Description

Keep pesky pets off your pooch with the Dr. Mercola Herbal Flea, Tick & Mosquito Repellent Collar for Large Dogs. The collar is infused with safe, proven and all-natural insect-repelling essential oils to keep away fleas, ticks and mosquitoes with no harsh chemicals or toxins. It’s easy to put on and lasts for four months for long-term protection without messes or hassles. The easy-to-wear collar has geranium, wintergreen and almond oils in the material to form an invisible anti-pest barrier around your pup that won’t come off if he gets wet. Plus, it smells minty fresh, which is a nice bonus!

Key Benefits
  • The collar is infused with natural, non-toxic essential oils that repel fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.
  • Keeps working for up to four months for lasting protection and is great for large dogs and puppies; fits necks up to 27 inches.
  • No messes or hassles or needing to reapply, and it stays effective even when it gets wet.
  • Made with geranium, wintergreen and almond oils so it adds a nice minty fragrance.
  • Made in the USA with zero chemicals or toxins so it’s safe to use regularly and as needed.
Precautions

Keep out of reach of children and pets. For external use only. If signs of irritation occur, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. Avoid contact with eyes and clothing. Not for use on puppies under 4 months. Do not use the collar to fasten or hold your pet.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

    Worst protection ever

    By on

I bought multiple quantities the first time, first one lasted a couple months, the second one broke into pieces two days after I put it on my dog, the third one I left on for a couple months. I had to get a new collar during the beginning stages of the Covid outbreak and the only ones available were this brand, my dog has had it on for about 6 weeks and I've pulled 5 ticks off her, ironically they were all on or near her neck and the collar. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

    So disappointed in this collar.

    By on

I have ordered these twice for my 4 Cockerkids, and as much as I wanted and needed them to work, they just didn't. I'm so disappointed that Dr. Mercola collars didn't keep the fleas off of my poor furbabies. They were so infested with fleas, I was embarrassed when the groomers told me how bad they were. I had to break down and give them Bravecto. It was against my better judgment, but at least they're flea free.

    Not worth the money

    By on

I bought one for my Siberian Husky and one for my Miniature Pinscher to ward off the mosquitoes that swarm around them when they go outside. The large collar would NOT thread through, leaving me to TIE the collar around my Husky's neck securing it with a bread tie. The mosquitoes are STILL swarming around her face, even though the scent of the collar is super strong. This was a complete waste of money.

    Used to be better

    By on

We've used these for a few years and have had success with keeping ticks away even if it made our greyhound smell like a breath mint. But the two we recently ordered are not good, we leave a longish "tail" outside the buckle because sometimes hot weather makes it shrink a bit but both of them the tail has snapped off after two weeks and the second one isn't really buckling securely.

    Crappy collar

    By on

I bought two of these for my dogs. They stayed on for 12 hours total. One of mine broke his from doing back scratches in the grass....snapped the collar. My other dog scratched his neck, caught the collar, snapped in two. Waste of time and money

    Garbage cheap collar

    By on

Absolutely the worst Collar ever. This crap is made in France. Wintergreen oil is poisonous for dogs and that's what this crap is made of. It literally made me sick, my poor dog wouldn't stop sneezing and pacing around. I ripped it off him and of course the crap broke and went in the garbage. Called the company who makes it and was told it's safe. I researched it and poisonous. DON'T BUY THIS CRAP

    Customer Service

    By on

The Collar came with two pieces. One I believe is the herbal part and the other the collar. There is no instructions on how to attach the herbal part to the collar. I emailed the company and they just replied on how to put the collar on the dog which is noted on the box. I responded asking about the herbal part again and got no response.

    Terrible Collar

    By on

Ordered 3. None of the 3 would thread through the buckle and all 3 broke. The loosely attached clear plastic tubing looking thing does NOT stay on...not sure if its supposed to or not. Terrible would never buy again.

    Defective Collar

    By on

Bought this collar for my Redbone Coonhound, he wore it for a week and he now has a large red sore under his neck and he had a tick under the top of the collar. Not happy at all. he now has to go to the vet. Should be sending this bill to chewy. I have been buying from this company for along time.
