Description

Help support your pal’s digestive health with the Dr. Mercola Digestive Enzymes Dog & Cat Supplement. As cats and dogs age, their tummies make less of the digestive enzymes they need for healthy digestion and to absorb nutrients from food. This formula has specially-selected enzymes to support your pal’s digestion and unlock essential nutrients from meals, including betaine HCL, bromelain from natural pineapples, and papain from papayas. Plus, it includes pancreatin, an animal-based enzyme that has protease, amylase, and lipase―essential enzymes that help digest fats, protein, and starches. These natural enzymes have also been shown to support healthy blood circulation, cell growth and normal weight, as well as energy and a healthy immune system.

I am giving these digestive enzymes along with probiotics and 5 star dog foods (dry, wet and raw). This combination has made a super puppy! He can be around other animals that are sick without ever getting sick himself. He is the most athletic dog I've ever seen, able to leap over logs, burrow under brambles and navigate underbrush like a champ! I can't even begin to describe how healthy he is. The one time when he was very young he scraped himself on a bramble (not now that his wire coat has come in) he healed in a day and there isn't one scar. He got a minor bee sting after trying to dig up a nest of hibernating bees and there was almost no swelling (went away in an hour) and no reaction. Minor injuries/traumas that would bother most dogs don't even faze him in the slightest. … more

  • Awesome product!

My 1 year tortie has basically thrown up once a day since we got her. The vet had put her on a special diet and the vomiting still continued. After doing some research and realizing that a lot of time cats can lack the proper enzymes needed, I turned to these. I have not been disappointed! So far the throwing up has subsided and she takes it like a champ. If you have a cat that continues to throw up I would definitely give these a go!

  • Mercola Digestive Enzymes

My dog was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis. She was wracked with stomach problems and soft stool. After trying many products, including other digestive plant-based enzymes, we tried Dr. Mercola which worked right away. She's now back to normal.

We just started this product so we’re not sure if it will work yet. On the website it said it could take a week or two. Our little guy does not mind the powder on his food and continues to eat it.

  • Transitioning to Raw

    By on

Purchased this because I wanted to make sure my dog’s stomach could handle the transition to raw food. It worked perfectly. I sprinkled the recommended amount on her raw food each morning. Her stomach wasn’t upset nor did she get diarrhea or loose stools during her transition. I also used the complete probiotic in the evening to sprinkle on her evening meal.

  • Dog stopped vomiting

    By on

My bulldog had digestive issues as a puppy (he was fed kibble) and would vomit a few times a week, undigested food, about 2-3 hours after eating. I used a probiotic and it cleared it up. Now, at 1.5 years old, I transitioned him to a raw diet and the same thing started happening. I tried a few other things (like plant based enzymes) and none worked. But since using Dr Ms, he has not vomited once (2+ months now). It really works.

  • Smells bad, works great

    By on

This powder has an intense Sulphur smell but it has improved our Frenchie's digestion. We feed raw and his bathroom habits were quite irregular (he wasn't going every day) until we started using this. Now his poops are firm, predictable and healthy!

  • The answer I've been looking for

My 2 senior pets take this every day (1 cat and 1 dog). At first I was skeptical because it smells pretty bad. It's normal to stink because it contains animal (pig pancreas) and plant enzymes. I mixed the recommended amount into my cats wet food and she gobbled it up. My picky dog took a while to adjust to the texture, so I added 1/4 tsp coconut oil along with some water and ground up kibble and she ate it with gusto. Pets (and people) have a limited amount of enzymes and when they are gone, they're gone. Enzyme deficiency can present problems too numerous to list. My dog was almost starving because of her intense gastric ulcers and esophageal reflux disease. Along with her veterinary protocol(Pepcid every night, lower protein food and frequent small meals) and monitoring this has been a miracle. She was not improving on her meds alone and nothing helped until I tried this. After 2 days of enzymes she was almost completely better. After 1 week she is a new dog! She is eating and playing and slowly gaining weight. Her whole life is better because she can digest and absorb her food without pain and she doesn't vomit because she has an appetite again and can eat regularly. If your pet has any health issues (even if they don't) this is worth a try. Do your research and talk to your vet, it will help your pet live a better life. … more
