Intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only, and should be fed as a treat. For best results, use one hand to handle the treat and the other to insert the pill. This will help to reduce the transfer of medicine smell or taste to the treat.
- Stuff: Hold the treat and insert the pill.
- Seal: Using the same hand that's holding the treat, pinch and squeeze both ends firmly to seal the openings.
- Feed: Once the pill is sealed inside, simply give to your dog as you would any other treat.

Dr Lyons vs Greenies
By RadarsMom on Jan 22, 2021 Top 100 Contributor
I bought these to switch it up from the greenies pill pockets that my dog eats daily. Palatability: My dog likes more than the greenies Peanutbutter flavor pockets & maybe almost as much as the chicken flavor. They’re a hit! Function: These are definitely thicker than Greenies and aren’t as pliable- which I think is perfect for dogs that spit out meds because they notice the obvious change in texture between a capsule and treat. My senior dog doesn’t really chew his food or treats- so giving him such a large pill pocket like this (even though he’s 55lbs) would be a choking hazard. I was able to break these into pieces & mold around his meds, but it wasn’t as easy to do like with the greenies I bought these to switch it up from the greenies pill pockets that my dog eats daily. Photo: I broke up one of the pill pockets so you can see how it crumbles a little when you squeeze the ends together. These seem like a great pill pocket, but just not for my old guy. They won’t go to waste though, as I’ve been giving these to him as treats! … more

Don’t recommend
By UberMomOf5 on Feb 16, 2021
I usually buy another brand which was out of stock and I figured I’d give these a try. Wasted my money and ended up donating these to our local animal boarding place. These pill pockets are not malleable, making it very difficult to wrap multiple pills at one time. They are also greasy and messy. Will not buy again.

Disgusting residue & Panned by dog
By LongtimeAnimalDad on Jan 9, 2021
Tried these along with two other pill pouches. The who needs these 3 x/day does NOT like these, which means that it FAILS in the ONLY duty of the pill pouch (i.e., to make the dog take her medicine without requiring the struggle of putting it in her mouth, monitoring that she actually consumes it, etc.). Besides that, near the end of the very small container, there was a disgusting wetness on the last layer of the pockets, and a residue on the bottom, etc. I had to wipe out the container and dry off the pouches to make them similar to the upper layers. Oh, and this brand's pouches are also the highest in calories of the three brands I tried.

Large, yet greasy
By CleosMom on Feb 10, 2021
These are very large. Too large for my dog's huge pills. I have to tear them apart and mold over the pills and they are so greasy and uncomfortable to use. I can hide 5 of his small to large pills in one pouch torn up to cover each pill. Otherwise, my boy loves them enough to take w/out arguing, so I give them 4-stars.

Ok but VERY oily
By Carissa on Dec 23, 2020
I like that these come in a hard container so you get them in the shape they are manufactured in - when you buy Greenie brand Pill Pockets (or anything in a soft container,) from Chewy, they throw it into the same box as your 30lb box of cat litter and dog kibble so they arrive totally smashed and you end up shaping what pieces of sheet you can peel off the inside of the bag around the pill. So that's initially why I tried these, but I'll be going back to the smashed flat pill pockets now that I've finished the first and only pack. My dog loves them and has no complaints there. It's me that no longer will take them because I'm tired of needing Dawn dish soap in order to get the oil off my I like that these come in a hard container so you get them in the shape they are manufactured in - when you buy Greenie brand Pill Pockets (or anything in a soft container,) from Chewy, they throw it into the same box as your 30lb box of cat litter and dog kibble so they arrive totally smashed and you end up shaping what pieces of sheet you can peel off the inside of the bag around the pill. It's me that no longer will take them because I'm tired of needing Dawn dish soap in order to get the oil off my hands after I put a pill into them. As you can see in the picture, once you get towards the bottom, everything is covered in a thick layer of brown oil. Really not nice to have to handle with your bare hands, and makes me concerned about how much fat is in these that my senior dog is eating. I can see someone liking these if a particularly picky dog likes the flavor, or if you are looking for a thick, large pocket treat. They are the thickest I've seen of these type, hold a large amount, and the grease might be good for getting really picky dogs to take them. But for anyone else I can't recommend these - just go for the regular old Pill Pockets. … more

Big Bully Loves Them!
By Tank on Feb 2, 2021
These are perfect for our American Bulldog's pain meds! They are actually large enough that I cut them in half and am able you get double the amount out of the container. The other pill pouches we were using were ok, but these are a much better quality and you can tell they have a good amount of peanut butter in them. I'm so glad I found these!

Meh........
By SadieMom on Jan 3, 2021
For nearly 4 years, my dog has taken her monthly medicine without any issue. Recently, she has decided she no longer wants to cooperate. I was looking for a larger pill pocket because one of her pills is bigger. I can just barely fit it into this pocket but then it pretty much just falls apart. I use the heat from my hands to mold it together (thus getting the greasy oil all over me). Even then, she has figured out how to eat the pocket and not the pill. In the end, covering it in good old peanut butter has worked. This was a fail for me. The oiliness is a turnoff too.

Not soft enough
By Robert on Feb 19, 2021
These pill pouches are not nearly soft enough. My dog had to chew them so much that all his pills fall out. Other softer pill pouches work better because he nearly inhales them.

Smells goooood
By Lola on Sep 28, 2020
I can't really go by my dog's reaction to these because she'll eat just about anything, except her pills, but these pouches smell delicious! The calories are a bit higher than Greenies but they're just all-around nicer to handle. No stink, not greasy and less crumbly.

Excellent Pill Pouches
By Dogmom on Oct 29, 2020
These pill pouches are moist and perfect for small dogs to take meds. I actually cut them in half. They smell like pure peanut butter and my 12 pound Rat Terrier loves them!!
