I prefer Greenies
By Kate on Sep 21, 2019
These pouches are hard and don’t wrap around the pills easily. Probably best for large dogs with large pills. Also, your dog needs to be a quick and unsuspicious eater bc the pills will fall out easily. I prefer the Greenies brand bc they break up easily and are soft. I ended up using these as treats instead of pill pouches. Dogs do seem to like the flavor. Will not purchase again.

Highly Disappointed!
By DVan on Apr 9, 2019
First off, I absolutely love Chewy.com! However, this product in my opinion is AWFUL. I was looking for an alternative to Pill pockets since my dog takes daily medications. I'm so happy that I purchased this on sale or I would be even more disappointed. The smell is just weird for lack of a better description. Smells like fake preservatives or almost like plastic, not even close to peanut butter. They were all stuck together in the jar. The texture is hard and not flexible so you aren't able to mold it around a pill like you are with pill pockets. The opening is rather large so the pill just falls right out. I gave one to my dog empty just to see if he would eat it. My dog eats EVERYTHING! He First off, I absolutely love Chewy.com! However, this product in my opinion is AWFUL. I can't say that I blame him. Needless to say, these went in the trash. … more

Worst Pill Pocket I've tried
By Tiana on Apr 24, 2019
Terrible. I have a 120lb dog and these are so big I have to cut them in half. They are hard, not at all soft like some of the other pill pouches. So there's no squishing it around the pill, its hard to keep it in. Since they're so hard my dog likes to chew it up, which means it's about a 1 in 3 chance he'll actually eat the pill with it, and not just spit it out. At least they were cheap!

Disappointing
By Mrlftimesx2 on Mar 30, 2019
I tried these pill pouches because of their lower price and higher quantity. Because I have 2 beagles that take quite a bit of medication. One has epilepsy and the other one has heart issues among other health problems. One of my beagles keeps spitting them out. It is so hard to get them to wrap around the pill because they are so dry. I will definitely go back to milkbone pill pouches because they are so much better. I just wish they would make them in larger quantities. I stopped using greenies because they are so expensive.

Absolute worst.
By Nessa on Mar 29, 2019
I posted a review on the beef flavor too. They’re hard and dry, smell STRONGLY of alcohol, and taste rancid. My not a picky eater husky would not touch them. Looked at me offended. Tasted them and understood why. Literally tasted rancid, like bile. Barely took a pinch off and it took an hour to get the taste out. Stick to greenies or milkbone. The fact it was both flavors tells me it’s not a fluke. But Chewy’s employees are amazing. Immediately refunded my money and passed along my concerns.

NOT User Friendly
By Apoll0 on Mar 30, 2019
I bought these because they were at a price I could not refuse. And they did not have any chicken by products. I was extremely disappointed when I could NOT mold the chew around my therapy dogs pill to hold it in place until he swallowed it. Stick to the brand that cornered the market on pill pockets. It's hard enough to get your dog to take pills. Why frustrate yourself in the process.

Maybe you'll have better luck
By Artista on Mar 29, 2019
My dog takes a daily allergy pill, I've had trouble with her and pill pouches. I was hoping she'd like these but she does not. They are difficult to use, crumble easily, are difficult to completely seal, and they do not mask the smell of pills. I make sure I don't handle the treat with the same hand that touches the pills, she turns up her nose at these treats. I will not buy again, maybe you'll have better luck.

My dog didn't like them
By rufus on Mar 25, 2019
I ordered these because my dog loves peanut butter flavored things, so I was hoping these would work for giving him his pills. He did not like them. I am not sure if it is the smell or texture, or both. He keep spitting it out and sniffing it. He finally did eat it but it took a while. Normally he almost swallows treats with few bites. I will keep trying to use them but my dog is not a big fan like he is with outer pill pocket type treats.

Dog would not eat them
By Crfew on Apr 2, 2019
My dog (Goldendoodle ) who eats nearly anything would not touch these. Even if she liked the flavor, they do not flex well enough to keep the pills/ capsules so they just slide out. The peanut butter flavor is an inaccurate description of the smell of these pill pockets. Hopefully Dr. Lyon will be able to come up with a better recipe because these were a waste of money.

Disappointed
By Ragnarsmom on Mar 23, 2019
I decided to try these because of price and quantity. I have a dog that is medicated 2x a day with 3pills each time and she's difficult to give meds to. While I can put all 3pills into the treat the treat is not easily pliable like greenies. Its drier and smells it is also extremely large.its very expensive at regular price. I'm going to cut these in half use as treats and thank goodness I got the greenies on hand
