Give your dog the medications he needs in a form he will enjoy with Dr. Lyon’s Pill Pouches. Made with a natural chicken flavor and a soft and chewy texture dogs love, these pill-hiding treats are crafted to hold pills of most sizes inside—including tablets and capsules—as well as conceal the medicine’s flavor and aroma. That means your pal can actually look forward to taking his medications, because they’re cleverly concealed inside a tasty, chewy treat. They’re easy to use in three simple steps—just insert the pill inside, squeeze both ends to seal and then give as a delicious reward. Plus, they’re great for dogs of any size and age, and come in an easy-to-store tub that maintains their freshness.

Dogs Hated
By Zoiebirdcatchergirl on Jul 13, 2019
Got these on a special and thought we’d give them a try! Neither dog would eat them and they were so hard coming out of the sealed container! Back to the legit Pill Pockets for them!

How the cookie crumbles
By 31sunrise on Apr 8, 2019
Our 14 yr old husky has to take a couple different meds and she is very picky about taking them. These treats were harder & crumbled much easier that another brand we'd tried that was no longer available in our store. One pill is a larger size capsule and the treat just crumbled when we tried to shape the treat around it. They do OK for the smaller tablet but still crumble some when you try to seal the ends which you must do to get her to consider taking. She seems to like the taste if you just give the treat so not a total waste but didn't serve the purpose intended.

convenient storage
By Rynspups on Apr 8, 2019
My pup has required medication for several monthsand took it in a little cheese but recently he has decided he had enough. We started pill pockets about a month ago. He liked the Greenie chicken ones and takes his ills willingly but they got crushed in shipping so I thought I would try these. Unfortunately he did not like them. I do like their storage ability. They are firmer than the Greenies and have a stronger odor.

Good, not great
By Jamie on May 4, 2019
Dogs like these, but I prefer the Greenie pill pockets just because of the size of these. I have two dachshunds, so these are just large for one of them, but if I break it apart and each gets a piece with or without a pill. Probably be better for large breeds.

Defeats the purpose
By darthskaterr on Apr 8, 2019
Bought these to dispense small capsules to one of my dogs. When I opened them they smelled more like pineapple than anything else and were too big and too thick for my dog (who is a 60lbs Bull Terrier/Am Bully mix) to take his meds without biting into it and breaking the capsule open. I even tried cutting them in half to make it easier and it's hit or miss. Pretty disappointed with them overall.

Eh, not awesome
By Michelle on Apr 7, 2019
My dog, who eats nearly anything including shredding the garbage isn’t a fan of these. Even when I closed off the ends he managed to open it, take out his meds and discard both of them. I’m hoping I can get him to finish some of them. I bought both peanut butter and chicken flavor- he doesn’t have a preference. Looks like I’m trying a new product

Could be a lot better
By Crfew on Apr 2, 2019
My dog (Goldendoodle ) who eats nearly anything would barely touch these. The pill pockets do not flex well enough to keep the pills/ capsules so they just slide out. The chicken flavor is an inaccurate description of the smell of these pill pockets. Hopefully Dr. Lyon will be able to come up with a better recipe because these were a waste of money.

All dried up!
By Milo on Mar 25, 2019
The ones I received were so dried out that you couldn't really close up the pouch. My dog is smart and knows there's a pill inside. They're all clumped up in a canister and stuck together. The jar is nice, and the size of the pouch is nice, but I would definitely go with another product. I don't remember what I paid for them, but whatever it was wasn't worth it.

Pill Pockets
By Debra on Apr 8, 2019
these pill pockets are more dense than the ones I am used to and my dog who is small chews them instead of just gulping down the softer versions. Of course he spits the pill out once he realizes it is there. so for MY dog I would not purchase again. He likes them as a treat however.

Dr. Lyon's pill pouches
By Jgroom on Apr 7, 2019
Not as pliable as they should be to wrap around a pill. But I put one in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and this soften the pouch so it would wrap around pill. Also made the pouch easier for my old dog to chew. Still a great buy as most other pill inserts cost more plus my dog likes the flavor
