill pockets, but not sure it was enough to be able to tell if it worked.

    Help for an older dog

    By on

This is truly a calming aid! Typically I am not a review writer, but this product really helps. We have a nearly 15 year old Shiba Inu experiencing some sort of night anxiety. After being up many times through the night and with no one getting any rest night after night, the whole household was exhausted. I found this product on Chewy and pressed the buy button! He is sleeping through the night and we are all grateful. Shibas tend to be picky eaters but he takes 2 tablets in some cheese no problem. (Wt 29 lbs). He also is having less night accidents, in fact no night accidents. This is an unexpected unexplained benefit!

    Just what my dogs need!

I have a 2 year old female Pitbull mix and recently rescued an 8 month old male Pitbull mix. My female went through the normal anxiety and stress of bringing another dog in the house and instigated a few arguments with her new brother. We were advised to get some sort of calming supplement to help take the edge off and keep her more relaxed. For her weight she falls in the category of 3 pills a day, and I have seen a difference just giving her one pill! I actually haven’t tried to give her more than one pill in 24 hours yet because the one pill is perfect so far to settle her down and take the edge off. Can’t wait to try more products from this brand! … more

Have tried another, but this seems to work better...

    By on

My almost-a-year-old pup is high energy and high anxiety, too. Her trainer suggested trying a calming agent, and this one works relatively well. Calms the pup, but doesn’t turn her into a zombie. The flavor is apparently pleasing to her, and she takes it as a treat willingly. Expensive but worth it.

    Amazing product!

    By on

I have tried several calming" treats with no luck. These are wonderful and work quickly. Some of the others I have tried even seemed to make her more hyper. My dog is a 70 lb. German Shepherd mix and is 10 months old. I would definitely recommend trying these!

There is no way for me to know if this product actually works because my dogs refuse to eat them.

    Dr. Lyon's Calming Supplement

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have a senior pup that has anxiety quite often - storms, whenever we're away for more than a day, loud noises, too many people over, ect. She would always get up and pace around and never relax, however, since starting the Dr. Lyons, she's able to relax and really get comfortable. #ChewyTeamRated

    Calm During the Storm

    By on

I wish I could say Miami's scattered showers were few and far between, but they aren't. Luckily I had these treats handy during our last few showers, as my shih-tzu Sassy can't stand the sound of the rain. In about 30 mins, she was in her bed fast asleep. #ChewyTeamRated

    First time using....

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I wasn't sure what to expect. Our female is still uber hyper when we come home (I don't think that'll ever change), but she doesn't bark and cry anymore when we leave so I'll take it as a win. #ChewyTeamRated

    Helpful for my barky pup

My 7 year old Rhodesian often overreacts to sounds and smells from outside while she’s inside. These seem to help her feel more relaxed and I’m grateful. #ChewyTeamRated
