Description

Help support your pal’s digestive health with the Dr. Mercola Digestive Enzymes Dog & Cat Supplement. As cats and dogs age, their tummies make less of the digestive enzymes they need for healthy digestion and to absorb nutrients from food. This formula has specially-selected enzymes to support your pal’s digestion and unlock essential nutrients from meals, including betaine HCL, bromelain from natural pineapples, and papain from papayas. Plus, it includes pancreatin, an animal-based enzyme that has protease, amylase, and lipase―essential enzymes that help digest fats, protein, and starches. These natural enzymes have also been shown to support healthy blood circulation, cell growth and normal weight, as well as energy and a healthy immune system.

  • Smells like home perm solution

    By on

Neither my cat nor my dog will eat food if this is in it. They'll avoid it like the plague. When I ordered it after reading everyone else's reviews that complained that it smells like chemicals... they downplay how how unbelievably bad that is. I thought, how bad can it be? It's bad. It's on the level of home perm solution smell which, if you've never had one, is a seriously toxic smell. I feel bad just having put it in their food.

  • Mine doesn't smell like chemicals

    By on

Eating a nutrition rich food, my dogs were still having loose stools after trying all kinds of remedies. Last resort was, maybe they just don't have the gut to digest it! Bought these enzymes, and if anything they smell like the garbage when it starts to break down. The product I receive never smells like chemicals and I am on #3. My dogs aren't bothered by it at all, and the very first feeding.... All tummy issues resolved and they are loosing that grain fat and developing nice and sleek!

  • Smelly but good

    By on

Our puppy, despite eating premium food and probiotics, still had loose stools and GI issues (gas, gurgling, etc.). After a week on these enzymes, she's perfect. We're coming up on a month of use now, and her poop is still perfect. I will be ordering this again. Our cat, despite eating everything put in front of him, won't touch it. I've tried to disguise the enzymes with various other smelly stuff, but no luck.

One of my dogs, 15 year old Holly has been having digestive issues, so I started her on this digestive enzyme and it has really helped her.

Hard to determine if this is helping my pet's digestion but I trust Dr. Mercola so will continue to add this to their daily meals.

  • Transitioning to Raw

    By on

Purchased this because I wanted to make sure my dog’s stomach could handle the transition to raw food. It worked perfectly. I sprinkled the recommended amount on her raw food each morning. Her stomach wasn’t upset nor did she get diarrhea or loose stools during her transition. I also used the complete probiotic in the evening to sprinkle on her evening meal.

  • Strong Chemical Smell

    By on

My cats did not like this enzyme product at all! It smells almost like cat urine. I used 1/4 scoop per meal twice a day, and they picked at it a little and left. I thought I could save some money by using Dr Mercola Digestive Enzymes, but I am going back to the local pet store to buy their product.

  • Dog stopped vomiting

    By on

My bulldog had digestive issues as a puppy (he was fed kibble) and would vomit a few times a week, undigested food, about 2-3 hours after eating. I used a probiotic and it cleared it up. Now, at 1.5 years old, I transitioned him to a raw diet and the same thing started happening. I tried a few other things (like plant based enzymes) and none worked. But since using Dr Ms, he has not vomited once (2+ months now). It really works.

  • Great food additive!

    By on

I started using this after a recommendation from a vet tech friend for my smooth collie that was having digestive issues. It definitely seems to help him. I decided to have my other collie start taking it too and now his anal gland issues are clearing up! Good stuff!
